I went to buy a driver I was in between the qi-4D ls and the Mizuno jpx 1 and the triple diamond max quantum. I was met by Andrew I think his name was, about 5"10 heavy set guy. Short brown hair. I was waiting to hit the drivers for about 10 minutes. When I was able to get into the bay to hit them, I asked to be able to see more metrics, I was told no he wouldn't be able too. I went a few weeks back to get a new wood and I was a helped by Mitch. He was very kind and knowledgeable he pulled up. My spin rate decent angle ball speed and club speed of course total and carry. But Andrew said he isn't allowed to do that. When every other time I went I was able to see more metrics. I was very put off by Andrew thought this process. Once I was hitting the mizuno he said this driver isn't good and I wouldn't like it. (Out of everything I hit I was most pleased with the mizuno) if you are going to look at clubs here make sure you don't get Andrew. read more

The employee presence here is absolutely horrible. They follow you around every single time you come in the store. They're constantly eyeballing you and giving you looks and talking to you like you're stealing their constantly unfriendly as can be. I don't recommend doing any shopping here at this golf galaxy it's just a terrible experience every time I go in. About a year ago, I was in there buying grips and I had put the grips at the front checkout center while I went to get balls because I had Forgot balls well one of the employees told me that I had shoved all of the grips in my pants, and when I showed him that I had nothing in my pants and they were all up at the top. He immediately started defending himself And saying that's what he thought he saw . This golf galaxy location is an absolute joke and a very, very bad vibe. read more

First I must say I'm a golf idiot. I know basically nothing. My 14 year old son recently has shown interest in starting to play. We bought him a used set of Pings and they needed to be fitted and re-gripped. Made an appointment online for the next afternoon. When we walked in Ryan immediately greeted us. Took us over to the services desk and called another young gentleman. I believe his name was Mitch but I wouldn't bet my next paycheck on that. Both of these men explained what they thought was our best option. They measured him to cut the shafts to a proper length and made sure the grips were the proper size for his growing hands. Neither treated me with disrespect or arrogance about my nonexistent golf knowledge, both were patient and were great with my son. The clubs were ready in less than 24 hours. We had forgotten the driver and putter and when we picked up the irons the next day another gentleman fitted those while we waited. Golf is an expensive sport but I think Golf Galaxy's prices are competitive. The only downsize is they have zero junior golf clothes. This will definitely be the place we go for our golf needs. read more

Bought online went to pick up in store originally ordered from dicks thought it was weird the order was ready for pick up here I called ahead to make sure it was right told them what time I'd be there to pick up my prepaid for item and they didn't have it. The guy I spoke with on the phone was there trying to find it because he saw it earlier. He got the manager which was absolute no help just said the ordered been canceled. Well why? I didn't cancel it I didn't receive a cancelation email no communication. The associate called the GM and he "canceled" the order. Still no explanation why, no communication, and 600 still withdrawn from my bank no refund. No solution to fix the problem for their mistake at all. They wanted me to purchase again even though I received nothing in regards to a refund or cancellation. Probably took the club for themselves on my dime. I am appalled at the manager and general managers lack of help. I ordered online for connivence and ease of mind that it was ready for pick up. Shady business. My boyfriend and I were directed by Dicks at Arrowhead to go into Golf Galaxy to exchange the glove we had warranties on. They had it in stock, Dicks at the time did not. As we walked in we were not once greeted or asked if we needed help with anything, instead we were followed around the store by an employee (older man) like some sort of hooligans. When I commented out loud "I'm not sure why were being stalked or followed" he just stopped and stared. Then we get to the register and are again NOT greeted pleasantly, but with blank stares by the women at the register, not even a hello. It was probably the worst customer service I've experienced ever, especially in a golf shop. As we left she was loudly telling the manager that I commented regarding being awkwardly stalked and stared at. If you're looking for a welcoming place to shop for your golf gear, especially as a women, I do NOT recommend this location. I noticed they were doing some remodeling, perhaps focusing more on customer service relations would be a better use of company money. read more

Been all over the valley looking for irons and to have some sort of a good fitting. Spent a lot of money months ago at a shop and felt pretty rushed. Recently walked into golf galaxy just looking to get set back up into a game improvement iron. Dustin was a huge help and a rad dude to work with. Totally took his time with me. No rushing at all, gave me his honest options and worked with me to get set up right. If anything I'm the most indecisive person to work with and Dustin stayed calm and comfortable throughout the whole process. I didn't feel at all pressured into anything. He just wanted me to get into irons that helped me on the course and made the game more fun. Pretty stoked with the new Dark speeds I have on the way. Thanks again Dustin. read more

Wow! I couldn't disagree more with the reviews I'm reading here. Every single sales person at Golf Galaxy has treated me like a pro, every time I have visited the store. I've had several clubs re-shafted. All were done professionally and on time. If you buy a grip there, they will install it on your club for free. When I'm in the bay area hitting golf balls, knowledgeable employees will stop by and give me helpful advice if I want it (when things are slow and they have a few minutes). Give them a shot! I've been making purchases for years upon years going back to when it was Golf Smith. I do the Lions share of my Christmas shopping at this location. I purchased two TourTrek 360 golf carts thinking they are a Private Brand for Golf Galaxy and Dicks and should be good quality?? Buyer beware they do not have replacement parts for these carts so if something breaks you are screwed. The saleteam tbat sold us the carts could have told us they do not carry replacement parts. They do not have a TourTrek website for a customer to go to in an effort to find a part. DSG customer service will not help. Perhaps the box the cart comes in should indicate "no parts". read more

I have taken 3 golf lessons with Adam and by far the best money spent on my golf game. Just took up golf after retiring this year and took a few lessons elsewhere but Adam's unique teaching style and his command of the Trackman technology was an enormous game changer for me. He gives you way more than your money's worth on every lesson. I set a new personal record after each lesson (although the bar is quite low). The first time we came in the tall guy with long hair was a complete jack ass.i asked why they didn't have a large selection of women's clubs and his reply was "it's a mans sport" umm ok ur an asshole.. And then the manager or other sales associate won't take Dicks/score cards coupons.. but yet the websites states they do along with the staff over at Dick's also if you READ the fine print of the coupons it states you take the coupons. if ur damn name is on the coupons then I would think you can take them...I don't need someone arguing with me about something that is in black and white. We want to come here and shop but not if it's going to be an issue with the sales associates here/management. I'd rather just go to the pga store and dicks for our golf stuff. read more

The Poor Review is more based on the Golf Galaxy customer service center. Order number 10314894063 for a pair of Nike air zoom infinity tour. I ordered them the day they came out and did not receive any confirmation. When I went to research the issue I realized I mixed up two letters in my email. (My Fault). I called CS for GG for an update and to see if they could alter or add an email. Although the person I spoke with was nice they could not give me any status. Saying my order was locked. Not his fault but they also could do nothing about my email. GG should definitely allow you to alter an order before shipping. I was told that it would ship Saturday which I did not believe but told them I would call back if I didn't receive it. I also called Friday to check status which still said Saturday. After Saturday came and went I called back with the new issue that my charge for the shoes fell off my CC statement. Did my order get cancelled? Where my shoes ever going to be shipped? Did they even have any in stock? I could not get an answer. I would like to state everyone I spoke with was very nice. The women during this call logged my info and said I would hear back from an escalation team with in 48 hours. I did not. So I called again this morning. I was spoke with a women who did a great job investigating and found my order had been lost. She came back on the phone after a long while and said they would be shipping me a new pair at no charge and free shipping. I was pleasantly surprised and held why she did what she needed to do for processing. She came back on and stated my shoes were no longer available and asked me which other pair I would be interested in. Which was none so I asked for them to send me a gift card for the amount of the shoes and I would purchase them once they hit stores. This is when the story changed and she said she did not say the shoes would be free, just free shipping. Interesting because I never paid for shipping to begin with. How would that be a value add for me? I asked her if they record calls which they do and had her grab a manager. Over all my last call with GG was 1 hour 13 min which ended with me being hung up on. During the past 10 days and 4 phone calls with GG I have been very pleasant and understanding. (GG just listen to the calls). Do what is right. I already do not purchase clubs from Golf Galaxy because they do not offer a playable guarantee. You buy it its yours. At most other golf stores in Arizona including PGA Tour Superstore down the street they offer one. If I am not satisfied I can have store credit for the full value. I understand this review is for the specific location on Bell Road which offer the past few weeks I have visited. In the end I am hoping the Branch Manager of that location can help fix a terrible buying experience. read more

I love this place... awesome selection of clubs, shafts and grips. Their golf club technicians have completed several modifications from extending shafts, to re-gripping entire sets. They are also very helpful with providing recommendations. I also purchased an AWESOME new golf bag in there for the same price it would have cost online... but I wanted/needed the bag right away so it was nice to get a deal right on the spot. They offer a military discount and that's mostly why I put up with their incompetence and stupid employees. This last time I told the cashier, Seth, that I was military and showed him my ID for the discount. He forgot to enter the discount so I asked him to fix it but he said he couldn't because the sale already went through as completed. I asked for a manager and the "manager" had no clue how to fix it either, he tried to offer me $5 which was no where near what my discount would've been on a $300 plus purchase... I was so confused. I recently decided to get back into golf after a 40 year hiatus. Stopped in here to look at their shoes and clubs. I spent a considerable amount of time checking the store out. I wanted to talk to someone about a particular set of clubs but everyone I started to approach turned and walked away when they saw me. WTF! Forget the clubs then I'll get them somewhere else. Mike was super helpful having me try out a Taylormade, Callaway & Ping woods. He took into account my club speed, accuracy & distance with each manufacturer in the simulator. I was going to buy a brand new Scotty Cameron 2020 and I had a coupon for $50.00 bucks off anything over 250.00 dollars spent and they did not want to honor the coupon and were rude about it. $350 DOWN THE DRAIN!! I was looking to buy a new driver a little less than a year ago, so I asked for some help selecting one I was looking at the Taylormade m1 (brand new) but did not know loft or shaft stiffness got in a booth and was fitted for a stiff shaft 9.5 degree club.. for almost a year was adjusting weights and loft and I could not find the right fit and constantly slicing never finding the center of the fairway.. I felt like Everything I did made it worse but kept golfing and not pulling my driver out of my bag except on dogleg rights.. went over to the PGA superstore today and was told that this wasn't the first time that they had someone come in that was sold something that didn't work for them.. I was fitted correctly today with a regular shaft adjustable loft Callaway I was given free sleeves of golf balls because the gentleman was upset I got screwed at golf Galaxy.. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I could give them 0 stars I would .Ill try to keep the story short. I got my daughter a hydroflask for Christmas. A week later we go into the store to exchange it ( she wanted a bigger one ) The cashier called over a lady who I'm assuming is the supervisor and asked her "if they could do the exchange without a receipt " she told me she needed proof that I bought the hydroflask from them ( even though their label and security tag was still on it ) I looked up their return policy online and told her according to THEIR policy I could get store credit with just showing my ID- she then told a bald man (manager in assuming ) " she looked up the return policy" and explained to him that I wanted store credit. They told me the hydroflask's credit would be $16 I was shocked and asked "are they on sale at the moment for that price " they said "no but that's the price this rang up . Some companies wouldn't give you anything without a receipt" . So although the hydroflask is currently selling for $36.99 which is what I paid ,they only wanted to give me $16. I stormed off and called their customer service number . Spoke to a man named "Eric" who submitted my complaint. I will be waiting to hear back from them this week. As a customer service rep myself I can't believe how they treat their customers not to mentioned these people seemed to not be aware of their own store policies. read more

Dropped off my husband's driver shaft to have G series adapter installed and they told us we had to pick it up the next day because the guy that does them was not there until the next day and it takes the adhesive 8 hours to settle. We come back the next day after 5pm and no one has touched it and "the guy that installs them" is gone for the day. The guy working says " oh but I can just do that really quick for you." If that is the case why did you make us come back? They offered to refund $3 install fee. My husband was golfing the next day so we had to wait another 20 min for the install because my husband was golfing the next day. read more

I came into Golf Galaxy (Peoria) hoping to walk away with a new pair of clubs. An associate named Michael was Johnny on the spot as soon as my girlfriend and I walked in the door. He asked me if I had any questions or needed help finding anything. I told him it'd been 10+ years since I'd bought my own new irons and had no idea what I was doing (besides referencing a few pictures I brought with of my current clubs, because those are all I've known for a while). He acknowledged that they had a wider head and began to explain the difference to me. He showed me two different models of Taylor-made clubs (ironically one was a pair I'd seen at the other Golf Galaxy store in Chandler and had my eyes on if nothing else worked out). He then taped them up so that I couldn't tell which club was which and brought me to the virtual golf range in the back of the store. I hit the first few balls with my swing, and then he spent his own time educating me on the proper technique for the clubs I was hitting. He helped to analyze my swing and then switched me over to a stiffer shaft in accordance with the data collected with the analysis. By the end of the day he not only had me confident in the clubs I was buying, but he also saved me $150+ by taking home the year old model because as he said, I wouldn't notice a $150 difference between the two sets. Boy was he right. You could tell Michael really enjoys his job. In between his education points on each set of clubs he also engaged us in conversation like he'd known us forever. Very pleasant to talk to. 10/10 would recommend going to this golf Galaxy because of the great customer service Michael provides. I'm certain you won't leave disappointed. read more

The promo offers a 15% discount and i waited and waited for my code that never came. Called customer service and the very unhelpful person on the other end ended up hanging up on me. The other day my husband and I thought we'd take a look at the golf clubs. My husband wants to start playing and wanted to buy a nice driver. Well the sales associate who was helping my husband kept turning him away from every decision " oh you don't want that. You won't know until you play. It's not really for you. You can't know since you're new to the sport. You shouldn't buy that. Don't buy this. It's not really for you". Then my husband went up front to ask about shoes. He told them he wears a quadruple wide shoe. The cashier up front looked at my husband and told him " if you wear that size, you have a problem..." and walked away. I couldn't believe how rude these guys were! They weren't helpful at all and just completely rude the whole time we were there!! We will never go back and I hope management reads these comments and teaches their employees some manners and how to treat a costumer even if the employee is having a bad day!! read more
