We had a paddy melt with fries, and roast beef gravy, mashed taters and a dinner salad. It was all amazing! The salad was very fresh the meat just the right texture and the gravy so flavorful. It is so hard to find a paddy melt made right! But this one was! Just the right amount of grilled onions Swiss cheese, on marbled rye and a perfect burger. The fries were hot fresh and cooked to a golden brown giving them just a little crunch. Nothing was greasy!Our waitress Kaylee was a beautiful young lady who was personable and refreshing. Nice and clean diner with friendly staff. Service was fast too. My husband ordered finger steaks with fries with salad and fried dough. I'm vegetarian so I ordered salad and grilled cheese. Best food I've had in a while. Not to much to look at in the outside but yummy food inside. We asked the waitress her best dishes and we ordered them and was so pleasantly surprised. Open faced roasted beef sandwich, nice tender slices of roast beef (not sandwich meat) and the steak fingers were great and the crispy steak fries were great. Hamburgers were just as good. read more

Stopped here yesterday on our way back from a long driving tour day and it was a great little place! The server was absolutely the best very sweet and attentive. Their soup was the bomb on a cold day. We shared a meal they are large portions and it was very filling. No they don't require masks or any other bs because there is no mandate in this state. Stopped at this small restaurant because it had 4.5 stars. We were first disappointed and shocked that the booth benches had no support like they were Brocken and we were sitting on springs. It was brighter and cheerier and therefore cleaner looking and feeling than Pickles Place where I visited a couple weeks ago with teenaged children. Service tonight was a 5. It was slow though. I was told the clam chowder was homemade so I tried a bowl. It was more like a vegetable cream soup with a little clam. I've eaten clam chowder in New England and homemade clam chowder in Idaho made by me or my neighbor from Maryland lol, so maybe I shouldn't have bothered... difficult to compare to after that lol. I give it a 3 cuz it did taste like fresh celery in the soup. I got a bowl for $3.25. The main decision-maker for the soup was I am pretty broke and needed something filling for cheap and it was served with a smile and speed so I can't complain! I poured the leftover ice water in my own cup to go and got back on the road quickly. I felt compelled to give $1 tip even though my budget/ funds are low. But it's a sit down restaurant and the service was good and waitresses aren't getting rich off the legal $3.50/ hour plus tips (or at least minimum wage per hour if it doesn't equal or exceed that amount), or whatever the current legal waitress rate is now in southern Idaho.
