Visited this store looking for a putter. It appeared to be clean and fully stocked. They had a several staff members around the check-out area having a conversation. Spent most of my time in the putter section and their designated green area, testing out several different putters. As I tried several different brands and models of putters, not one time did their employees come over and asked if I needed any assistance. After 30 minutes, I decided to leave and go to another place where I'll get better customer service. Please try to improve your customer service and not neglect your customers. read more

Very poor customer service, employees didn't want to be bothered. Not what it use to be, they use to be knowledgeable, helpful, take the time to answer questions about products. Also golf galaxy now charges $100 to try a club in the simulator. Definitely wasn't worth my time to drive 40 minutes there. Now I know Dick's and GG are the same company but I left there and went to Dick's later and customer service was 10x better. The golf center customer service took the time to answer questions and not just give one word statements to get rid of me. I told them afterwards how helpful they have been and how bad it was at golf galaxy and they chuckled and said "well that's GG for ya, that's what you get over there." read more

The womens clothing section is about 3 racks. The mens clothing is about half the store and the rest is equipment. The have a good selection of equipment but the staff wasn't very helpful. read more

It's a shame corporate hasn't done anything about this location after years of terrible reviews. The people working in there are just about the EXACT opposite of what you want in customer service (with the exception of maybe 1 or 2 people). If you look younger, as in under 35, man just forget it! They treat you like you aren't worth their time, no matter how nice you are to them. I've actually driven the 40 minutes across the bridge to the next closest GG. You can't even try clubs in there without a charge unless you're purchasing. Just an absolute shame, and a black eye for Dick's Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy. read more

Went in the other day just to get some supplies. Browsed through the iron sets section. Not ONE SINGLE LEFTY IRON SET. Disgraceful.

I ordered a set of custom fitted irons in October, and had the option for them to be shipped directly to me from the manufacturer, or to the store for pickup. The store recommended I have the clubs shipped there, as they typically arrive quicker. Sure, makes sense to me so I agree to ship to the store. I live in Philadelphia and as of this week we are under strict lockdown requirements and cannot travel out of state unless we quarantine for 14 days upon return. Given this news, I thought I would call Golf Galaxy and just have them change the shipping so I'd receive the clubs directly. This was apparently not possible, even after checking for manager approval, and the best solution offered was that somebody else could pick them up, and bring them over to me in Philadelphia, which makes great logical sense given the new travel restrictions. I am sure Mizuno would have been happy to simply change the shipping address, considering they had not even built my clubs at the time of this review. I am disappointed in the way this was handled and would rather just do business directly with the manufacturer in the future. read more

A golf store that charges $100 to try to figure out what product you want to buy isn't a golf store. Totally baffled, and they tried to justify it by saying, you could use the $100 towards purchase, however, their parent store Dicks, does not charge. When asked the difference, they said "it's because of trackman simulators." What a joke! Never shopping there again. read more

Went to get fitted for a new driver. Staff was totally unhelpful, didn't offer any guidance just handed me 2 clubs and said i can hit balls in the simulator. I ended up fitting myself for a used one and the guy didn't even attempt to sell me on any models that may have been more my fit. Will be going elsewhere. read more

Went to my local GG during the mid afternoon during the week. I was basically the only customer in the store and while I was browsing the store not a single employee asked me if I needed any help. I know they weren't busy because they were practicing their putting and hitting balls in the hitting booth. Just seems like their customer service could be a lot better. I had a much better experience at dicks down the road. Employees there were much more interested in helping me out and they had one person working the whole department. read more

I recently got into golf and decided to check out Golf Galaxy thinking they would be helpful selecting quality used drivers at a good price. The guy who was helping me pick out Equipment was extremely unhelpful. he barely asked any questions and handed me two drivers and told me to use the sim. He payed no attention to me after that and refused to be helpful at all. I ended up buying a women's driver by accident that is too short and too soft for me. this could have only happened because the salesman who I asked for fitting help payed no attention to me. I attempted to return the driver after a few weeks and was informed that there is a policy stating that pre owned clubs are subject to a 7 day return policy. I called the store to speak to the GM Jim Weldon. he only reiterated the store policy and told me I could trade in the club I just bought for a massive loss. I was also informed my the GM that it is too much effort to inform customers of used clubs that their is a different return policy the is only clear if you read the fine print. I will never spend money at this store ever again. The employees are careless and don't care about a good customer experience. The GM Jim Weldon is uninterested in helping customers when they call with problems that can't be solved by sales associated who are not empowered. this was one of the worst experiences at a store that I have ever had. This is my favorite shop to frequent as the wife and I are in the area very often. Their non sale prices are a little high, but they have weekly specials and rotate sale categories frequently. Their reward program helps out as well. The selection is really good for all aspects of the game. All of the clubs in my bag have been bought from here. As some of the comments have mentioned, a few of their employees customer service isn't up to par, but I feel that for the most part, they are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to give a good deal. When I was getting back into the game last year, they even took time to offer me some free instruction while there weren't many people in the store. I'll keep on buying here until I leave the area. read more

I come here often to check on the new stuff and often leave with random golf stuff. Sometimes a putter, sometimes some gear. I've been hoping to improve on my driver game and my most recent trip was kind of a bummer. Having to find help to try out equipment and not having anyone to help set the thing up or answer any questions is kinda disappointing. I'll be back again however because I've got to find the right equipment and their selection is incredible. They've got everything except the boutique club brands. read more

Went to golf galaxy this evening in hopes of buying a new wood. As I walked in I, I noticed only 2 other people on the store. Nobody said hello, nobody offered to help me out. Not one single employee walked up to me. I walked around the store for a good 15 minutes before I was fed up. This store and staff are a complete joke. After I let I drove to Goldsmith and was helped instantly. Do not waste your time and money at this place!!!!! read more

Rude lead sales person, erik . Didn't set up the simulator for me nor provide any guidance. I was trying to get some advice and club information but he would rather play on his phone. After this experience I will take my business and referral business to golf Smith. Customer service should be the number one priority and it's obviously not here. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. I took 10 of my irons in to Golf Galaxy to get regripped. I decided on the Winn DriTac grips which were listed for $8.99 each, however, Golf Galaxy online had them listed on sale for $6.99. When I took my clubs and grips to the service desk, the technician rang me up with the grip price of $8.99. I mentioned to him that the grips were listed at $6.99 online and showed him my phone with the price displayed and asked that he ring me up for the sale price. He told me that online prices cannot be used instore without giving a better explanation than that. He then had another technician come over and explain the reason is because the online sale price and instore price would end up being the same due to shipping costs. I told him that can't be correct since shipping was a standard $5.99. They both then shrugged their shoulders and said there was nothing they could do. I asked why they wouldn't price match their own online store price when they are a price-matching business, and they tried to explain that they can't price match an online store, despite it still being a Golf Galaxy online store. After this still didn't make rational sense, I saw that the online price would include FREE curbside pickup and told them that, where they tried telling me that there wouldn't be a fee for curbside pickup, but there would still be a shipping fee. This was also incorrect because the grips were already in the store and the website had them listed as "available immediately for curbside pickup". Both technicians became so flustered and spat out "I guess you could just buy them online then". I am unsure why these technicians didn't want to honor their online sale price, but this was the hands down the worst customer service I have ever received. Instead of trying to help me, they spent 15 minutes giving me a runaround of invalid reasons why they wouldn't honor the sale price. Golf Galaxy needs to do better with their customer service, and take a better look at how their employees are "helping" their customers. read more

These guys are the worst! I just got all my clubs re griped and you would think I was asking them to dig a ditch. No one asks if you need help or are you looking for anything. I waited at the counter for 15 mins for someone to get off break to take my clubs. I hate this store and will never go back. I spend waaaayyy to much money on golf to be treat like some Jerk-$$f. Not to mention they had my swing speed 19 mph low when I was asking about a driver. I had it tested 3 other places the same day just to be sure. What a joke! Golf Smith is 4 miles down the road. I had an infuriating experience with the store manager Erik. He lied to my face, not once, or twice, but 3 times. I was looking to purchase a putting mat, and I saw on sale for $80. It was taped shut, poorly, so I assumed it was a returned item. At the register, I asked Erik for permission to open the box to make sure all the pieces were there. He said that it arrived like that from the shipping company (which I now assume is a lie), and that all the parts were there. Considering I drove from 40 minutes away, I asked if I could open the box anyway to be sure, and he said, "you can if you like." I did so, and there was indeed one of targets missing (confirmed lie #1). He said it fell out of the box and it was in the back, he just didn't know where it was from. I asked if he could give me a deal considering the shape of the box and that he nearly cost me 80 minutes drive time roundtrip. He said he'd give me 10% off. When the item rang up, it came out to $100, and he gave me 10% off that. I asked about the sale price, and he said it was for a shorter mat (lie #2). After I paid, I went to the back of the store, found the sale sign and brought it back, clearly showing the $80 sale price, but Erik was counting a register in the back and made me wait 10 minutes. He said that the price on the sale sign was wrong, then after he took the sign away from me said that was for sale that ended in June pointing to non-existent expiration date on the sale sign (lie #3). He then made me a deal, refunded what he overcharged me, then gave me the 10% off I was promised in the first place. This is unacceptable. I will never shop here again. Go to GolfSmith, Dicks, anywhere but golf galaxy. I heard an associate ask this Erik guy to do a putter fitting, and I wouldn't trust this guy to put condiments on a hot dog, let alone with my putter or any club. How can I expect this guy to be honest with my clubs? "This club is fitted perfectly to you. No the balance isn't off, it should be just right..." And if he's the manager, it's safe to assume that's the level of integrity and customer service that is with all the employees. read more

Went to golf galaxy to buy new grips. Needed 13 new grips for the new season. Their website has the golf pride standard size mcc align for $10.99 but the store charges you $12.99. Asked a employee if they price match their own website and he said no. He told me the store price is what it is. Very unprofessional. Lost my business and will never shop there again. read more

I bought grips from Golf Galaxy. I am an avid golfer and work in the business, I have put on grips before and know what I am doing. I bought the Lamkin White Cross grips on a friends irons and was very unhappy with the result. Some grips held the shaft but some felt loose on the shaft. From my knowledge it seemed as though the grips that did not hold the iron were faded in color and had seemed worn. Called the store to ask if I could bring them in and show them but immediately they said I put the grip on wrong. I have done grips multiple times and know it was done correct. They did not work with me at all and told me it was an user error on my part. I work in the golf business and it was an overall insult to not hear out the customer problem. All in all, I was sold used grips and know for a fact they were blown off a club and resold. Never plan on going back. read more
