I came in at 6pm and it was Super busy so that was a good sign. The stand up tanning bed was sooo good, but you would never know by the look of it! But super powerful. the whole establishment is a dump. you can tell this owner does not care about their business. i've only been a few times but every time i go in the one and ONLY employee is busy running around doing everything with absolutely no help or no back up. i was informed she isn't even allowed breaks when i asked her what time they will be closing for lunch! That is illegal?! this owner needs to be sued. the beds are dirty. bathroom was even worse. the whole salon smelled like rotten cheese was in the air vents. I seriously hope this owner is put to shame by the way she runs their business. read more

I've been coming here for years. I don't go very often but each time I do go the front desk person is always always friendly. The beds are always clean. I wouldn't say the rooms are the most modern but who cares about that. The important thing is that the staff is friendly, the place is affordable, the beds are in good condition, ample parking, and they have great hours. Bonus... Hate to leave a bad review, but drove 20 minutes here and arrived at 10:45 AM eager to try out a Mystic Tan. Business hours are posted as opening at 9:30 AM. Doors were locked and calls not answered. Saw several others pull up and drive away. Would love to give this place a chance, but wish they would update their hours if not open on a Sunday. read more

This place is great! (Especially for being so cheap), some beds are older beds, but they all have new bulbs. I get an even tan everytime. :] I've never had a member of the staff be rude to me and the rooms are always clean. I just wish they had baby wipes in the rooms to remove makeup, but you can't always get EVERYTHING you want. As for the two beds I've been in, here are the reviews: Bed 1 is a really nice bed. Clean, new, everything. Bed 4 is an older bed, still does an even tan because of new bulbs but it is obviously older and someone should probably wipe off the top of the machine, it is really dusty. And there is tons of dust and stuff inbetween the unit and the wall. :] read more

GROSS!!!! This is by far the dirtiest tanning salon, I have ever been to!! The beds are not clean and the rooms are filled with cobwebs. When I go somewhere to tan, I expect the beds to be cleaned and sanitized in between each person. I don't want to see anyone's dried sweat! It doesn't look like those beds have ever been properly cleaned! Yikes! Apparently they just stick in some towels in the rooms and go sit at the desk. So impressed with this tanning salon! Very affordable And all the bulbs are replaced often. For those of you who haven't tanned in a tanning bed before- if the bulbs are old, then you won't tan well. I got dramatically darker in just a few sessions. The salon isn't brand new and could probably use some upgrades- but it is kept very clean and the service is always friendly. I would normally have given this place 5 stars until today.... Sunday and it's supposed to be open at 9:30 am. No one is here and no one is answering the phone. Pretty un-professional to leave customers who loved you and want to give you business waiting. After a bad experience at a salon I was in search for a new place to get my tan on. Golden State Tanning Studio is great! This is largely due to the great staff. Everyone I have come into contact with has been extremely nice, attentive, and personable. On my first visit I received a full tour, explanation of all the beds, and packages. The prices are great! I love being tan...but I just can't lay still long enough, to get the kind of tan I can get, in just 10 minutes, a few times a week, at Golden State...I have tried other tanning studios...but never got a natural, deep looking tan at these other places... Golden State seems to always have fresh bulbs in their beds. The lotions they have available keep me moisturized...and boy, am I dark!! I will probably never again lay in the sun, for the purpose of getting a tan...now I can get out, and have some fun, and I'm already tan!!! i stopped by earlier to try this place out and tried a session in the platinum bed. i was really surprised when the bed started talking to me and giving me directions (however i just clicked it off). the entire place was so clean and i felt really fancy in that bed ! the lady at the front was SO cheerful and nice and she went over prices with me and also explained some info about their spray tan vs the beds. next time im going to try the stand up spray machine. ps. after i left the bed i didnt really see any difference but a few hours later i could clearly see the outline of where i put my palm tree sticker so i know i got some color. anybody looking for tanning id definitely recommend this place. read more

After leaving my review Season P who spray tanned me, tried making me feel bad for my review. I was up front and honest. My spray tan WAS horrible and he way she treated me was horrible. I paid for my service expecting a good spray tan and wasn't looking for a free handout. I make a lot of money and don't go looking to stir up problems or get free stuff. I look for quality. My job is a Quality Assurance Specialist. She claimed I went straight to the beach and looked great after I left. I did not go to the beach until he next day! That's why I went back there and complained and asked to be re-sprayed. I have gotten at least 50 spray tans by professionals and know what a good tan looks like. Streaky is NOT a good spray tan. I took good care and wore proper clothes etc and prepped properly. It was the person who sprayed me, not anything I did. When someone does a poor job and makes excuses instead of efforts to become better, it shows poor quality. Do not contact me again Season or I will be more than happy to go straight to your boss and the BBB. read more
