It was harder than I thought. I guess it's the new way to build storage units. The storage unit behind Petsmart on victory drive doesn't even have a roof. The units are open. Finally I found this place! I have a climate controlled unit that is easily accessed by driving up to the access door and putting in my unique code. It's got a light timer so no waste of electricity. The front gates are open from 7 am to 8 pm according to Google but I thought the guy that signed me up for my unit said it was open while the office was open which is 9 am to 5 pm. Daily. I haven't ever tried to visit my unit other during this time so I'm not sure. My unit went up in price recently, but is still cheaper than my Life Storage unit. I haven't experienced any issues. The buildings are elevated so the units seem to be high enough off the ground to prevent flooding.

I was remodeling a home and placed all of my furniture in storage here in a climate controlled,…read moresupposedly video monitored unit. ALL of my belongings were stolen from the unit and the owner was horrible about the whole ordeal. I went to pick up a few things and the exterior lock had been changed. I called the owner to report the issue and cut the lock. He assured me I did not have the correct key or unit number and refused to come to the building until the next morning. The next morning he angrily cut the lock to find only some packing paper left. He immediately started stammering and asking if I had anyone who was mad with me and knew my furniture was here. I was obviously upset and called the local police department. The owner offered no apology, said this has never happened before and he needed something from the office. He then drove off and left me there to talk with the police. The officer that came out took notes for a report, but said that nothing would probably come of it and that they have had this happen several times there! He said the "video surveillance" they advertise is only a camera at the entrance/exit and not on any individual units, so there would be no way to actually track anything down with no other information. The owner never returned any phone calls from the officer, of course. In addition, the passcode on the keypad is never changed. So anyone who has ever had a unit there can easily punch in the code and have access to any unit if they cut the lock. This place appeared clean and definitely wasn't the cheapest around. Store your belongings here at your own risk.
