Absolutely the best place I'll be going here to get my keys cut till the end of my days

Well, this review should be a single star, but the technician's quick thinking solved my problem in under a minute. Great job, man. It was frustrating trying to set the service appointment up. Online form submission = ignored. Phone call one, nobody returned the call. The second call did the trick. Their "safe expert" was supposed to reach out later in the week. Never did, so I've moved on. read more

Needed duplicate keys for a very old door lock that we needed to keep on the door for many reasons. Had a copy of the original key, original being lost years ago, and all duplicates previously made didn't work. Went to Goldilocks and 5 minutes later walked out with 2 keys at a great price that worked perfectly. The 2 gentlemen that helped us were quick and professional. Definitely recommend. read more

RIP-OFF ARTISTS - scratched door and installed poor quality locks.

I've used Goldy locks over the years when I moved to the South suburbs many years ago. They are timely and do quality work. Let's just say, they know their stuff. The young man who put new locks in my unit was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend this company for locksmith assistance. read more

Choosing Goldy Locks was a great decision. I locked myself out of the house on my way to work. I called needing a tech ASAP, initially no one was available. I called another company and they couldn't give me a definite response to get there within 10 minutes. Whelp, I had a missed call from Goldy Locks, I returned the call and they promised that someone was in the area that could be there soon. Chris was my superhero for today! I appreciate his professionalism and knowledge. He had the job completed in under 10 minutes! Great response and professionalism is key to doing business nowadays--I'm so glad I called Goldy Locks. read more

Good prices. Very good service. I have mostly used Goldy Locks for business On commercial locks and doors Good quality work. Also have been very good about being out when they say they will be out. read more

Unreliable and rude. They kept pushing my appointment and refused to give an eta because "it's not safe to call when someone is driving."

It's hard to find good, dependable contractors and service in this day and age. But Goldy Locks Locksmiths does not disappoint! They are on time, reasonably priced, and very good at what they do. read more

Ron at Goldy Locks was a lifesaver. My only key to my 2009 Jeep was malfunctioning and I was in a panic. Ron's friendly, efficient service turned a potentially disasterous day around. I was 100% satisfied! read more

I had a problem with a Defender door lock. Defender door wanted to sell me a new 2000 dollar door, so I called Goldy locks who had to order the lock and Chris stopped by and replaced the lock for the door and only took about 20 minutes. I'll definitely refer them to others. read more

We searched on the internet for a company to come out and make keys for our service door and discovered Goldy Locks. The rep contacted us right away after we sent an email and a tech was sent out the same day. They were both very kind and professional. Chris is the tech that assisted us and he was awesome. Very happy and will share with everyone that I know to patronize Goldy Locks because there is nothing like great service read more

Awesome lock and key company. I have had several keys made for my home and business. The quality of the keys are superior to your Home Depot's or Lowes and I have never had to come back and have a key redone which is a normality for me when I have keys made at Home Depot's. Plus, the staff at Goldy Locks are pleasant and funny, but most of all, good at what they do. read more

Panic set in as I have visited numerous locksmiths and was told that they can't do my LOCK set Ok so it's for a 1949 Mercury .lol yes that's old . When I walked in Dolores greated me with a hummmmmnot so sure look . But let me try . And to my glorious surprise she accomplished the job. She is the lock God !. Dolores is great and has made my hubby and I verry happy . And a GREAT PRICE TO BOOT ! read more

My grandmother had goldy locks out to rekey locks on her newly bought home. The installer did not recommend new locks. He charged her 200 dollars to rekey five 20+ year old locks. Few days later she tried to access the home. In which the cylinder fell out of lock when she stuck her key in and turned. When she called to get the problem solved, she was brushed off and had not received a call back.. when I called I was told they could not come back for at least a day to fix it. So my 87 year old grandmother had to have her home unlocked for 24 hours until they could get out their to fix their mistake. In which was the installers fault for not properly putting the lock back together after rekeying the cylinder.. instead I went out bought her new locks for a fraction of the cost to rekey and I installed them myself read more

Drove all the way out here from Aurora to get a key made (the Naperville location was less than helpful and couldn't make my key). After a 90 minute round trip I now have a working key! I would HIGHLY recommend going there and seeing Dolores. She was absolutely awesome! So knowledgeable...I think she said she's been doing this for something like 18 years! She was so nice and friendly too! (I wound up getting there about 5 minutes before they closed on a Friday and she didn't make a stick or rush me out...she made sure I was set before I walked out the door.) I wasn't in the best mood after the whole situation and having to drive out to this location during the beginning of rush hour on a Friday, but she turned the experience around and made it a positive one. She even recommended a good restaurant nearby so I could grab dinner before driving back home. read more

I would not do business with Goldy Locks Tinley Park again. Technician showed up HOURS late from time estimate. His reason was that there was an elderly person locked out of their house and that took precedence over my appointment. Okay, but did he even call to tell me he would be late? NO! And he was rude as hell about it, like I had no reason to be at all upset, or call to check on where he was and if he was showing up. No, I will not do business with Goldy Locks again, and no, I will not recommed them to anyone. Unless they are old and locked out of their house. read more

Very Helpful, Used your services in the past. All the Techs that have been out are always friendly, helpful, and respectful. I recommend to anyone that needs locksmith service! read more

Had a wonderful experience at Goldylocks. The young man was very helpful, and when he could not find the exact match for the key I had, he made one he believed was similar and refused to charge me for it. But guess what? It worked like a charm! read more

When a faulty latch on a patio door locked me out of my house I realized my house keys, car keys and phone were in my house. I called Goldy Locks in Tinley Park, when told they would dispatch a tech in about 1-1/2hrs I was willing to wait because I know they do quality work. In less time then promised Carl G. pulled up to my driveway with a smile and his tool bag. It took less than 5 minutes to get the lock open and his friendly mannerism helped to recover my sense of humor with the situation. Not the first time I've used their services and I'll never consider another company. read more

I had 2 key fobs replaced and new keys cut that were lost. Rob cut and programmed both keys in about 15 minutes and I was on my way. They also charged me 1/3 of what the dealership quoted me. If you are in the South burbs, Rob works out of the Tinley Park and Frankfort locations, and I would highly recommend him and Goldy Locks for fast and professional service. read more

I had an odd request to have a locksmith check the integrity of my front door as a request from the prospective buyers of the property. Doug got in contact with me right away after I sent in the request on the website. He was able to assist me the very next day. I could have been a potentially easy target to up-charge but he was very honest with me and I felt very comfortable working with him. I'll definitely work with this company again if I have a need come up for similar services. read more

Whatever you have done, keep in mind that you're dealing with seasoned veterans in the locksmith business. These people do a fast, fantastic job. Showed up on time, didn't skip a beat. Mike F. replaced/repaired/re-keyed 5 locks and cut new keys in less than an hour. Pricey? A little...but you get what you pay for. Great job that I don't have to worry about. read more

I needed lock work for my house and after searching for the service. I came across with Goldy Locks. I called the store, spoke with Mike. Compare to the Locksmith Oak Forest I called before he was very friendly, professional and informative. The next day, the service technician, Chris came. He explained the procedure, and even fixed the issue we had with his generosity. Also he suggested better solution to my situation. It was very quick, professional and great service. You can tell he's with a lot of experience. I found that this company is here to give a great service to the customer without any hidden cost. I really recommend Goldy Locks!!! read more

Carl Grau was amazing. He did the job quickly, was clean and was extremely nice. He wouldn't call the job finished unless it was perfect. Couldn't be happier with his work! Paul from the Tinley store was incredibly helpful. We went in to the store to find a new set for our front door. When they didn't have the color finish we wanted, he called around to a lot of warehouses to try and find it for us. In the end, he was able to recommend the best price and options available. He was a huge help and very nice. We will definitely call Goldy Locks in Tinley if we ever need help again! Thank you so much! read more

The following occurred today at approximately 4:30 PM on 75th St. eastbound at the Rt. 53 traffic light in unincorporated Naperville: The light was red, two lanes of rush hour traffic stopped or creeping...one of your vehicles apparently doesn't know what a red light is and very nearly rear ended my vehicle. I gave the driver a well deserved glare-nothing more- in my rear view mirror whereupon the driver began honking, flashing the headlights and making obscene gestures. When traffic creeped forward a bit more, your driver nearly rear ended my vehicle again before pulling into the left turn lane to proceed north on Rt. 53...your employee felt it was a decent thing to stop next to my car, roll down the passenger window, honk, scream obscenities and make more obscene gestures at me...at this point I did cheerfully return the gestures and also wrote down the info from the van and reported the incident to 911...your company can review what vehicle was where and determine who was driving, I see no reason to assist in that effort. If I had not had an appt. I would have followed your company's vehicle and met the police wherever the vehicle ended up. Rush hour, red light...these are not difficult concepts to grasp. Perhaps your employee needs to become a better driver especially while in a company vehicle; your employee's rage over traffic and almost causing two accidents due to their apparent unbalanced mental state begs psychiatric help. The police did take a report for road rage, aggressive driving and negligent driving...I have no control over whether they will pursue the incident. Rest assured I will never even consider using your company and if (most likely when) this happens again I'll make another report to the authorities...if ever one of your vehicles driven by one of your employees so much as taps or scratches my vehicle I'll sue the employee and your business into oblivion. Having said all this, I have no desire to be contacted by anyone from your business until and unless we meet in court at a future date. read more

Two of the techs from Goldy Locks came out to our store in Lincoln Park today to fix a door that NO locksmith (commercial or independent) would touch for the past 9 months. Everyone that we contacted refused to do the job or wanted an absurd amount of money. These guys were super nice, super efficient and great to work with. . .and we now have two working doors to our store. I would definitely recommend them and will definitely use them in the future for both our store and my home. read more

Another positive experience with Goldy Locks, Tinley Park. Purpose of service call: realign dead bolt on front door. Technician arrived within 15 minutes after confirming location (confirmed an earlier time than scheduled). He repaired the front door lock and checked all of the doors in the house. Efficient and completed service call within 30 minutes. read more

TWICE I've called Goldy Locks to ask if they could laser cut a key for a Porsche. TWICE I was told that they could. TWICE I drove all the way there to be told TWICE that there was no one there to do it ! In this case TWO strikes and you're OUT !!!! Terrible customer service. Gave one star because you can't give no stars ! read more

Lost keys and couldn't get into a house. The guy showed up on time but took an hour and a half to get into the house. After finally using a power drill, and a hammer we got inside the back door. Ruined two locks and increased the costs from lack of knowledge. And then another half hour to install a new lockset. I could have done it myself in a half hour tops. Figured these "professionals" would know more than me. I figured wrong! Stay away! Stay away ! read more

I used the Tinley Park location. They are competent and knowledgable with a sense of humor. Special ordered the lever door handles for 3 entry doors on our house. They received them in a few days, came out and keyed them to match the existing deadbolt key and installed them for us. Perfect! read more
