Level up

I just want to give an updated review because Goldfish Swim School continues to impress me every single week. The growth, confidence, and excitement my son walks in with is everything. He's only 3 and already swimming on his own--those skills don't come from luck, they come from amazing instructors who truly care. The staff is always welcoming, patient, and consistent. They take their time, celebrate every small win, and keep the kids motivated with fun, safe, and engaging lessons. The environment is clean, organized, and full of positive energy. As a parent, seeing my child look forward to class and walk out smiling is priceless. Goldfish has truly become part of our routine and part of my son's journey. The confidence he has built in such a short time speaks volumes. If you're thinking about enrolling your child, don't even hesitate--this is the place where skills grow, progress shows, and little swimmers truly shine. We love Goldfish!

Amazing!!!!! I love this place and my son does too! (Which is the important part). We have been to…read moreother places that offer swimming classes for toddler but nothing comes close to the actual learning they do at SwimLabs. We are a few months into the classes and my son has learn more in those couple of months, he learn to float , dive in , and is currently learning how to swim under and over. The area is clean, the coaches and staff are friendly. The pool is warm. They offer you towels. If you are anywhere close to a paranoid parent as I was, SwimLabs can help you put that paranoia at ease, you can observe your child either on a television screen or by the area where they are actually swimming just behind the glass. This helped my son get comfortable, allowing him to see that I was not too far from him and that he could trust his coach, now he goes inside on his own and I sit back and watch him from the television instead (so he can concentrate) :-) SwimLabs Westchester is the place to go if you want your child to REALLY learn how to swim .

My experience working with the SafeSplash Swim School has been OUTSTANDING and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND…read morethem to anyone considering learning how to swim. My personal background in swimming includes years of swimming competitions and life guarding when I was a teenager and I am thoroughly impressed with the effectiveness of the SafeSplash Swim School pedagogy, the hands-on approach used to train new swimmers, and the affordability. My daughter was scared to jump into the pool on her own, even with an instructor waiting to catch her, when she was five years old and first starting a thirty minute once-a-week group lesson. After consistently attending those classes, she is now seven years old and able to swim twenty five meter lengths back-and-forth, alternating between freestyle and backstroke, and continues to attend classes as she moves up through the pedagogical levels. The Yonkers/Riverdale facility SafeSplash Swim School uses to train swimmers is a GEM and the instructors are all friendly and dedicated to bringing out the very best of abilities in swimmers looking to learn

We have been sending our son for swim lessons at Swim Tank since he turned 1 (he is now 3 years…read moreold). We absolutely love the facility, the staff and the progress our son has made these past 2 years in the water. We are so pleased with his confidence - he swims without a bubble or inflatable assistance for most of the class. He knows how to safely get in and out of the water/pool, which for us is just as important (if not, even more so) as the swimming itself. He is so happy to go to swim class - the 30 minutes just flies by. Even during these difficult times with COVID still very much a concern (we have an infant as well and are particularly mindful of our exposure outside our bubble) we feel comfortable with all of the precautions taken by the facility to ensure the safety of the students and staff. Pros: - staff is attentive - ownership is responsive - facility is clean and the learning environment is comfortable (the water is warm and the temperature in the pool area is balmy - I've heard of other facilities with less comfortable settings) - weekend and evening slots available (though priority goes to children all ready enrolled in the program) when we enrolled two years ago we had to take a weekday spot as it was all that was available given we were new to the program. - communication is clear as are the instructions for enrollment and attendance - makeup offerings and notice to cancel are more than fair (I've read other reviews for Swim Tank of parents complaining about the make up policy. Just know that the policies that are in-place allow for the program to run smoothly as possible and designed to be fair to the business operator and client/customer) - enrollment/coordination for sibling swim lessons is taken into consideration (though I don't have first hand experience as I've not yet gone through this process myself) - class size is small - pre-COVID the infant classes were 4max (to 1 teacher) and parent participation was required though in the years we've been at Swim Tank there have only been a few classes with 4 children in attendance - more often than not it was 3 (now with COVID only private lessons are available) - Swim Tank has a unique teaching style and first and foremost is safety first - which above all is the most important skill. Cons: - particularly now with COVID spots for weekends are limited (as of the date of this review only private and semi private lessons (maybe?) are being offered) - while I fully believe the costs are very fair for the level of service being provided, the tuition may be cost prohibitive for some I strongly recommend Swim Tank if you want your child to learn the important skill of knowing how to swim in a safe environment that fosters confidence in the water. PS. My brother-in-law was enrolled in another program. His son was 4 at the time. It was cheaper and the classes were a little larger. There was an incident that made him question the safety of the program, additionally the instructor sometimes allowed the children to sit on noodles during the entire lesson (not really learning a swimming skill?!?). We recommended they transfer to Swim Tank and they finally did and haven't looked back!

Fairly mature business. Know swimming lessons and teaching the mechanics well... but they switch…read moreteachers weekly and it's so inconsistent for the younger kids. It's constant and annoying they constantly switch. Imagine your kids grade school teacher changing weekly. Same effect The other criticism is that a few of the teachers of younger kids don't know how to handle younger children or positive reinforcement so has a negative affect on teaching them.
