The office staff and billing department at this facility are easily some of the rudest, most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. ​If you have an issue, don't expect help. The front desk gives you the run-around and forces you to call other numbers rather than taking ownership and solving the problem. To make matters worse, the office/billing manager is incredibly condescending. ​The tipping point was being charged a "missed appointment fee" for an error they made. When they called to confirm my insurance info, they explicitly told me verbally that my appointment was on Tuesday. When I showed up/followed up, they claimed it was a different day and slapped me with a fee for their own mistake. ​The incompetence doesn't stop there. They refused to deal with my secondary insurance, ignoring the clear instructions on the card because they didn't want to do their part and contact them. ​As for the actual medical care, it's a joke. They spend about five minutes with you just to rush you out with a basic Walmart formulary prescription. They clearly prioritize high patient turnover over quality care and basic respect. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere that actually knows how to run an office. read more

Change their receptionists. No friendly greeting and no I'm sorry when a mistake is made.

The staff here is somewhat friendly but they are never on time. The few times I have been there I have been seen 1 hour after my initial appointment, and that's just getting the room, then I have to wait another 15-20 min for the doctor. It sucks when you have to take time off work or hire a baby sitter & you're not being seen on time. I wouldn't recommend this place for that reason. If you have an appointment make sure you set the majority of your day aside to be seen. read more

Nice office and staff, but don't go there if you're on Medicare with a Medicare supplement. They deliberately stonewalled after my initial visit on submitting claims to Medicare first as required by law. They instead submit claims first to your Medicare supplement, which of course is denied because because they didn't go to Medicare first. Then they start harassing you with bills for the full amount. They did exactly the same after another visit six months later. Then you call their billing and they say to ignore the bill, that they're working with the Medicare supplement insurance, which they're not supposed to be doing until they've submitted a claim directly to Medicare. Then they send you more bills and move you along to collections. You call again, and they tell you they never submitted a claim to Medicare, but that they see in the notes that that's what they need to do, and promise to submit to Medicare. Your Medicare website shows that they've never submitted a claim. Only problem is that the first claim is over a year old now and will not be covered by Medicare. I'll be filing a formal complaint to Medicare. read more

I had a spot on my arm & my primary Dr. wanted me to have it checked out to make sure it wasn't cancerous so I was referred to this clinic I saw Dr. Vue she was very rude & just glanced at my spot and said you're fine and started to walk out but before she did I told her it was a little painful and that I've had it for a few months she gave me a little attitude and said she'd send in the assistant with the things so she could get a sample I thought she was going to scrape a little bit so it could be tested but instead cuts a little chunk out and didn't even stitch it and told me to keep Vaseline on it Second picture is 10 days later and it's still very painful and it doesn't look good at all I received a private message about reaching out to me, obviously it's not that important because nobody ever called me. It's nice to find a quality Dr in Merced. We typically go out of town for specialty care. I was referred to Dr. Lam Le and by a friend and I have been a patient of his for a couple of years. The office waiting area is comfortable and not all squished together. I have never waited more than 5 min to see the Dr. I was able to make a last minute pop in visit with no problem. I have only great experiences with Golden State Dermatology and more specifically with Dr. Lam Le. read more

Had a growth on my neck and they were able to squeeze me in the next day. The waiting room is much nicer than most urgent cares and family practices in the area...spacious, modern and clean. Lam Le PA was able to identify the growth, remove it without issue and send it for a biopsy. I was in and out of the office in about 25 minutes. This review is for Dr. Eric Sako that performs the Mohs surgery at Golden State Dermatology in Merced, CA. My Dad had a basal cell carcinoma on his nose. It was previously biopsied, but the pathologist determined that the surgeon hadn't removed it all. It was recommended that my Dad have Mohs surgery to remove the remainder. Mohs surgery is a microscopic controlled surgery where each portion of tissue that is removed is examined under the microscope to ensure a clean margin. While my Dad knew he needed to have the Mohs surgery to ensure the remaining basal cell carcinoma was removed, he dreaded it because the injection to numb the nose can be so painful. We talked to Dr. Sako about his apprehension, and Dr. Sako assured us he would do his best to make it more comfortable. This morning, my Dad had the Mohs surgery. Dr. Sako and his assistant were great. Dr. Sako administered the anesthetic in a series of steps, starting at the bridge of my Dad's nose and gradually working down to the tip where the basal cell was located. He took his time and the end result was a painless procedure. My Dad said he'd had dental injections that hurt more! The procedure went very well. Dr. Sako only removed two tissue samples before clean margins were found. My Dad was comfortable throughout and was extremely relieved the process of numbing his nose was pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Sako for his empathy and care in reassuring a very apprehensive patient. read more
