This is some good chinese food. I really love their beef & broccoli. My boyfriend enjoys their shrimp & Brocolli. Today I ordered some fried dumplings, they were really good too. I previously had their general tso chicken and it was delicious! Tonight we ordered in but I love eating inside their restaurant when I can. They offer tea which I just love. It's always very quick service whether you order for delivery or eat in. I would recommend this place and will continue ordering from here. read more

Golden Way has been on the the boulevard in business going back with me since 1989 !!!! It's close to home & always had decent Chinese food and they had the old charm of a sit down Chinese resturant that we all know are disappearing!!! Party of three last night @ 5:pm walk in & greeted with a friendly face.... To my surprise the restaurant had a very nice remodel !! The wife knew all about it lol !!! Our server came wright over dropped off a bowl of those wide noodles n a bowl of their duck sauce along with a hot pot of tea and away we go .... Our soups egg drop mixed with wonton hit the spot delicious n served hot !!! We ordered the combo dinners which come with soup, fried egg roll & fried rice; the wife n kid went with the sesame chicken all white meat & I went with my standard sliced roast pork all three of our dishes were delish !!!! Also ordered Lo Mein with shrimp which was very tasty !! Nice size portions ( we took food home ) very fair prices along with that old school Chinese restaurant charm n service but in a nicely remodeled dining room !!!! I love this place. It serves authentic hunan food. Order something from the hunan menu if you want to try something delicious and different from your normal chinese place. Also the chinese food staples are there and are delicious as well. I also enjoyed the thai food when I got it in the past. I would recommend the stir fried string beans or the red braised pork. My family and I have been ordering from this place since I was a kid (about 20 years!) but for the past year it has been hit or miss sadly. I feel like the food is always better when you sit down to eat as opposed to take out because all my take out orders have something or other wrong as far as food quality goes. Ordered Chicken w. String beans & white rice for myself the other night and the strings beans were half cooked and seemed like they were frozen not fresh (they were super cold and soggy). White rice also seemed waterlogged, if I that makes any sense, and mushy. I do love their in house made crunchy fried noodles but as of late that's about it. So I am currently very sick and I have a bad cold and flu and I give Golden Way a chance like hey let me see how this Chinese restaurant is. I spend $50 in total and guess what? I see hair on my soup!!!! This is a health violation and I already contacted the health department for further assistance. I found couple of hairs on my soup and I decided to throw it out because who can actually eat it? I went order for pick up and my food was just in the front and no customer service I saw the employees just talking without helping. Warning if you want to get Chinese food Yummy Yummy is next to it. We came here as a recommendation from a neighbor. When you first pull up to the restaurant it doesn't seem very welcoming. We went inside because we were told the place was good. The restaurant as a whole can use a makeover. It's just a little dated. We sat right away and was served water, tea and crunchy noodles with duck sauce. I ordered the Spareribs combo with pork fried rice, egg roll, and a wonton soup. It was delicious! The food came out hot and tasted fresh. My son ordered steamed dumplings, which he loved and my husband ordered the Chicken and Broccoli combo also with pork fried rice, egg roll, and a wonton egg drop soup mix which was also very delicious. It was his first time trying egg drop soup and he's a fan. We will definitely be returning again! read more

Trying to put holiday eating behaviors behind me I chose an appetizer called Pla Muok Tod AKA: Fried Calamari, a Chinese food first for me but upon inspection the omni present Thai and or Chinese brown sauce gave all indication of a dual ethnic approach to the menu. As I slinked around the office, plucking off a few plates (yes, with a fork) I sampled the Sweet and Sour Chicken, Roast Pork Ends and an Egg Roll all of who's typical taste and texture lent itself to my continual Chinese food theory. There is only one Chinese food kitchen in all on NYC connected to a giant under- ground vacuum tube that sucks the order to the address that has placed the request. A fair amount of orders with brown rice never made it to home base. Perhaps I will have to sit down and dine in to receive the proper treatment---and food. read more

Their unassuming subtle storefront located in between the busier areas of Ozone Park and Howard Beach make it sometimes easy to drive past,.. but after eating there once again, I have to say they are one of best tasting chinese food spots around,.. and one of the best priced! I especially like their Chicken & Broccoli Chow Fun (Broad Noodles) with Spicy Sauce. Their lunch specials get you a lot of food for the buck, including a full pint of wonton soup. I was not impressed at all. The pad Thai has was dry, the mango sticky rice was dry and not sticky at all! The plain fried rice did not taste fresh. The few times I've been here I've been legitimately the only costumer eating in the dark. The table clothes are stained and filthy & I've actually received some dirty silverware. The last and final time I was ever there I encountered a worker folding her laundry in the booth next to mine. I would never actually order anything here as far as food aside from chicken and rice soup which is actually pretty good.. But anywhere can make decent soup .
