I had a great experience here at Cocomelody. My appointment was at 10am, which is the earliest. We had to wait until the building was unlocked and the showroom is on the 8th floor. There is metered parking right in front of the building as well. There was only one other appointment happening during mine and we were spread out so it didn't distract from my appointment. My stylist was Alexa and she was amazing! Unfortunately, some of the dresses I wanted to try on wasn't available at the store, but Alexa pulled some similar styles. She was very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. The appointment lasted one hour. Remember to ask your stylist to measure you! I was going to get measured, but decided to retry on a dress and totally forgot. The dresses are very good quality at an affordable price! I am so glad there is a showroom and feel much better about ordering my dress online now! read more

I have nothing nice to say about this company. I ordered a dress and it took a month to come in, the quality was terrible, and it ran really small, even though the website says it runs 'true to size." A size 12 is more like a size 8. The worst part is their return policy. I have to pay to ship it back to Asia, then there is a 20% restocking fee, and another $5 fee for something else. I will never order anything from them again, and I do not recommend them to anyone! read more

I ordered shoes online for my wedding. I went off the sizing based on my measurements and what was recommended on the website. First, the shoes run too big. They were a size and a half larger than my actual size. Second, they were ill-fitting and did not tightened around my ankle the way they should. This company does not allow return or exchanges on shoes, so now I am out of the money I spent and need a new shoe. Additionally, it looks like the pictures of the shoe were taken from another website. The quality was disappointing, even for the price. Beware of buying from here. read more

Clay is the most amazing personal bridal assistant ever! Thank you so much for helping me find MY dress and being so patient. When I went into the store I was between sizes so we ordered a size up. I received my wedding dress last night when I got home from work. I was so excited I brought it into my spare bedroom and went to try it on. It was too small! My weight doesn't fluctuate unless I actually try to lose weight which I haven't gained or lost weight in the last two months. I called my friend over for an urgent meeting. We looked over the dress with scrutiny: 1. I asked for the hard tulle to be taken out, it was written on my order and it's still there. 2. I asked for the eye-lashing to be removed, which most is but, only in some spots. The work is so bad it looks like a 5 year old did it. 3. A button is falling off 4. I asked in the store (I didn't ask clay I asked the lady in the office) about the cup because in the store it was super pointy and she said it was because the dress is old and my dress wont read more

Would not recommend this store to anyone. From what I can tell they used to be fine when they had a store front in Cali, but now they are terrible. -I HAVE HEALTH ISSUES NOW- I never write reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others about my experience with this bridal shop. After trying on dresses here, I developed a **severe toenail fungus** that has cost me over **$500 in treatments** and, worst of all, forced me to **stop nursing my baby** due to the medications I now need to take. As a mother, this is devastating--my baby is under a year old, and I should still be breastfeeding, (WHO recommends 2 years) but instead, I have to pay for formula, medical tests on my liver, and months (possibly a year) of treatment. I know for a fact that this shop was the cause. Their **carpet and rugs**, are clearly not cleaned properly for when they have you remove shoes and walk barefoot. Beyond the health concerns, the overall experience was frustrating. The lady was **late to my appointment**, leaving me and my group waiting outside until she arrived to unlock the doors. Once inside, I was asked to sign a book with my personal information, which made me uncomfortable. During my appointment, I found a dress I liked, but the assistant kept **peeking through the curtain while I was changing**, even though I was in **a thong and bra-less**. If she was checking to see when I was done, fine--but there was no reason to **look inside**. I was so uncomfortable & froze because I didn't want to cause a scene. To top it off, I was **rushed out** before I could finalize a purchase because we "ran out of time"--which was frustrating since we started late because of the staff. As we left, my group mentioned they also found the lady to be **rude and dismissive**, assuming we weren't going to buy a dress. Thankfully, I found a **custom dress online for a lower price** than what this store offered. If you're looking for a wedding dress, I highly recommend checking out LUCKY BRIDES or Q BRIDAL (just a few stories up). I was rather disappointed when visiting cocomelody for the first time. Mind you, this has always been the first wedding dress store I have always wanted to try on dresses for the longest of times before getting engaged. Very reasonable pricing and out of the ordinary designs within budget compared to David's bridal or any boutique store. An email was sent out almost two weeks before my actual scheduled appointment stating they would be undergoing some light fixtures renovation work in their building. So if we were interested in trying on dresses we would have to reschedule for the current week it was emailed out, if not, we would have to wait until renovation works was completed. I checked to see if they would have anything open a month or two in the future but nothing was open. My wedding is only 6 months away and I did not want time to go faster without knowing if my dress would arrive in time or not to do any alterations. I decided to schedule a Friday before my original date. I booked the luxury experience thinking I would get more help from our guest associate, a bottle of champagne or at least WATER... but nothing. The person who helped us was a nice gentleman but what I found to be not presentable was that he wasn't in the proper dress code person would be in when wedding dress shopping. He was literally dressed in as if he was going to the beach or go surfing. If I'm going to book a luxury appointment or at least visit a wedding dress store, at least make the experience feel good as it is only a once in a lifetime experience for most. One of my bridesmaids mentioned that he had really bad odor but honestly I couldn't really smell as I was just overall excited trying on dresses and seeing how they looked on me. Another downside was all the dresses I wanted to try on were either unavailable or they had them in too small of a size. If I'm not wrong, most wedding stores will have at least two size differences to make sure you can envision how it looks on you. This store did not have this and was very disappointed as the two dresses that were available , did not fit on me as it was too small. So it's very hard to try to picture yourself getting married to the dress if the dress isn't loose enough for you to feel comfortable in. Before scheduling the appointment, the online website asks you what style dress are you looking forward to trying on and provide the style number. Which I did. When i got checked in, I thought the gentleman had those details on his computer to be prepared for his client and he didn't. So from there I had to find dresses similar to my liking or the ones I had chose online which shouldn't have been this complicated. After I did find the dress, and purchasing it. The original scheduled date I had planned to go, released a 25% off coupon code to use . I had asked customer support if they could honor it as that is unfair and had to move my scheduled time around so I can get my dress in time. I was told they couldn't but would Honor me in offering a veil that would cover the remaining discount along with saving an additional $200. Cocomelody was the first place I went to on my wedding dress quest. When you walk into the space you'll see an overwhelming amount of options with beautiful views of downtown. I loved how light and bright the showroom is. I loved being able to see how dresses would look in natural sunlight. I was able to go around the showroom and pick out the dresses I wanted to try on and my stylist helped make recommendations based on the online survey I took. I absolutely loved my dress from Cocomelody, it was beautiful and decently priced. Benjamin was my consultant that day and he did the best job making sure I had lots of options for dress styles to try on, and I ended up picking I think the 4th or 5th one I tried on. HOWEVER. This place is not without flaws. DO NOT pay for their alterations package unless you think you'll need a lot of alterations. They persuaded my mom (who paid for my dress) to buy this alterations package that was $300, but we didn't even end up using it, but they made it seem like it would be a mistake not to get it. So that kind of bothered me that we spend an extra $300 that we didn't need to. Another thing. Abigail has a lot of positive reviews here, and maybe I just caught her on an off day. I had mentioned to her when she was measuring me that I was on a weight loss journey and wasn't sure what size to order based on my future weight loss goals. I don't remember exactly what she said, but in so many words, it was basically don't count on losing weight because most brides that want to lose weight don't end up doing it. Then she asked me if I was having weight loss surgery (I'm only about 30 pounds overweight)! All right in front of my mom. I was so embarrassed. If I wasn't absolutely in love with the dress, I would've walked out in that moment. But I told myself I would prove her wrong. I ended up ordering my dress from their website about a month later, and on the day of my wedding was in a dress that was two sizes smaller than when she had initially measured me. Overall, the dresses here are really beautiful, affordable, and I love my dress and my veil I also bought from them, and the service from Benjamin. One of my bridesmaids had a great experience and found her dress here 5 years ago, and I'd heard lots of great things about Cocomelody. I wanted to try a solo dress shopping day, and made a 2pm appointment for the same day. Making an online appointment is a little frustrating because you have to make a profile and login ID just to see available appointments, then you have to enter all that same info AGAIN to confirm the appointment, then you almost immediately get spam emails. I arrived a little early and visited other dress shops. When I walked back to the building, another party was waiting downstairs for a bridal appointment too, but the main door was locked. They had been calling but no one picked up, and there wasn't a sign on the door or any instructions when we RSVPd. Finally, I managed to reach someone who gave me the door code. I waited for a while before I could check in (appointments are only an hour), then signed in with Diana, who asked me what dress styles I liked, then told me that my stylist was finishing up with another client and I could look around while I waited. I spent about 10 minutes browsing, but didn't find much that I liked, and I looked forward to a stylist's opinion. My stylist introduced himself and also asked what kind of dresses I liked. He brought the only long-sleeved fitted dress they had, and another dress, then told me he had to finish up with his client (who was purchasing a dress) and he'd be right with me. I tried on 3 dresses alone, and never saw him again. Diana would come by to show me an open mirror or to clip my dress or take photos, but seemed to rush between several clients (not her fault and she was awesome, they just weren't very organized). Maybe one-hour appointments aren't enough since they seem to run over into other appointments? By then, it was 2:45 and I still didn't have a stylist. The overall selection was a little disappointing, and I couldn't find anything else I wanted to try on. They had mostly full ball gowns (which I didn't want) but not as much of a selection or diversity of styles as I had hoped for. A lot of basic, strapless lace dresses and not too much else. I decided to leave and make the most of the day by visiting other dress shops for variety. Dresses are nice and had a variety of dresses compared to other stores I have visited. Roomy studio so you wont be next to another bride while shopping for your dress. Brides - stop wasting your time and just come to Cocomelody for your dress! I scheduled 3 back-to-back appointments in the same afternoon hoping to find the dress on my first real try. I had previously looked at David's Bridal and tried on a few, but nothing really stood out. When we arrived at cocomelody, it was jam packed with people. There were MANY parties, I suppose Saturday afternoon is a popular time to look for your wedding dress. Thankfully we made an appointment and was attended to after a while. There are a lot of open space, with dresses hung in every corner of the store. I wish there was more privacy but appreciated the ample walking room since I really wanted to try walking in the dress and understand how it flows. Clay was my stylist and gave very constructive opinions. I was slightly hesitant at first since I've never had a male stylist at any of my other dress shopping experiences. However, I was glad we had Clay because he knew exactly how to lead the appointment, giving me hair accessories and the constructive opinions. I felt that he truly cared and wanted to make sure that I find the perfect dress for the big day! I ended up saying yes to the dress here, and for a fraction of what I was anticipating to pay. The price point here is cheaper than other popular shops around DTLA, and it definitely did not sacrifice in quality and style! The dress will be delivered to me in 3 months, which is much shorter lead time than most typical custom-made wedding dress shops. Well, I had my appointment yesterday and I got an email today to give my honest opinion so here I am... While trying to think of what was good about my appointment, all that came to mind was "well, the showroom smelled good and I got free bridesmaid fabric swatches..." but that was about it. First of all, parking is hard. There's a ton of traffic around the area and it's not really in the best part of DTLA so be prepared for that. Walking in, I was greeted by 2 people. One helped me around the showroom but I don't remember her ever even introducing herself to me. She showed me around by saying "these dresses are from 2024, these are from 2023, and these are older" then explained that the dresses are separated by fit. After that, she sort of disappeared. I didn't know if I was supposed to be pulling my own dresses or if she was going to ask what I wanted or what. On the dresses- they look gorgeous online! In person, it seems like they're not maintained that well. It seemed like most dresses I saw had tears or small holes in the lace or tulle or were stained either from dirt or makeup. There was definite wear on some of the dresses to where I thought they probably shouldn't be on the floor anymore. It definitely felt like a budget bridal store in that way. I finally got some dresses in my room but they weren't my size. At other stores, they'll pull things in your size. The girl helping me also said "let me know if you need anything. I'll be out here" so I was left to put these dresses on myself. I needed help zipping a few of them and 2-3 times, I peeked out of the curtain for help and she was on the other side of the showroom talking to her coworker. More on that- all the employees were talking (loudly, across the showroom) about someone who had called earlier that day and was complaining about a bridesmaid's dress being too big. They were poking fun at her for being upset about the dress not fitting and saying it's not a "big deal", especially since it's just a bridesmaid dress. I don't know about the rest of the brides reading this but I want my bridesmaids looking on point too! I've heard of many people flying in to come to the DTLA showroom and I'm just here to say that you should either save your time and money, or if you're set on coming to LA for a dress, visit some other stores in the area. read more

My intention was to try on Alexa again, and he pulled another dress (Emory) that could fit my woodsy ceremony vibe that I also really liked. He gave a lot of suggestions for potential customization and was really thorough in putting on different veil styles on me as well. Plus gave clear notice on when I should be ordering to meet my wedding deadline, etc. Overall experience was yet again wonderful and no pressure to purchase. I debated writing this review, as I dislike writing poor reviews of a business, especially nowadays, when it's very important to support local businesses. I want to start by stating I am a simple person, not a flashy bride-zilla who thinks the world should revolve around me, just because I am engaged. I made an appointment on a Monday afternoon, a week before Christmas, not a fairly busy time to look for a wedding dress. I made this appointment a week ahead of time, followed the instructions on the website and added specific dresses to my showroom to allow my stylist to put things aside and gain a familiarity for my budget and my style. I came prepared, bringing shoes similar to what I hope to wear on my big day, and wore proper undergarments because I wanted to be prepared and minimize time prep time for my stylist. My maid of honor and I arrived about 15 minutes early, which thank God we did, because despite earmarking dresses on my account, we were instructed to "look around and select a few styles to try on". Fifteen minutes turned into 25, more hopeful brides walked in the door, and my stylist presented, stating she would be assisting us in addition to another bride. Buying a wedding dress is a significant purchase. Not only is this a financial commitment, but it is also an emotional commitment. I was never asked a budget and was honest to my stylist about finding a dress within my budget, i was told the dresses I saved to my account were not available yet, and brought dresses to try outside of my budget. When I attempted to find dresses in-store still wanting my budget range, I was told the prices on the tags were incorrect and would continue to rise. I felt bamboozled as the whole reason I committed to an appointment was because I liked dresses from their catalog, which I felt fell within my style range and were budget friendly. I get we are in a time of heightened inflation, but I felt this was a bait and switch from the budget friendly $400-$700 styles I viewed online. This aside, if I was motivated to spend $900-$1000 on a dress before alterations, at least be prepared as a company and arm your employees with the customer service tools to motivate brides to want to come back. I felt not only was the company ill prepared by not staffing and over booking appointments, but my stylist was not properly equipped to fit me with dresses correctly. All in all, although Cocomelody has beautiful styles, I do not feel encouraged to come back and make my final purchase with them. read more

You're probably reading my review in the filtered section where they pay to hide the truth. Helpful during your visit then absolutely deceitful afterwards. Beware any reviews *just* happy about their visit to CocoMelody - this phase is the sales pitch and they lie. I can't believe they managed to keep a straight face when they told the woman purchasing her dress before me that returns are hassle free. I was measured for a dress and when I received it, it was too small and the fabric crumples up. The dress I tried on in the store was smooth and sleek. The CocoMelody representative I spoke to about this issue insinuated that I got fat and it is my fault. She obviously can't see that I'm skinny and even if I wasn't that is an abhorrent tactic to divert responsibility. I suggested that I was perhaps measured poorly by the employee, or the dress was not assembled correctly. The CocoMelody representative's rebuttal was that her quality control (the measurements the employee jotted down) shows that those were my measurements... horrendous customer service. This is based on my appointment with Lauren. She was great!! Helpful, funny, sweet and found some pretty great dresses for me! I picked out a few, showed her the style I was going for and even tried on a black dress which I almost cried because I felt like it was the one. I got a veil on and everything, didn't want to take it off but because of my fiancés suit and our wedding in OCTOBER I didn't want it to be too Halloween. Even my mom loved it when she saw pictures (can you believe a mom loving a black wedding dress?!) it was gorgeous. The appointment was so fun! She was a great stylist and I was so glad to be paired with her. Unfortunately I did not say yes on this day but got a couple of references in case I decided to come back. My stars are for Lauren specifically! The showroom itself was a mess. I understand it's a showroom and people come in and out but there were gowns and accessories tossed on the couches and a lot of the dresses were really dirty, some ripped. A couple of the other stylists walking back and forth had attitudes. Maybe they just had difficult clients, idk. when a few dresses were put into a dressing room there was a miscommunication with another stylist and he told Lauren to tell another girl that we were using the room and dresses were already in there. I think I discovered CocoMelody on IG and from many hours on Google searching for affordable wedding dresses. Their IG presence is really impressive - professional photos and they feature brides that have worn CM dresses on their wedding days. Made an appointment for President's Day (super easy to do online). CM is located in the Gerry Building in the Fashion District - right next to Paris Baguette. My friends and I arrived a few minutes late for our 11am appointment. We sign in but are kept waiting for an additional 5-10 minutes before the appointment gets started. I had Arianne as my stylist (she was also working the front desk when we arrived). Arianne was friendly enough, but on the quieter side, and did not pull any dresses for me. I went through the showroom and pulled 4 dresses that I wanted to try on. They DO NOT have every dress from their website available to try on - I also didn't do the virtual showroom because other reviews stated that it wasn't very helpful since those dresses weren't even available. CocoMelody definitely has super affordable dresses with a lot of options and customizable details, but the showroom will most likely not have all the dresses you want to try on. They have their current new collection and most of their bestsellers available. I found the experience a bit impersonal and lackluster and my appointment ended up being less than 1 hour. Parking is available at the lot next door ($15-$20) or if you're familiar with the area, you can park a few blocks away at the cheaper lots ($5-$10). Overall, I'm glad I went to the showroom to satisfy my curiosity, but it is disappointing that a lot of the dresses weren't available to try on. NOTE: if you order your dress at the store, they charge a 15% styling fee in addition to the tax and shipping cost. If you know what dress you want, I would say just order it online and save some $$! read more

I've been waiting for a refund since February!!! Their customer service is horrible! I've been dealing with them since October when I found out they closed the LA store without notice. After trying to change my order they left me on read for 2 months and then tried to tell me they were waiting for me to reply. When I submitted screenshots of my reply they said "Oh we must have deleted the reply or it went to spam." I AM STILL waiting for the refund I was promised in February! read more

My experience at Cocomelody today was nothing short of amazing. From the time we entered the store to saying Yes to my dress, every moment was definitely an experience. Area We were so fortunate to have found parking just outside of the complex. Cocomelody is located on the 8th floor of this building. I so appreciate that they also have access to bathrooms! Dresses Cocomelody's was by far the most organized location I went to. The dresses were organized by season and style. It made looking for a gown so much easier. I was also impressed with the collection that they had. All the dresses in store were so beautiful! Customer Service This is where they definitely outshine all of the bridal dress stores I've been to. My stylist for the day was Piper and she was incredible. She was very personable, took the time to really listen to what I was looking for even though I wasn't able to verbalize it well, and was very determined to help me find the dress. She was very patient and really listened to what I was looking for. I also had Albert checking in on me multiple times during my appointment, which made me feel like I was the only bride-to-be at Cocomelody. Upon looking for a wedding dress, I found Cocomelody. The reviews seemed good so I took a shot and get my dress online. My mother helped pay for the dress...it was a bit over 700 but we decided to get it custom made because we figured it would cost less in alterations if it needed any. I went to a professional seamstress who took my measurements and i double measured myself to confirm and I gave them the measurements. The communication during the dress making period was good. They would respond within the day or the day after. When I got the dress I was so excited to try it on. Until I did and it was way too big on me. I'm thinking there's absolutely no way this dress is custom made. Or it might have gotten switched with another. They will not except returns for " Custom made" items. They originally offer like an $80 dollar reimbursement.. they offered $100. I took it to different places to get quoted. The cheapest one ended up costing $650! When I told them this. They said that's too much...lol like well of you had actually done your job then i dont think it would have cost this much...I only have so many places In my area that I can go too. Like how rude can you be? They then said they reimbursement $150 without me agreeing to it. I'm still in the process of trying to get at least half of thr alteration price. I guess I just got unlucky because people seem to be super pleased. While the dress itself is absolutely gorgeous. The fact that at this rate I could have gotten the dress I originally wanted for 1500 but instead I got the cheaper dress only to basically pay the same amount. First time in a bridal shop and it was a fun experience. My sister wanted to look at some dresses here. We arrived on a Saturday and it was by appointment only and we had 4 people in our group. I found parking a little down the street in an all day parking lot for about $15. We had time to look around at the dresses. My sister talked to the saleswoman about her style and wedding theme. She provided some really great options. I really felt that the saleswomen sincerely cared and helped to make this an amazing experience. All the dresses were absolutely beautiful. We also had to wear masks due to covid restrictions. I did reach out to the company on Yelp and got a response within 24 hours. I'm not a huge fan of shopping, and I'm a pretty indecisive person in general. Having to shop for a wedding dress was certainly a challenge. Ten at Cocomelody, DTLA made the process of shopping for a wedding dress fun, exciting, and easy. Ren is very friendly, patient, and positive. Her calm energy really put me at ease and she was extremely helpful with answering all of my Questions and addressing my feedback during the shopping process. This place is not professional at all. Customer are definitely not catered to with pride and respect. Dresses are not the best. Very unprofessional in every sense of the word, they are also very bad with payment process dont respond to calls especially if its a complaint. Complaining leads to looking into it and not getting it done. Lady screams with every word I dont know if thats her normal tone but its very rude. I came in a group for an appointment with Albert and it was a great experience! Cocomelody was recommended to us from another friend. It's appointment only and individuals can bring 2 people on weekends and 4 on weekdays. There is a valet lot around the corner for easy parking ($20 for the day). Albert had pulled some dresses already (you fill out a questionnaire online when scheduling) and gave opportunity to look around prior. They do not dress you (I think because of COVID), so you can dress yourself in your own dressing room and there's a pedestal to stand on. Albert also pulled different veils, fabrics, and brought up the idea of customizing. They seem to have lots of options and they provided tons of information on what they could do. My group was torn between two, so Albert gave us the item numbers, pricing and contact information to think it over. I found Cocomelody online and was so excited to see they had a showroom in LA. It was very easy to schedule an appointment. This was my first appointment to try on dresses ever and I was worried that I would be pressured to buy one but I was not! Albert helped me and he was great. Albert really listened to the idea/style of my wedding and pulled out veils and capes I didn't think I'd like. I was allowed to look at the stock and not limited to what I had selected online to try. It was a very busy day and they were short-staffed, but I never felt rushed. Albert made my mother and I very comfortable and while he had to assist other brides at the same time, I felt that I still received ample attention during my appointment. The selection of dresses is huge. The place is industrial chic and very comfortable-not crowded or dirty. There's plenty of parking lots around the area and even a cute french cafe on the corner to hang out in if you show up early (we did). The only con was getting in touch on the phone- but they were short-staffed and when not helping the brides, they were on the phone- so offer them grace in this regard. Highly recommend!! I absolutely LOVED my wedding dress. The staff at this location was very friendly and helpful. She suggested lots of pretty dresses and I didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. It was the 2nd place I had tried dresses at, and I had my heart set on a dress I had already seen. Well thank goodness I came to cocomelody because I fell in love with a much more AMAZING dress and it was $600 cheaper than the previous dress. I received massive compliments from everyone! My dress also arrived right when expected!
