Changed locks at my house after a bad renovation. Appreciate the service as they came out promptly. It was a good value As he charged us a nominal fee. A second visit was done as he didn't have the tumbler to do my front door. He ran out of time to change all the tumblers. I wasn't sure if he was going to charge me for coming back out but he did. I went it to get a key made, I was informed I could not use a card for anything under $30. I told him I'd be right back I ran to Walgreens to get some cash and when i came back there was a sign on the door stating they wouldn't be back until 12pm. It was only 9:55! After reading the positive reviews, I thought I'd call this guy to replace my deadbolt. I read that they've been there since the 70's...but apparently also STUCK in the 70's, because he suggested I take a photo of the lock and run it by the shop as it may be something he'd have to order. Well, can't I email the pic? No, he doesn't have e-mail...........Can I text it? No, he only has a land line phone. And they've been there since the 70's? well it's nearly 2020, and they don't have cellphones or email? They don't have me as a customer either. I called Goldy Locks instead. read more

This place has been in business since the early 1970's. I've never needed a locksmith before today. Im doing some work to my house and have a 120 year old front door that is 2 inches thick. None of the big box stores even knew of a lockset that would fit it. John at Certified not only knew what I was talking about, but was able to explain everything in detail and order all my parts for quick delivery.
