They have always been responsive, dependable, and talented in making some of the most beautiful arrangements that I have ever seen. These qualities were important to me since I lived in the Washington DC and Seattle, WA areas over the years and I needed a florist that I could trust. Their prices are very reasonable and they deliver great value for the money whether the occasion is a funeral, birthday, holiday, or any other flower-worthy event.

A terrible transaction. A friend's brother passed away so I immediately called this local florist…read moreto send flowers the next day. A week passed and I hadn't heard from my friend so I called her and asked if she had received the flowers. She hadn't received them so I called the House of Flowers and was told that they didn't deliver the flowers because the item we purchased "wasn't in bloom". They never called me to let me know the order hadn't been filled according to my wishes. They didn't let me, the customer, decide if I wanted to wait or cancel the order or make another selection. Now, a week later, I had to call them to find out what happened. If I hadn't called, I have no idea when or if they would have delivered my gift. They never apologized. In the future I'll go to Boone or Elizabethton if I want to send someone flowers.

I couldn't find any other business open who sold "simple" and John at Grayson Florist And Gifts certainly doesn't typically do "simple" the way I was thinking. John was terrifically gracious with my request and what he created (with a smile) on such short notice was above and beyond to say the least. I am now the favorite grandson (i'm ignoring that I happen to be the only grandson) and for that, I thank you, John. Seriously - his care and effort brightened the days of many.

At a loss for any kind of meaningful gift without personal access to N95 masks and other PPEs, I decided to restock her art supplies. Maybe this old love would give a little light. I combed online options to avoid stores and post office. Then I thought to support a local business in my daughter's chosen community. Art Mart & Academy is just minutes from her home. The store was not officially open, but the owner responded to my email. John talked with me at length about what I was looking for, texted me photos and was very helpful in matching the types and quality of products I'd selected online. Though he had no gift bags, he managed to find a sweet way to package all the items then texted me a photo to see if "the presentation" was ok. He also kept the required social distance from my son-in-law during pick-up. He kept a sense of humor, too. Art is a good thing to do in COVID-times. John will help you start or get better. Art Mart and Academy has customer service and the goods!
