Carol at Park Place is excellent. The quality of the flowers and the arrangements brings me back time and time again.

This is one of my favorite places to visit when I'm in the High Country…read more It make look simple from the outside. An adorable litte cottage on the side of the road, one might mistake it for an adorable country home. Step inside and you quickly realize you're not too far off. What I love about this store is how beautifully simple everything is. Every product available in the store has that amazing feeling of something that is both heart-warming and beautiful at the same time. Whether it be the hand-made notecards or a decorative wall hanging, everything just screams "home." Every time I stop by, I find something to add cheer to my tiny room (last time, it was a framed print with a pressed Queen Anne's Lace flower and a little quote). The jewelry makes perfect gifts for that special friend or family member. The prices really range. Considering a lot of the products are handmade and high quality, I find the items really reasonable. You can get great items for under $5 or you can end up spending over $50. The best part is that there is something amazing in every range. My mom and I have made it a point to stop here at least once a year. The staff is UNBELIEVABLY amazing and will make your time in the store truly an experience. Oh and if you're in downtown Blowing Rock, make sure to visit the sister store (same owners, with similar merchandise), across the street from the Blowing Rock Library! Note: The store is closed on Sundays for some much deserved rest and relaxation, so make sure to stop by Monday thru Saturday!

When we invest in a floral arrangement whether as a gift for another, to decorate for company or just to beautify and freshen the house, we want something extra special, designed with love. I don't know about you but a formal arrangement that actually brings tears to your eyes is the rarest of rare. So many florists deliver commonplace arrangements that leave you wondering why you spent all that money. Well let me tell you, that was not my experience at Village Florist. Most recently I wanted the perfect bouquet for my mother's birthday and Julie, at Village Florist spent time with me so she would completely understand what I wanted. She patiently listened, asked questions and made recommendations. She delivered the most exquisite arrangement I have ever seen. When the arrangement was delivered to my mother she cried in awe and declared the same sentiment... it was the most beautiful arrangement she had ever seen!!! Julie is an amazing artist with extraordinary attention to detail. She created a masterpiece!!! From the bottom of my heart... if you see this review Julie, I can't thank you enough for your touch of genius and all the heart you put into the arrangement and all your arrangements!!!

This place truly lacks customer service. They lack it so much they don't even know how to spell…read morecustomer service. I went with my parents to buy 4 rocking chairs and two small end tables. My mom asked if they had a military discount, my dad is in the Air Force. The lady literally said "I've sold furniture all day and no one has asked for a discount." First, we were buying them regardless, and a lot of people give a military discount and there is no harm in asking especially Memorial Day weekend. The lady was so rude. She found someone else who said we could have 5% off but we had to pay check or cash, if we paid credit card we had to pay full price?! What?! That isn't a military discount that is a CASH discount when you have to pay cash or check?! So we finally bought them. $2,220.93. This was not a cheap purchase. They promised to deliver and then said it was $60 to deliver less than 3 miles. So we decided to make several trips to pick them up, since we could make the trip to and from I less than 5 mins. We got back and our 4 chairs which we paid dearly for, are sitting I the PARKING LOT! We picked them up and on our last trip we in to tell them we got them, had our receipt if we needed it, and they older lady "we don't care." So yeah, I would not even buy a dang plant from this place. It's my mission to make sure they never treat anyone like this again, especially someone who fought for their freedom. Good luck to them, and I hope they know how lucky they are to live in freedom every day!
