I haven't been at Bodi since the beginning but I have been a member for over 5 years and I definitely love that place! There are multiple options of classes that incorporate strength and cardio, yoga, heated mat Pilates and boxing (now Hyrox based class and straight lifting classes). They have expanded to 3 studios to offer all those classes, which is amazing! There's always a variety of exercises to hit the main muscles groups and the accessory muscle groups. The recovery room is super convenient to use after a class or on a rest day. Variety of class times to meet a large range of schedules. They truly value their members and community and are constantly finding ways to benefit the members even more. It can always be a little intimidating trying a new gym or class but I think they do a great job at trying to make everyone feel welcome & it's generally easy to follow along if feeling lost during a workout. The coaches bring so much energy & fun to the classes as well. Bodi is very affordable in comparison to other gyms (especially if you catch one of their sales around holidays). Class pass is another great way to experience some bodi classes. Definitely worth it to try at least once!!

I also love the layout of the gym it's clean, well spaced out, and the equipment is great. My only con so far is that, in my experience, the trainers haven't been very engaged with the class or offered much guidance on form. One of the things I love most about group fitness is when instructors hype up the room & shouting out members, offering motivation, or demoing the moves alongside the class instead of just in the beginning and I haven't really seen that yet. That said, the staff are all super friendly, the gym offers so much more than just strength training (which I'm excited to explore), and the playlists are a solid 10/10. If you're in Scottsdale or just want to try a new gym I highly recommend this one!

I've been working out with Lucas since I moved to Scottsdale about 1.5 years ago…read more Lucas is the first true personal trainer I've worked with, but I have had multiple gym memberships at various places, some of which allowed me to sign up for one-off 1:1 training sessions. Unfortunately, none of those gym memberships or 1:1 training sessions worked for me. The difference between my prior memberships and Lucas is the accountability factor and the added bonus of having a registered dietitian helping from a nutrition standpoint. No one at 24 Hour Fitness is holding you accountable to show up everyday, and no one at Orangetheory is delivering a workout that is tailored to your specific goals. Lucas has been great about adjusting workouts based on my personal objectives, and his dietitian has been equally great with consistent recommendations specifically for me. Above all: Lucas switches it up so it's not boring and mundane, he's fun and personable, and he's flexible with my crazy busy work and travel schedule. I'd recommend him to anyone looking to get fit. If you put in the work, you will see results!

But I knew I needed more. I wanted to lose additional fat, build lean muscle, and truly tone my body, but I didn't have the knowledge or structure to get there on my own. That's where Coach Josiah made all the difference. From the very beginning, he took the time to get to know me on a personal level before ever introducing his program. That stood out immediately. Our communication was consistent and meaningful, and that accountability was exactly what I needed. I was able to be open about injuries and limitations, and instead of letting those hold me back, he guided me through them with a plan that kept me progressing safely and effectively. Because of Josiah's coaching, I am now at the lowest weight I've been since I was a young teenager. More importantly, I feel stronger, more confident, and more informed about how to maintain and continue improving my fitness. If you're looking for someone who truly cares, communicates, and knows what they're doing, I can confidently say he is someone you can trust. I came to Rachel at a time in my life when I needed workout training, structure and accountability and Rachel has provided all of that and then some within this year. I can count on one hand how many training sessions that I was unable to make within a year because Rachel made my training fun and do-able. I'm also amazed at the stamina that I now have and the things that I'm now able to do with my body that I wasn't able to do when I first started. My back, ankles and knees no longer hurt me and give me problems. My legs and arms are physically stronger and allows me to do day to day functions without any struggle or pain. One of the many things that I appreciate with Rachel as a trainer is her knowledge and ability to assess and customize the perfect training as well as nutrition plan for you; all trainers do not know nutrition as well as training and believe me good nutrition is 80% of weight loss and healthy living. It is also comforting to know that I am not just another paying customer in a group of hourly/daily trainees but that Rachel has actually sat down and assessed my daily/weekly workout plan before I start my weekly training, she watches me to ensure that I am doing the exercises or using the machines correctly for my safety and to overall ensure that I meet the training goals that we discussed at the onset of our training relationship. If you are looking for that one in a million knowledgeable, punctual, reliable and experienced trainer you should definitely give Rachel a try, I promise you won't regret it and I'm not one that is so easily impressed.
