They regularly assess the students to provide feedback and move them up to different levels when they're ready. It's great to see all the new things she learns and can do as she moves up in levels and see her confidence grow. She was able to swim the length of a pool on her own by the time she was 4 and continues to grow as a strong swimmer thanks to the teachers here. The teachers are all friendly and helpful. The pool is big and warm and the facilityare clean. The weekly swim lessons are a great way to help our child get regular exercise and develop as a swimmer.

She fairly scared of getting her head under water, hated getting her head wet, and was brand new to this at first. In just a couple weeks, Rachel gave her the skills and confidence to thrive and accept new challenges. I was continually impressed by Rachel's calm, kind, supportive approach with each kiddo I saw her with - she was always comforting and understanding - yet challenging because she knew each kiddo's limits and abilities. I am so grateful for PhD Swim - every coach seems so encouraging and knowledgeable about both swimming and kids. We have enrolled in the next stage at PhD Swim and I couldn't be more thrilled. I know my daughter can survive if in a dangerous water situation, which was what was most important to me, but I also know she learned a ton in such a supportive environment along the way. I'd also like to add that PhD Swim is has been very impressive regarding covid protocols. Every adult - both parents and teachers - remain fully masked every second they are in the room, and kiddos are generally masked unless they are in the pool. The small classes and low number of kiddos/families in there at any time is very reassuring. Honestly, I initially balked at the price and time commitment - hey, it took 2-3x as long to travel there and back than the lesson itself, and the survival class was 3x a week!! - but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. She doesn't know the baby songs even after teaching the class for 2 months at this point. There really has not been any progression in his classes over these last 6 months its the same exact thing every week and not even trying to intentionally build on his skills. I filled out a withdrawal form online and it would not go through so i completed one in office giving them 30 days notice ..my account got charged for the next month and I've been trying to get in contact with the office to get a refund and nobody is getting back to me. Not a happy mom at all.

I filed a complaint with the USA Swimming Safe Sport and with the U.S. Center for SafeSport. However, neither of these organizations can take action against the rough coaches and the school because it is a private institution and falls outside the jurisdiction of any organization that could halt their dangerous practices. They will continue to lie on their website by stating "Safety first" while simultaneously forcing your screaming child underwater. They scared my 4-year-old. She screamed and was actively resisting, but the coach just took her and threw her into the water. I could see she was suffocating for a moment because he just forced her under water while she screamed. So lovely for a first lesson ever. How do I convince her now that swimming is fun? Coach Lucas doesn't know what he is doing at all. Disappoinment. I regret I brought my kid there.

Once she got in the water she felt nervous and one of the deck supervisors got in the pool along with her teacher so allow her to have some one on one time. You would think this was only because it was her first lesson but no, it happened again recently where she was having a hard time and again another couch jumped right in and gave her the extra attention she needed. All the coach's are super sweet, kind, and very patient!!! We have loved all the ones we have had! The teachers we have had so far are Lillian, (she teachers my daughters private lessons) Ruthie and Ashlyn and my 4 year old loves them all!! It's rare to find an environment that feels welcoming all the time but aqua tots does it each time! They are great at making the kids feel special and safe.

We've had a ton of wonderful coaches over the years Molly, Madison, Quinton, Shelby, Jay, and now we have coach Leila. My son loves coach Leila and she really tries her best to teach him as much as a four year old in a pool actually listens. My son has truly started to learn how to swim thanks to Aqua Tots. I do have a ton of makeup classes, so I wish there was a better system in place there. My son is not the adaptable type and needs to know what time he's going and who is coach is well ahead of time. They don't allow reservations, but since they did not have any classes scheduled the weekend I inquired about, they assured they would have adequate supplies and they did! When we arrived to rent the equipment, the employees greeted us right away. They patiently answered our questions and helped us select the right items since it was our first time renting. They clearly explained the cost and tried to save us money rather than talking us into spending more. In addition to rental equipment they sell scuba gear, hold classes, and host events and trips. They have a heated pool on-site and offer private and semi-private classes. Their training agency is SSI (Scuba Schools International). Overall, we had a great experience here and would rent from here again!

I was never able to get open water certification because of the pressure on my ears but Mike Welch was incredibly patient and others in the shop had numerous suggestions for me to try. Ultimately I gave up after numerous attempts and got a full refund of the entire tuition even though I had completed the lessons, used their equipment to try and get the outdoor signoff completed, and taken a lot of their time. I would highly recommend the shop if you are wanting to try getting certified and you don't have to worry about losing the large sum of money if you don't make it. Never in our 3 consistent years of premier membership have we been disrespected so much by an orange theory or gym at all as we just were at this orange theory off 12646 Capital Blvd Unit 152 Wake Forest, NC 27587 United States On May 10th, 2023 at 9:30am and some time before there was tremendous construction taking place on the intersection to turn into the complex which caused us to arrive 4 minutes past the class start time. When she was walking in, a girl named Alissa walked outside as she was going to open the door and told her that "it just turned 5 past and we can't let you in". I was completely lost for words thinking to myself why Alissa felt she needed to be such a prick. I understand Orange theory has a 5 minute policy for late arrivals, but are you kidding me?!? Yelp, this is a real review. We drove 30 miles to this orange theory. This was very disrespectful. I find it hard to believe the employees were unaware of the construction. I believe that this was intentional disrespect. Had my fiancée been one of this girls little friends from high school, I am sure that they would have been okay with it. Alissa, you're wack!
