I went mini-golfing with my friend around 7:30-8:00 pm in the evening to avoid the heat. However, there was no escaping the heat! Even in the evening, it was still hot and we both were sweating as we were doing outdoor mini-golfing. In order to enter the premise, you need to wear a mask then as you're mini-golfing you may remove it. There were a bunch of groups but pretty good about spacing out and social distancing. The one complaint I have is that the course is not clear about where the ball goes next. The group in front of us had the same issue of not being able to find the location of where the ball goes next after it goes into the buildings. We luckily found where it leads to next as we were about to give up. We ended up playing 36 holes and wanted to come back the following night to go on the water slides but did not come back in time. I really liked that the location was super close to our hotel so we had no issues getting there and going back. I would come back here and recommend people to check it out. I really like that they are open late. read more

Ok, I went into this with the best intentions, but I'll try not to use my bad time cloud the place. Venue- Overall the venue is pretty interesting. Kind of a castle environment on the outside, but as you walk in, it goes away. The parking lot is poorly lit. At least it was when I went at 8pm. Make sure to go with someone, I didn't see cameras. Attractions- We played a round of mini golf, which for the three of us, it cost about $26. This is really high in my opinion, especially given the lack of care on the course. Golf course- Above I mentioned the price, but the course was in poor shape. Looking run down in a couple spots. Don't play at night, or else bring a flashlight. Again, no lights, common problem. The 18th hole is just a blaring green light, nothing fun. Pretty disappointing for what I paid for. Arcade- Now the arcade was decent. Games worked, no issues I saw. Standard buy a card, just like Dave and Busters, and swipe to play. Overall- For the price I paid, my experiences would've been a lot better with some tweaks. Hopefully they will change the light bulbs. I will try one more time.. read more

Not much of a crowd which is nice but the customer service of those at the food bar has a lot to be desired. Consider hiring people who are friendly and willing to talk instead of just shrugging their shoulders. read more

Poor Golfland Sunsplash, you get a bad rap. Maybe it's because I don't have children that I like you. I like you enough to even tolerate people that let their children hop all over the place ruining a relaxing evening of very unskilled mini golf. I don't care if you are outdated. I appreciate the nostalgia and will continue to visit it you once every year or so just to enjoy all the memories and have some good times. read more

Maybe my hopes were too high when I made plans to go to Sunsplash. I was overwhelmed by the crowd. So many people were crammed into this relatively small space. Never in my life have I seen a line for a wave pool. I typically think of the wave pool as a retreat from the lines. Not at Sunsplash. The lazy river was so packed I could hardly see the "river" part. Not exactly a relaxing experience. Not only that, but the water park seemed less than sanitary. I saw several people with bloody noses, and I couldn't help but wonder when the last time they thoroughly sanitized the place. The park is also open at night...I will not be venturing over to Sunsplash after dark. You know what likes to come out at night? Bugs. Big ones. (I'm a Coloradan...call me spoiled...but large bugs just aren't a part of life where I'm from.) The slides are fun, especially the gigantic ones. If you plan to go on the big slides, be sure to bring your friends! Expect to carry a massive raft up several flights of stairs. There are no mechanisms that bring the empty rafts up to the slide entrance for customers. I got a workout just by hauling our raft around! Whatever you do, do NOT open your water bottles prior to entering the park. They will throw them out. Bring a few gigantic bottles and rent a locker; a large cup of ice can be purchased at the concession stand for 25 cents. Bring cash too. A locker is $11, but you receive $5 back when you present your receipt with the locker key. Also, I recommend bringing some plastic flip-flops. There's nothing worse than tromping around dirty grounds covered with strangers' hairs and other disgusting debris. Food is quite pricey (no surprise here). It is a fun place to spend a Saturday, just don't expect anything too elaborate. read more

We stopped in for a game of mini golf on a Monday night! It was a lot of fun and the staff was mostly friendly (a little drone-like as I'm sure they deal with a lot of crap from people). We had a good time and we bought our tickets online for a cheaper price than what they sell at the window! This week on a rare occasion my boyfriend and I both had a day off during the week. What to do we thought? It wasn't enough time to take a trip to the north country ( Sedona ahhh) but we figured it would be a great day to release our inner child at Sunsplash. Out of all the water parks I have been to in AZ Sunsplash is my favorite. It has the most slides hands down and that's pretty much what I am looking for in a water park. I believe in total they have around twelve. We arrived nice and early this morning, and as it was a week day it wasn't very crowded. After getting used to the water in the wave pool we hit up the slides. First was obviously the Master Blaster a patented Sunsplash ride, and then the rest of the tube slide rides which are all fun minus The Thunderbolt! Then we hit up the other side of the park with all the slides you don't need a tube to go on and the drop slides ( Yay wedgies). By the end of the day when we were, or at least I was, getting exhausted we hung out at the lazy river, wave pool, and kiddie area and played some water basketball. All and all I would say the day was a success. Although at the end of the day I felt very old! I was tired, a bit burnt, had a headache, and was famished (no good food options). I don't ever remember feeling that much fatigue here when I was younger! Next time I'll pack the aspirin and snacks for my ancient booty! A great way to spend a day having fun in the sun. Just be prepared for kids,sun, and make sure you have the energy to burn! Website says they are open till 10. Bought 6 passes online for 5-10 night splash. Got there and they said they were closing at 7pm. They offered a refund however no proration off a 5 hour purchase down to 2 hours. Then they tried to sell me a full price ticket as if were a gift of 19.99 for 2 hours after refunding my $15. Still for just 2 hours. The "manager" boy told me there was nothing he could do cuz he didn't set the prices. All of our kids had waited all week to go tonight and now we left with just 1.5 hrs to go in so we opted out. Why would we pay full price for 5 hours and only get 2?! Very disappointing. Don't set prices and hours that hurt families and then put children with no authority in charge when you don't allow them to make decisions when it makes sense. Poor service. Bad prices. It serves the purpose. That's about it. Raging Waters it is not. A smaller water park attached to a mini golf course it is. Slides are fun. Night splash is great--no sun, bearable temperatures and no sun burn. I definitely would never go during the day. I couldn't imagine standing in line for 1 hour+ with no shade, 110+ temps and broken misters (I didn't see a functioning mister in the entire park). Park could use a bit maintenance. Staff could use a bit of training. Lines were very disorganized. Staff didn't have much of a clue as to what was going on. Ex: spent our last 45 minutes waiting for the wave pool, getting into the wave pool and waiting about 15-20 minutes only for the wave pool to never come on and for the park to close. Losing almost a full hour out of the 4 that night splash is open was a bit disappointing. I'd probably still return. But only because there's nothing better in the valley. read more

I've been to my fair share of mini-golf places, and for the most part they are all the same. But Golfland Sunsplash was a hoot! This was probably one of the nicest and well-maintained mini-golf courses I've been to in a long while. The grass was manicured, and the golf greens were smooth. All the structures had new paint and looked really nice. The golf hole attractions include a great windmill, a rocky stream (that your ball WILL fall into), and little general store; but the best part is the volcano! Every 30 minutes or so it erupts with flames! I really had a lot of fun at Golfland, and it seemed like all the other patrons around me were enjoying themselves, too. Golfland Sunsplash also has an arcade, laser tag, and race cars - but I didn't try those out. I have been to the water park before, and it's a decent escape from the heat of summer. If you are looking for a few hours of entertainment, try out mini-golf at Golfland, and remember, no one is actually good at putt-putt. read more

Love this place I take my family all the time it has reasonable prices. Lines can be long but at the same time fast I go about 6 times in the summer to cool off from this crazy sun we have here in AZ. only thing I will say is the parking could use some work and of course there are some things that are run down but its been here for a long time it might need a little tune up not much though some new paint maybe a new ride or two but I love this place it is one of the better ones in AZ no lie. I would like to see them do more thing with the community that would be nice but I well only go here. To sum this up its newer then big surf and cheaper then wet .Keep up the good work oh one last this it would be nice to get some louder music playing by the pools. read more

Spent a few hours here with my visiting daughters from WI and my eldest daughter who lives here and her daughter (my grandbaby) it was great to watch them all have such a fun time! Water slides, wave pool, todler splash pads and water slides and lazy river were all a great time they said. The food was very good and the staff were all extremely helpful to us first timers and very friendly. Free parking as well. For the price this was a great value ! I would suggest this to others, and certainly take my family again. read more

3.5 Stars for me. I like this place. The very good: Some of the more advanced/extreme slide rides provide quite a thrill. I actually liked the fries (and fry sauce) at the concession stand. All of the staff, while mostly very young, seemed pretty on top of things, and they were friendly and helpful. The good: The overall "fun" atmosphere. The wave pool. The kiddie lily pad area is cute. Lines a bit long for some things, but manageable on weekdays. Parking was easy. Ticketing and entry process wasn't too painful or slow. Shade - when you need it - seems easy enough to find. A decent number of lounge chairs on grass were available throughout the day, although I imagine on weekends there won't be many to spare. the park attendants seem to have a good eye for safety and potential violations - nipping things in the bud before they become problematic. The fair: Food quality. Ive read a few complaints, but I felt the burgers, chicken strips, and fry bread were all OK, or more accurately, they were within expectations given that we were in an amusement park. Smoking area pretty easy to find by stepping right outside the main entrance, and getting back in the park a breeze due to bracelet system. Forcing little kids or older folks to climb six flights of narrow metal stairs while hauling a four person raft seems....well, non-optimal. There has to be a better way to get rafts back to the starting point. The sad: 8$ lockers with good space for one or two people, but with four people it was next to impossible to squeeze our dry gear in. Concession prices rather high (think $9.75 fast food combo meals, $4 drinks, etc.), although I suppose that is par for the course for monopolized concessions like theaters, water parks, stadiums, etc. Every venue of that type will always get a yelp star deducted from me for that....we shouldn't have to live with such high concession prices when ticket prices are already high enough *sigh*. The oh-so-very-sad: WET changing area floors with not-so-great odors as the day nears the end. I mean it was SOAKED and very frustrating trying to change from wet to dry while keeping wallets and phones from touching soaked areas. Needs hanging hooks or better sloped drainage in the stalls, not just a teen with a mop or whatever. I'd recommend this place to most people and most groups, with the caveat to (a) bring a cooler of iced/sealed water bottles, (b) eat right before you get there to avoid blowing $10 per person on fast food, and (c) look for the oft-available deals that bring the entry price to a more manageable level, like $22. read more

I have been to this park many times. It was advertised open 10 to 5. There was a private girl scout activity and my daughter has AUTISM. I always have been a yearly client with season passes. She did not understand that she could not go to the area where fun slides were. She is violent. Spoke to the manager, she said she did not care. Water park is not DISABLE friendly. read more

In response to the managers response to my original post about how run down this place is I would like to add, it is untrue about 15 admission windows, where might this b? I believe there are 5 maybe and these are super long lines. I did not see 15 admission windows anywhere and unsure what you are referring to. Also, it is nice that you remodeled your restrooms and added changing rooms however, no one is usually impressed by restrooms so to use that as a recourse for me saying everything else in the park being rundown is absurd. The lazy river being brown and filmy is not because of recent dust storms. The brown is not removable they are permanent stains and the chipped tiles are poor maintenance over the years. My other question you ignored to answer is why might it be the staff are unhappy here? No common courtesy or even smiles from not one. This is suppose to be a fun family experience and it use to be in years past. Oh Golfland Sunsplash! Back in the 80s, this place was the bee's knees... if you didn't have your birthday party here, man you were whack as they come. i recently returned for a round of miniature golf (they have three courses to choose from and is WAAAY better than the courses offered at Castles and Coasters and Fiddlesticks, hands down) and still had a blast. as for the water park , it's super fun and they're adding new attractions all the time. although, i heard they're having a crackdown on the lazy river and you can only go around twice before they drag you out...how lame - but at thispoint it's all heresay and conjecture as i have not been to the water park portion in some time. um, i would advise water-friendly shoes (i know they're dorky) because walking around a full day on the fry an egg on the sidewalk pool-texture deck is KILLER on your poor feet. and in summer peak months the lines for the slides can get hair pulling long - especially when you're surrounded by 10 year olds with sticky ice cream faces. read more

Okay, you want to golf and swim all in the same day and then even play lazer tag, okay well, you got it; this is the place for you. OVer all, this is the place where you can ware a swimsuit and go play some golf. go down a waterslide and then jump on a bumper bout; all in the same place as then going a head and racing to the gout carts. They really do have all those things and even if you want to do only one thing, you will still have a great time; plus, they even have a game area so you don't even have to go outside if you really don't want to, lol. A great place to go and have a family, friend or just a birthday kinda day; sure, to be a date spot if you want to deal with all the, well, really it just a fun over all place that you are sure to have a great time. read more

It's been a good summer using season passes. Can come for a couple of hours and leave. On long days you can leave gone at & return. Never found on website where if we were buying 4+ season passes we had to do on line. Since you have to go to counter no matter what to get photo ID's if you are getting 4+ you should get the deal End of summer staff is tired. Don't patrol the lazy river well and undisciplined kids name it not fun for families. Like parking is free and watched. read more

I went the first night of the 2020 Nightsplash (6-10 pm) evening. As I looked around I noticed everything was clean, the crowds were social distancing and tables were spaced 6 ft apart for getting back after quarantine ended. Being outside was great, families were swimming and everything seemed fine with our visit until I noticed there were a Ton of girls in Thong bathing suit's which made me very uncomfortable as I was visiting the park with my grandchildren. I asked the security guard if that was something that was normal and he said No, that Sunsplash is a Family oriented venue. He wanted me to point out anyone wearing a thong and I said that's not my job,I'm just letting you know because I feel uncomfortable. I tried to ignore it as much as possible but I'm not sure if I will be back. But Other than that the park visit to Sunsplash was Fun. read more

I can only comment on what I experienced during our night time visit for "the Gauntlet" haunted house. We had purchased a combo ticket for the haunted house and spooky golf. We have only recently moved here and didn't know our way around and the signs weren't clear of where to go. Having visited the restroom first, I found it to be disgusting with an overflowed toilet and water on the floor. Quickly leaving that area we had to ask around to find the haunted house. It was well done for the space used and I have no compliant about that. Once done with the haunted house we went to get our golf clubs and proceeded to what we thought was the golf course. We didn't know where to go so picked one of two- called the Princess. Really tough course and I wondered where all of the decorations were. Once done the crazy course we came across the one we expected to play on- the spooky one but had no signs leading to it. I complained about it and was told "we don't tell people about the spooky one unless they ask and if we wanted to play we can pay extra". No apologies and really- no signs?? Had to visit the restroom again before leaving and found it to be functioning but disgusting still. Note to parents- bring hand sanitizer and eat elsewhere as the food looked awful as well. read more

The service here is awesome. The mini-golf is about $8 per person and totally worth it. We did the hardest course and it was only another $2 for another round (we did the medium course). I would definitely come back. This is a fun way to spend an afternoon. They also have waterslides in the park and gokarts across the street. read more

Waterslide Hyperdrive By The Rue Sunday I took my boys to Sunsplash, It was a party I had to crash, After five hours we were gone in a flash, None of us developed a rash. Been a while since I went down the slides, Kids had fun going down on their hides, The wave pool doesn't have tides, Entertainment this place provides. Checked out moms in their bikini, Did funny things to my weenie, I didn't wear a hat or a beanie, Rub the side of a lamp, get a genie. $50 bucks for the season pass, I mostly chilled in the grass, My kids are awesome and never sass, I like to fish for trout and bass. While the kids played I read a book, Every 2 minutes gave those moms a look, They probably thought I was a crook, There was nothing of value that I could've took. I came here solely for the reason I was desperate to get wet and wear a skimpy bathing suit. Sadly, it was off season and only two slides were open. Regardless, I still had so much fun on those two slides and I will definitely come back during the on season to try all of the slides! I will always love Golfland/Sunsplash and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Although I wish it wasn't filled with dirty, screaming kids that pee in the water, I still find it to be pretty darn fun. In my younger years, the crazy water slides that made you feel as if you were about to catch air and plummet to your certain death at any moment were my favorite. Now, you'll find me in the lazy river. I see nothing wrong with lying in an inner tube as the water pulls you around a stream over and over again. Bring lots of sun block and reapply it often or you will surely burn to a crisp. The Waikiki beach with its huge waves is fun too, but it is filled with so many people that it's usually better to stick to the less popular attractions if you don't want to get hit by flaying limbs. read more

This was actually our first time here to play golf. I probably won't be going back. The lady who checked us out was very nice and explained everything since it was our first time we had no idea. We took four kids and their balls kept getting lost in the hole or in the water or I have no idea where. Most of the arcade games didn't even work. I have loved going to this water park and the attractions but I felt very unwelcome last time by the workers inside the castle. Arleth one of the workers was very very rude! All we did was ask for water cups and she misunderstood us and got water bottles which was fine but after we told her she made a mistake, she proceeded to tell us that she can't do a refund and walked away. She had very bad manners. I am very upset because I had invested money into the season pass to go have fun over there but every time I go I feel unwelcome by the workers at the attractions and inside the castle. Inside the water park all of the lifeguards have great personality's and so do the concession stands. read more

Came on a Saturday night for mini-golf with three other people. It was busy but having three courses to choose from helped with the wait. I loved the one miniature golf course we played on - one of the best I've ever played. It was adventurous, fun, challenging and a beautiful night for it all. My only complaint and suggestion would be a few golf club sizes (instead of two) and more colored balls. I saw three total colors. I did not check out anything else but the arcade room looked fun. read more

Don't get me wrong, the place is fun! However, the pool areas need major maintenance. The lazy river could use a new tile job around the perimeter, new paint and the surrounding areas need serious cleaning. Things were unkept and very cluttered. For example, there were things such as construction equipment stored underneath one of the slides entrance way. This was clearly visible to customers trying to get on the rides. You could tell that it's been there for a while because it started rusting. O The wave pool smelled like urine and sewer. And most of the pool areas smelled peculiar. Dirty pool water and horrible service. Strands of hair kept getting wrapped around my arms and all the pools had debris like no one had cleaned them in months. I ordered pizza for my two teenagers and me, but received a personal sized pizza instead. They messed up my drink order three times. After the third, she laughed about it in front of me. Not to mention it took them more than a half hour to start my order because I was forgotten and they couldn't remember what I ordered. After a total of 45 minutes, we left and ate somewhere else.
