Obviously an inside job as the mesh roof was repaired after the theft and the security system wasn't working at the time. I wanted a unit that couldn't be accessed unless you open the door. It was harder than I thought. I guess it's the new way to build storage units. The storage unit behind Petsmart on victory drive doesn't even have a roof. The units are open. Finally I found this place! I have a climate controlled unit that is easily accessed by driving up to the access door and putting in my unique code. It's got a light timer so no waste of electricity. The front gates are open from 7 am to 8 pm according to Google but I thought the guy that signed me up for my unit said it was open while the office was open which is 9 am to 5 pm. Daily. I haven't ever tried to visit my unit other during this time so I'm not sure. My unit went up in price recently, but is still cheaper than my Life Storage unit. I haven't experienced any issues. The buildings are elevated so the units seem to be high enough off the ground to prevent flooding.

But Dana Gaudry and Brooks treated us like we were their only client. Never in my life have I been treated so well by the owner of a company. Any questions we had, we could email customer service or call American Moving and Storage. Dana was very prompt in his responses, answering every email the same business day, and in the calls we made to AMS, if the representative we were speaking with couldn't answer the question, they didn't lie to us just to get us off the phone. They truly took the time to ask whoever could answer us, and again, made us feel like we meant the world to them. The moving team arrived at our apartment promptly at 9:30am, moved everything from our old home to the moving truck in a matter of hours, and unloaded our belongings to our new home in an even shorter amount of time. Even with our 350-pound California King mattress and other large items, the moving team was very efficient in how they moved our belongings, even when having to navigate the small stairwell leading to our 3rd floor apartment. American Moving and Storage made this move very easy. I cannot thank Dana, Brooks and our moving team enough. Our move was nearly stress-free, all thanks to AMS.

This situation constitutes a deceptive practice. A company lacking in trustworthiness should not be awarded any positive ratings. Additionally, be cautious that they may damage your property and subsequently hold you responsible for the incident. Their moving truck left an oil stain on our driveway, and they are claiming that due to the delay in paying our bill (as we were disputing the charges, but we promptly informed them of the stain the very next day), the stain set in. Despite their efforts, the stain remains, and it is not our fault. You sent a damaged vehicle to our property, causing the damage. This is a lesson learned, never again.
