My 3yr old kid has been attending since he was 6 months old. Now he feels so comfortable in the water, not afraid of it, and he can swim like 3 feet now. We love the pool, the tents, all the spaces. Parker continues to get stronger and stronger in kicks, breaths and strokes. All of his instructors are amazing. They always give an informational comment at the end of his lesson. Such as his kicks are getting stronger or we are working on frog kicks. It's not just he did great but specific information. The school is clean and the pool is spotless. It's rip off. I pay for 30 minutes and they start 5 minutes late and end 5 minutes early everytime. Also, my kid shares a lane with 4 other kids. I counted and he literally had less than 5 minutes of time in the water. Everytime my kid leaves, he says he likes it but wishes it would last longer. They also won't cancel the monthly subscription over the phone, so I have to show up and wait in line to cancel. read more

Wish we started younger! My daugher started at 5 years old and was placed in the beginner class. When she began, she wouldn't even put her face in the water. The instructors were patient and fun and she quickly became more confident in the water. We have seen so much growth in her! She is now 7 and is in the top level, pro 2 (we missed a lot of lessons too and received makeup tokens that can be redeemed). The only reason I took off a star is because I think the groups are too large and when they are learning harder skills I feel like they need more individual time. When there are 5 students in a group, it limits the time that each student is actually swimming and practicing the skills. Since we have seen noticeable growth, we will continue her lessons but do hope that they open additional pro 2 classes to decrease class sizes...or extend it to an hour class. read more

My kids just started. My 6 year old jumped right in. Loved every minute of it. My 3 year old cried most of the time but the staff handled him so well and I was very impressed with how each staff member who tried to calm him down were so caring and pleasant with him. We look forward to swim lessons and hopefully our 3 year old will learn to enjoy it, which I'm sure he will! read more

Today was my 8 year old's first lesson and my 4 year old's 3rd class and they both get to move up next week!!! 10 out of 10 HIGHLY recommend Goldfish Swim School in Wake Forest. I was so surprised at how much my kids learn in just 30 minutes My 9 year old is a very anxious child and the whole first lesson, she had the biggest smile on her face!! We love Goldfish Swim School.. our grandson has been taking swim lessons for over 2 years and is quite proficient in the water. I am giving this review after our trial lesson. When we first arrived, the parking lot seemed busy. Upon entering the swim school, I was impressed by its spaciousness and fun, happy colors. There was a lot of noise and people. I was third in line to check-in and as I waited, I observed many children engaged in lessons and parents and siblings watching from the chairs. This wasn't our first visit to a swim school in the area, in fact, we spent almost a year at a competitor. So in my mind, I was constantly making comparisons. Check-in seemed hectic but once we made it to the front, it was a pretty simple process. I appreciated the technology of scanning a card to check-in and being directed to your lane by the computer. Someone comes out to energetically announce that class will begin and the children (and parents of the smaller ones) are herded in. They discuss water safety as the kids are going inside the pool area, which is much appreciated. The class ratio here can go up to 4:1. While we were used to this scenario from our time with parks and rec, I would have expected the 2:1 ratio that some competitors offer for the same price. I made sure to pay close attention to how much time the kids spent in the water during the session and I was pleased. The teacher taught a skill, and each child was given the opportunity to practice with guidance. The kids did not seem so bored so they did not engage in unsafe behavior. I also appreciated the life guards around the pool during lessons as these are extra sets of eyes. At the end of class, the parents are all called into the pool area and the instructor gives real-time feedback on things to work on. I was skeptical, mainly because of the ratio, but my son said he loved it. He was excited after class and couldn't wait to go back, so we signed him up. Most kids showered after class (suits on) and I appreciated the number of private stalls to get dressed in. I also observed at least 3 private family restrooms on site as well. The kids get a weekly prize and I saw ribbons that may be awarded as well. This seems like a fun place for kids to learn to swim. I should also note that the noise level receded once our class started so maybe the time that we entered was a busy time. Once we signed up, we were given a cool goody bag (that could hold wet suits) and a T-shirt, which I thought was a nice touch. I did not rate 5 stars because I really wish the ratios were a little smaller. read more

We attended a birthday party here last weekend and I was so impressed! The facility is clean and very nice. There are loads of private dressing rooms, several bathrooms, showers to rinse off, hairdryers and swim suit spinners. The staff is very kind, enthusiastic and helpful. They had 1-2 lifeguards in the pool plus a seated lifeguard. The kids had a lot of fun and I definitely would consider this venue for parties and for lessons. read more

My two children have attended their weekly sessions since the 2nd week they were opened (I forgot their first session). The facilities are great! The instructors are awesome and very attentive to the child's needs and abilities. I think my son has gained more ability in the short time we've been attending this school than he did at two entire periods (several weeks each) at a different place. Good set up, especially for COVID. My son really likes his teacher. She gives him a lot of encouragement. My only concern is that there are four per 30 minute class so they don't actually spend much time in the water. Maybe 6 minutes each after they get settled and then time to go. I think my son will need more one - on- one but if your kid is good with this type of instruction, then it's a great place. read more

Goldfish swim school has the best facility amenities, with fun colors and private stalls for changing, they have showers and hairdryers as well. The instructors follow a program for age-appropriate children on the skill levels they need to learn so it is structured and once your child has mastered that level they move up with fun ribbons and awards - reinforcing the hard work each child puts into their learning skills. They have an open swim for members for free several times a week and you can also have a birthday party for your kid(s) with membership at the school. If anyone is considering swim with safety skills taught, Goldfish of Wake Forest is by far the best place to go for your money!! If you don't believe me, go and see for yourself.
