I was a little overwhelmed because I was still having an out of body experience even being a bride. That is where Daisy comes in. She IMMEDIATELY helped me clock exactly what I wanted in the simplest terms: she said "face and waist". Mind you, I'm a type C type of bride-- so I'm the type to like EVERYTHING I try on lol. But, I loved her first pick for me, she gave me everything I wanted and more. Even my best friend wanted to try on gowns with me that is how good Daisy is at her job. Honestly, I cannot recommend this place enough-- they will work with your budget and shop with your wallet in mind. Also, with this place being in DTLA, there is parking in the back, so you do not have to try to find street parking. TL;DR: if you are shopping for your dress and want someone to read your mind or even translate your dress dreams into reality, go to Daisy. She knew everything I wanted and THEN some. She even had me trying things out of my comfort zone that I loved. 10/10 would recommend.

I had heard wonderful things about LuvBridal and was genuinely excited to purchase my future wedding dress from them. Unfortunately, there was a significant miscommunication regarding my dress. My receipt did not indicate a dress size, nor did it state that the dress would be an off-the-rack purchase. My understanding was that the dress was going to be ordered, especially because my measurements were taken during my appointment. What was even more disappointing was the lack of proactive communication. I was told that the store manager would contact me within a specific timeframe, but I never received that follow-up. Because of my work schedule and because I wanted to understand what was happening sooner rather than later, I asked for a response to be emailed or texted for a sooner response due to work availability. LuvBridal does have text communication. Throughout the process, I consistently felt like I was the one trying to get answers and figure out what the next steps would be. It is very unfortunate to feel that there was not a proactive plan in place to communicate with me about such an important purchase, especially with my wedding approaching. I also found it upsetting to be asked whether I had gained weight between the time I tried on the dress and when I learned that the incorrect dress/size was being attempted to be provided to me. That was a particularly disappointing part of an already stressful situation. My biggest advice to future brides who visit LuvBridal is: be extremely specific about what you are purchasing and make sure ALL notes and details match on both ends. If there are notes, agreements, measurements, sizing information, or details about whether the dress is being ordered or purchased off the rack, make sure those details are clearly written on your copy of the receipt/order paperwork as well. Their notes were never provided on my end. In the note section, it was left completely blank, and no size was provided. I truly wish this experience had gone differently. I was so excited to find my wedding dress and had heard such wonderful things about LuvBridal. Unfortunately, the communication and handling of this situation left me feeling extremely disappointed during what should have been one of the most exciting parts of wedding planning.

He was very informative and relaxed. I also really appreciated how he clipped the long dresses so I could really envious what it would look like short. I not only found my dress, I cried in it! It was more than I could imagine and was perfect. I felt like I was in such a safe space to let myself feel all the emotions going through me. This store really has incredible designs for any bride. I highly recommend coming here for your wedding dress!

I visited Royal Accessories with my family looking for bridal accessories. When we arrived, there…read morewere two employees helping customers, one Asian woman and one Latina woman. Since the Asian employee was busy, the Latina employee initially helped us. However, when two other customers walked in, the Latina employee stopped assisting us and focused on them instead. We were left waiting without anyone acknowledging us or checking if we needed help. It felt like the other customers were receiving much better service. I had already tried on a couple of hair pieces and didn't want to remove them myself because I was afraid of damaging them, so I waited for someone to assist me. Once the Asian employee finished with her customer, I asked for help. She was kind, patient, and helped me choose a hair piece. I had also planned to purchase earrings, but after the experience, I decided not to. I ended up purchasing only the hair piece. While the quality was nice, I personally found the items to be overpriced. A funny part of the experience was that the customers the Latina employee left us for didn't end up buying anything, despite her providing them with much better customer service than she provided us. I don't know why our experience was so different, but it honestly made me wonder if she had judged us based on appearances because we weren't given the same level of attention or courtesy. If you're shopping with a budget under $100, this may not be the right place for you, and it could save you time to shop elsewhere. Unfortunately, the lack of acknowledgment and inconsistent customer service left a bad impression. Because of that, I don't plan on returning.

Instead of being welcomed, the front desk staff laughed, and one of them asked, "What are you doing here?" I replied, "I have an appointment," and they all laughed again. Looking back, I should have walked out then, but I decided to give them a chance. I was told I had to wait because no one was available to help me, even though there were four staff members standing at the front. I was told to look through the racks for dresses while I waited. Since it was my first time shopping for a wedding dress, I didn't know the process. Later, I noticed signs everywhere saying not to walk through the aisles, so my mom and I stood to the side and waited. After about 20 minutes, someone finally came to help us. She immediately asked which dresses I wanted to try on. I explained that I had no idea because this was my first bridal appointment and I was hoping for some guidance. She seemed visibly annoyed. She pulled a few dresses, and one of them was absolutely beautiful--I genuinely loved it. However, the overall attitude made me uncomfortable. At one point, she told me the dress was around $5,000 and then asked, "Can you afford it?" I replied, "Yes, I can." After that, I noticed other staff members gathering around and suddenly walking by to compliment how beautiful the dress looked on me. It felt very insincere. Even though I loved the dress, I decided not to purchase it. Buying a wedding dress is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I didn't feel confident moving forward with a boutique where I felt unwelcome and judged. I politely ended my appointment and left. As I was walking out, I heard one of the employees say, "I told you they weren't going to buy it." That confirmed I had made the right decision. Thankfully, I found my dream dress at a wonderful bridal boutique in Costa Mesa, where I was treated with kindness, respect, and genuine excitement. The difference in customer service was night and day. Every bride deserves to feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

We went to about 5 different dress shops and the last few were in LA . We had went to the Bridal Expo in Costa Mesa CA and my daughter won $500 off a dress at Lucky Brides. We decided to check it out. Now originally we had an appt for the Westminster location which never opened so the day we went to LA my daughter called the shop and they happened to be opened and said we could go in. We get there and it was such a cute spot. My daughter was set on a mermaid style dress and that didn't really seem to be working for her so one of the dress employees ( can't remember their names but no longer work there) suggested my daughter to try on different dresses. My daughter did an fell in love with a sweetheart dress. The cost was $2500.00 minus the $500. My daughter had tried on this gorgeous veil as they put the whole dress together to give the vision. Oh the dress had 1 pocket which I thought was strange but super cool too. So my daughter said "I love it and YES to this dress!" When I went to pay a $1000.00 deposit ( I paid the remaining amount month later) they said the veil was not included and asked the owner Angel ( called her on the phone) she said she would through it in. I thought WOW so sweet. No mind you alterations were included. Now I am gonna sum this up cause this is alot and I don't want to bore you all. So the dress was in production and after speaking to Angel on the phone she had said that fitting would be a month prior to the wedding. She did say if my daughter lost alot of weight ( which she did) that another measurement appt would be needed sooner. My daughter called/text Angel and informed her of this and she said to just come the month before. So during this 1 month before my daughter was scammed on her hall and we were frantically looking for another which we found but you can imagine the stress this had put on my daughter. So we go to her fitting beginning of Sept. My daughter put the dress on and i noticed something was different. The dress was not a sweetheart but a tube ste top part of the dress. I said to Angel "This isn't her dress!" Angel said that is was and I said "No it isn't " so I showed her the pics. My daughter ended up liking this style better so it worked out but the fact that it was wrong annoyed me. Moving on..Angel said my daughter lost alot of weight and that she should have came in sooner and that they will do their best to have it ready in a week , well it wasn't ready in a week it was now 2 weeks before her wedding when we went back. My daughter's dress had 3 silver hooks for the bussel and I asked why and Angel's reposnse was that it was too heavy and the hooks needed to be stronger. My daughter also said "Mom it has 2 pockets now." I asked Angel if they added pockets and she said " It always had 2 pockets!" I was like "UMM NO IT DIDN'T " At this point we just took the dress because like hello my daughter has been through so much and now to have to wait again for it to be fixed and Angel saying " Alterations are free " Like Angel no they aren't I paid for it in the dress cost. So we ended up taking the dress to seamstress who was able to put white hooks on and the seamstress noticed there was nothing to hook the bussel to as there were no hooks/thread so she also had to add that. My daughter's dress was beautiful but it was unfair what we went through. Angel was obviously very nice BUT I feel it was for show because you kinda need to be when you had screwed up the dress along the way. Anyway my daughter was absolutely gorgeous. I attached photos of the first dress the sweetheart and then the one she said was the original. I am not posting the end result as they credit is not due to Lucky Brides.

My stylist was Alexa and she was amazing! Unfortunately, some of the dresses I wanted to try on wasn't available at the store, but Alexa pulled some similar styles. She was very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. The appointment lasted one hour. Remember to ask your stylist to measure you! I was going to get measured, but decided to retry on a dress and totally forgot. The dresses are very good quality at an affordable price! I am so glad there is a showroom and feel much better about ordering my dress online now!

We decided to walk in early to see if they had any open slots. Walking in, we were instantly greeted with cool air and a welcoming atmosphere. I met Mary at the counter, explained my situation, and asked if there was any chance I could get in early. She kindly walked me over to the plus-size section, so I could browse while she checked their schedule for the day. 10 minutes later, Mary came back with the best news: she could fit me in! Hallelujah! From that moment on, Mary was a total lifesaver. I showed her a gown on a mannequin that wasn't available in plus-size yet, and she immediately pulled an amazing ballgown alternative that I loved just as much. Mary was the first stylist who truly knew how to properly clip and fit me into a sample dress that wasn't my exact size. Honey, let me tell you--she laced me into that corset dress, and for the first time, I could actually envision how I'd look on my wedding day. She laughed with us, joked around, and her coworkers completely put me at ease after my previous bad experience. While that first corset dress was a frontrunner, the last dress I tried on stole my heart. I couldn't picture myself in anything else. And just like that...I found MY DRESS! The ring is absolutely breathtaking--every detail is beautifully crafted, and it is even more stunning than I could have imagined. I'll never shop at another jeweler again! To say that I had an amazing experience with Golden String would be a gross understatement. My fiancé purchased my ring with GS in 2022. Unfortunately, I lost my ring and I was absolutely heartbroken. While it was insured, it was an uphill battle working with the insurance agency. However, Natalie walked me through every step. She assisted me throughout every single step and gave me the knowledge and confidence I needed whilst going back and forth with the insurance agency. Not only that, she was able to recreate my ring for me! She still had all of our documents and ring specifications and even gave me an INCREDIBLY fair rate for an upgraded carat size. She is truly an angel. A lot of jewelers out there will scam you in order to get the highest amount of revenue and Golden String is that needle in a haystack. My girlfriend and I are planning our engagement in a couple of months. I promised her that for the new year I would take her ring shopping to wherever she wanted. She found Golden String on Instagram and we decided to give their physical location a visit. After driving for more then 45 minutes, and seeing that they are open during the week, which my girlfriend confirmed by looking online at their hours, we arrived and no one was there. The shop wasn't open and no one was present to help. We saw other vendors in the area but Golden String was the one she wanted to shop at originally. It's very unprofessional and inconvenient to not update your hours online or find a way to at least communicate with clients, in which people can see if the store is open or closed. Especially in my case since I'm not native to LA. Maybe this was a sign to not buy or shop for rings from them, and even if it wasn't, I'd definitely not want people who don't take their job or business seriously making my girlfriends ring. read more

The band kept losing its shape any time I wore it. It began driving me insane because I needed to come in and get it fixed almost every 4-8 months (depending on how frequently I was wearing it). I started to get anxiety everytime I wore my engagement ring because I was so afraid of it losing shape. I began to wear it less and less and stuck to my wedding band (which is white gold--lesson learned) only. I was also too afraid to go to any other jeweler near where I lived to get the ring fixed because I truly only trusted Bridal Ring's team. Finally, I was done feeling afraid and decided to switch the band entirely. I explained to Zoe, an associate at Bridal Ring & explained the situation. We discussed the different options and ultimately we determined I wanted to switch my band to the lowest maintenance metal I could without losing the integrity and design I initially had. Zoe and the team were so kind. They came up with an idea to switch the band to a yellow gold band & solder my platinum prongs with my diamond onto it. Eli knew exactly what I meant when I asked for a beautifully symmetric diamonds and not crushed ice. We vibed right away. He has great taste and knows what a beautiful diamond looks like from an ugly one. Because let me tell you, there are a lot of ugly diamonds out there and there are many brokers who will try to convince you that they're pretty! I remember having to diddle daddle for HOURS on end as a child (before everyone and their babies had cell phones and iPads) because my mom and/or whoever we had came with were looking at new stuff. Recently came here to have my mother's ring fixed which had a smaller accent diamond missing after an accidental drop. Auntie Rita had some diamonds pre-picked in advance before I had arrived and tried to pick the best one to fit and replace. She personally brought me downstairs to her jewelry craftsman's shop to have the diamond replaced. Process overall was super easy. Sadly she's downsized compared to how big it was before.

Sam Kee Hong (SKH) was a recommendation from a good friend of mine when I began looking for engagement rings. Rita the person I worked with over the course of a couple months to find the perfect stone at the price range that worked with my budget. And I spent at least 8 months looking in total, but started with some of the big box retailers such as Robbins Brothers, Jareds, and Kays. Eventually I added online retailers into my search to increase my chances of finding the perfect diamond. Online retails such as Blue Nile, White Flash, James Allen, and Brian Gavin. Having spent half a year looking through all these avenues and collecting my results and research, I realized a few things: 1. The Markup at big box stores is ridiculously high 2. Online retailers are cheaper, but the quality isn't exactly there unless you're willing to pay somewhat of a premium for something from Brian Gavin 3. Not all diamond specs are rated equally Even though big box and online retailers say their diamonds are D color, I have found that there are varying degrees of D color. Meaning, there is a high quality D, average quality D, and a low quality D rating. So online or at a big box retailer, you could ask for a D color stone, and compare it to an E color stone to find that the E may actually look more colorless. Color and Sparkle (fire and scintillation) were my top two priorities. Online and Stores will tell you that they can find you the best sparking diamonds. But honestly, the videos online have a lot of artificial lighting, while retail stores say they will find your he best sparkling diamond, but the representatives don't really understand how to find a diamond that sparkles the most. Also many big box retailers will only bring in 2-3 loose stones at a time for you to see which means you have to make multiple trips a month to the store just to see tens to hundreds of stones. After searching for 6 months with no luck, I eventually spoke to a friend who recommended Rita at SKH. After explaining to her my criteria, Rita went straight to work. Since my criteria was so specific, it took her a month and a half to consolidate 5 loose stones for me and out of those, I was able to find the perfect one. Rita then helped me with selecting the perfect material and style of the setting for the stone. Rita ensured everything turned out perfectly. The fiancé loves the ring and she gets compliments all the time on it. All I can say is that I'm very grateful for having been recommended to SKH. I also highly recommend working with Rita as she has a lot of experience in the business and will find you the best stone that fits your requirements.

After a few months of grueling online research and self-learning, and after seeing a few dozen stones from James Allen, Blue Nile and from local shops here on 47th street, I kept having this nagging feeling that something was missing from the big picture. Even though everything I saw was gorgeous and dazzling, I was somehow dissatisfied. Then I suddenly realized that diamonds are really not that special, they're quite common in fact and because prices are so artificially inflated although the inventory is huge, I decided to switch my strategy altogether and opt for a natural sapphire instead. Finding the right jeweler in NY can be a daunting task so once again I fell back to the internet and ultimately found Jupiter Gem in LA of all places. There was another online competitor local to NY, but I couldn't find anything I really liked on their website at the time and since I was looking for a very specific "padparadscha" sapphire, the options were slim. From the first moment I contacted Jupiter Gem, I was amazed at their professional attitude and courtesy, and at how promptly they responded to all my questions and concerns whether by email or phone. Their inventory was quite impressive and I was a bit skeptical at spending a large sum of money over the internet without even seeing the actual product, but Elvira (their PR/CEO) was extremely helpful and patient. Not only did she send me lots of pictures and custom-made videos of the stones that I wanted to see (most of them within a few hours notice) but she also helped me narrow down my choices of stones by labeling and describing each one in particular. It was like having a personal shopping assistant with me at all times. At no point during all this back-and-forth did I feel pressured in making a decision or being steered towards purchasing a more expensive stone. As a matter of fact the top selection of stones she and Krishna, the owner, suggested were within 5k and 17K which is quite a large margin. What I also appreciated was their honesty at disclosing the small imperfections or inclusions that some stones might have. Elvira always pointed out flaws in the stones and let me decide by myself if I still wanted them or not. After I chose the stone, we went through another long process of designing the ring. I provided them with a picture of a model I had in mind and they managed to create an exact replica of it. The ring was done in a few stages, one of them being a CAD model which they showed me in order to make sure that all my specifications were met rigorously. All in all it took about a week for the ring to be ready and it came out absolutely perfect. I could not have been happier. After finally receiving it, I gave it to my wife and I could see that she was completely mesmerized by it. In the first day we already got a few compliments from random people on the street and in a bar. For me the whole experience with Jupiter Gem was absolutely excellent. Highly recommended for an alternative choice to diamonds. They also stand by the quality of their craftsmanship and offer 6 months warranty on their work. A one time ring re-sizing is free.

I used many other jewelers and casting studios in DTLA and there is a reason I have been faithful to these guys for 13 years.
