I am so excited and honored to say that the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to was my own- and that is because of Golden Thistle Design. These ladies know their stuff! You may find it odd that I did not go to them with a "Pinterest board" or any idea in my mind of what I wanted. When Hannah asked for my board, I said, "your instagram is my Pinterest." I have seen so much beauty (from their flowers, but also personalities and customer service) that I knew they were the best~ and there was no way that anything coming from their shop would be lackluster. And they continued to amaze me. I gave them my colors, told them specific flowers I knew I liked, some I didn't , And then I gave them the freedom to create. Seriously, I told them, "do whatever you think is best," and they blew me away! (You may find this a bit silly to just say: do whatever you want, but I run two businesses, perform on the side, and somehow have a life in between- I did not have the time, nor the training, to design my own flowers, and I knew anything they did would be far superior to my mason jars XD~ which is why I hired The Best). Hannah and Erin were always on time to any meeting, professional (yet friendly, and totally willing to help me decide), and just plain exceptional (okay, I know that is an oxymoron... but they are just that awesome). They kept me in the loop every step of the way (when flowers were ordered, when certain items came in from shipment, what time they planned on being at the venue, etc.). And because they already had great report with my location vendor, I didn't have to lift a finger~ they knew just what to do. I can honestly say picking the florist and anything that had to do with decorating the wedding was the least stressful (as in not stressful at all) part of wedding planning and execution. Erin even came upstairs and pinned flowers in my hair before the ceremony. (I also had them attend the wedding, because they are awesome party-goers- Erin fixed my hair halfway through, and then Hannah left a little surprise in the Bridal suite before the wedding was over). Every detail of the wedding was so thoughtful, down to the rose petals on the floor. They got the essence of my fairy princess dreams and executed them into reality. They made my small budget look like a billion dollars, and even threw in a few special touches that I didn't know to ask for. I HIGHLY recommend the ladies at Golden Thistle~ they made everything so easy for me, and so beautiful (several of my guests told me this was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to... my lil ol' mountain wedding... it just made me feel like a princess). Okay, now i'm crying by the end of this review.... but I just feel so honored by them. My wedding day was the best day ever, and it was 99% because of them. (And, you know... Hannah and The Golden Thistle team are INCREDIBLE! We planned a destination wedding in Boone, North Carolina and met with Hannah shortly after booking a venue. I knew I wanted bold, winter colors and had some pictures saved, but was still unsure of the final vision for our day. Hannah was so knowledgeable of in season berries, greenery and flowers and was more than willing to stick within our budget. She listened and truly designed a floral vision that took my breath away! In the months leading up to our wedding, she checked in with me as well as with our wedding coordinator and was always available for communication. On the day of our wedding, Hannah and her team arrived early and worked with our venue to set up our day. She delivered our flowers in BEAUTIFUL packaging that made for gorgeous photographs (currently being framed to decorate the vanity space in our bathroom). When I saw our ceremony and reception space for the first time, I couldn't help but cry. Everyone commented on what a gorgeous day it was and how beautiful the flowers were. My mom kept my bouquet for a little over a week and sent home centerpiece flowers with my mother-in-law and aunts. I cannot say enough positive things about working with Golden Thistle. Hannah was so responsive and took the time to ask great questions to get an idea of my vision. When I saw the flowers and greenery in person, it blew my expectations away. She took my vision and ran with it and the flowers were more spectacular than I could have dreamed. She incorporated the other items for our tables (votives, candlesticks, mixture of types of vases) so beautifully with the flowers, it all looked so stunning. I cannot tell you how many compliments I received after our wedding of "your flowers were so beautiful!". She is extremely knowledgeable in different types of flowers available and how to design them to create stunning arrangements. In addition, she was highly professional and super easy to work with, often easing the stress that can sometimes come with wedding planning. She was able to take our vision and make it a reality while respecting our budget, and kept us informed throughout the entire process. You know you've found the BEST florist when you see your topsy-turvy dreams come to life in the most magical ways. Hannah helped tease out the best and greatest of my personal ideas and blend them together in a cohesive whole that absolutely stunned myself and the guests. We couldn't stop talking about the flowers! We had two different kinds of centerpieces with a variance of flowers and water vases with floating candles, boutonnieres, fancy wrist corsages, a verdant photo shoot backdrop, flower girl crowns and tossing petals, two large arrangements, and the bouquets. The weather did not agree with our outdoor garden reception plans, but Hannah and Erin entirely transformed our rather dowdy Church fellowship hall into a flowery bower of delight! read more

Hannah, the owner and lead designer was amazing with her communication with me and making our vision become a reality for our wedding! I only spoke to her a few times in the beginning and sent a few pictures and she ran with my ideas! Working with Hannah was absolutely delightful! I had previously seen Hannah's work from other weddings and knew I wanted her to be our designer. She was very accommodating towards my vision and budget and remained in contact with me throughout the entire process.
