Dry hot pot

Hidden gem of a food hall in flushing! There are many options- they have all kinds of food from baked goods and dessert to dry hot pot and noodle soup. Tried Lao Ma and Ginza Don. From Lao Ma we got dry hot pot with a peanut sauce because we didn't want something too spicy, but it ended up lacking a bit of flavor. We enjoyed the ingredients though- definitely stick to the standard spicy mala dry hot pot. From Ginza Don we got the Chashu Rice Bowl and the Cheese Sausage Corndog- the meat had a nice smoky yet sweet flavor and the corndog was tasty and had a great cheese pull. Overall, would come back to try other stalls.

We came for the dry hot pot where we could select our own. Overall didn't love it but think it's my fault because I asked for not spicy. Other peoples food looked better than mine. I would def go back and try again. People very friendly

I had come here before the remodel and it is a world of difference. Well lighted, open and lots of good food. Many different place with the wide variety of foods. I ate my way through many stalls.

There are so many options in Golden Mall, one of my favorite places to hang out in Flushing. Some vendors are so unique that you can't find something similar in Queens like Ginza Don and Good Coconut. Looking forward to trying more stuff in Golden Mall.

I was in food heaven here and there was such a variety of authentic and varied Chinese food here that I wish I could eat there for 2 weeks! It is a blessing of a place to eat and just walk around and see and experience so many different parts of Chinese food all in one place! The stalls are all individually owned and the people are all so friendly and helpful. If you speak Chinese (Mandarin) that will help a lot but the folks there will still try to help you through their menus. Give it a try! It is worth the trip!

This place was burned down right before the pandemic, and just recently re-opened. It was filmed in one of Anthony Bourdain's episodes. Yozi is my go-to place. Try the duck soup, and steamed dumplings

Drypot

We first started coming here to the basement about 20 years ago when there was an all you can eat, no-frills (grungy?) hotpot place in the rear. Some prepared foods were actually stored in the bathroom, yikes! That was a true "secret spot" frequented by older school kids, hipster foodies (Anthony Bourdain!) and mostly locals. The newly renovated Golden Mall is much more gentrified, cleaner and should have a wider audience, but one can still transfer RMB/USD between the US and China here. We decided on the dry pot and chose our ingredients from the self-service bar at $13.99/pound. The dry pot is cooked per your requested spice level-we ordered medium, which was about a 3 out of 10. Food is cooked very quickly and within 5 minutes our food was brought to our self service table. As far as local, Flushing, dry pot, for us Laoma Malatang in the basement of the New World Mall is still the best tasting, but this is a pretty close second. The wok temperature here is slightly lower and the finished product doesn't have the same level of dryness. In all, lunch was $35 including 2 bowls of rice (included free) and 2 cans of soda.

A small food court located right next to Tesco. Many of the stalls are local Flushing favorites: ViVis Bubble Tea, Yozi duck noodles etc. I was a bit disappointed that this Yozi didn't have dry hot pot on the menu like its first location in New World Mall, but maybe they'll start offering it in time. They have special duck soup + soup dumpling combos here that are less expensive than if ordered separately.

THAT front stall! My girlfriend and I were in need of a quick, cheap snack/meal on a random Saturday evening and we came upon the infamous Golden Shopping Mall, where it all started for Xian Famous Foods. Xian has since moved a few doors down and, well, expanded into a nice "little" business, but there still remains many authentic northern Chinese entrepreneurs in here. Initially, we walked inside and noticed the small seating area for the hole in the wall restaurants inside/"food court", but weren't sure if we wanted to eat and sit or just grab and go. We walked back out and checked out the food that the fella manning the front stall was selling and it all looked good .. and inexpensive! We were about to walk away, but the man hollered at us in English and asked us what we wanted. To be honest, some of the merchants in Flushing can be downright cold, but this gentleman couldn't be any more friendlier to us as he even volunteered to pose for one of my Yelp photos, but I respectfully declined. We ended up ordering a few items from his stall: a pork bun, lamb burger, beef burger and 2 Chinese chive pocket pancakes with scrambled egg filling. All of it came out to about $11 only! None of the food was anything new to us, since we were used to the flavors, so we loved each and every bite of what we ordered. Plus, we were starving! For the newbies though, the lamb and beef burgers are basically like pita pockets with minced lamb and beef meat. The pork bun is exactly what it's name implies. The chive pocket pancakes are filled with small bits of scrambled eggs and chives. All you have to know is that it's all delicious ... and cheap! We will definitely be back here soon!

Before the other food courts started to pop up, this was already long established. You can find noodle soups, dumplings, buns, meats, and many more here. Not exactly the cleanest environment or smells too good making your way inside. The price point is great, and the food is amazing. But to be honest, the other food courts are just as good and has a lot more to offer. Its just nostalgic to make a revisit here every once in a while.

Hi Friends! Welcome to Flushing's Subterranean Golden Mall. Go down the Stairs and you'll come out on the other side of the world. Pack some cash and set your Google translator to Chinese. Don't forget to bring your hunger for adventures as you enter the belly of the dragon. There is approximately 10 food stalls in this cool underworld food court. These eateries menu boards are mainly in Chinese, you know you're getting the real deal here. The eating arrangements are quite simple. Folded chairs are at folding tables or small booths. Don't Inspect the ceilings or floors too carefully. Get yourself ready from an unparalleled eating experience because you're just not in Kansas anymore. I've been visiting the golden Mall for about 8 years now, my wife first introduced me to the place. The first time I came here I thought I had been transported to China. Then fortunately, I met my friend Neil B. He is a connoisseur of Exotic cuisines and Yelper extraordinaire. I was honored as he became my guide to help unlock the wonders and delicious secrets of the Subterranean Golden Mall. He knows all the folks that preserve and showcase their families secret recipes 5000 years old. He's sampled all of the venues here and knows where each treasure can be found. I thank you my friend Neil. I'm getting really hungry as I'm writing this so I'm already planning my next visit to the Golden Mall.

Silence is golden but this mall is far from silent

Ask the Community - Golden Mall

Is this only food here or is it a regular mall? Do I need to be able to read/speak Chinese to eat here? I don't eat pork, etc so if not in English I'm crap out of luck to pick vegetarian food?” Does anyone know which mall is the Korean luxury mall?

They understand English and they serve every kind of meat and vegetable. It not a shopping mall but a traditional Asian food court that's serves very good food

Best food court in NYC !!!…read more I have probably ate at 1,000 different stalls inside the New World Mall food court over the years, so let me be its 1,000th review. Seems fitting. Considering I just did another mini food tour with my friends today, this place has been my go to for a quick bite in Flushing since its inception. Not a whole lot of the stalls have lasted over the years, but a handful remain, while the new entrants keeps the food court interesting. Below is the current list of vendors as of May 2025. I also added my favorite item from some of my usual spots. #2 Chongqing Zaier (Yunnan) #3 Ke Lai Qin (Hunan) - chili fish head #4 Joe's Steam Rice Roll (Cantonese) - shrimp roll #5 Tarim Uyghur Cuisine (Uyghur) - lamb skewer #6 A Zhong (Taiwanese) - thread noodle soup #7 Kung Fu Tea (Boba Shop) #8 Grilled Squid (Korean, Chinese) #9 Xiao Luo Luo (Guanxie) #10 Xiang Ba Ye (Hunan) #11 Piaoxiang Yuan (Dongbei) - potato noodles #12 Tiger Sugar (Boba Shop) - black sugar milk tea #13 Gong Cha (Boba Shop) #14 Lanzhou Handmade Noodle (Lanzhou) #16 Laoma Ma La Tang (Szechuan) - mixed dry pot #18 Eight Beautitudes (Korean) #19 Chong Qung Xiao Mian (Szechuan) - spicy noodle #20 Yozi Duck Vermicelli Soup (Shanghai) - duck soup #21 Nai Brother (Szechuan) - sauerkraut fish #22 Mr. Pang (Taiwanese) #23 Ramen & Udon (Japanese) #24 Tian Fu (Szechuan) #25 Chick Rocks (Chicken Shop) #26 Mojoilla Fresh (Taiwan) - egg waffle #27 Royal Queen (Cantonese) - roast meats #28 Xi'an Cuisines (Xian) - lamb burger #29 Liu Liu Sheng Jian (Shanghai) - soup dumplings #30 C/K Dumplings & Noodles (Dongbei) - dumplings #31a O'Sun Teriyaki (Japanese) #31b Wang's Beef Offal House (Cantonese) - beef I do wish this place was cleaner, smells better and have free wifi service. However, I'm here for the great food options and can overlook quite a bit. Therefore, though there are shortcomings, I block it all out and just enjoy what they do offer, which is large variety of delicious cuisines from around China/Asia.

Made my stomach feel not so clean after but it was good! The soup dumplings were okay, I don't think it's the best or worst I've had. The food court has no reception and can get very packed, especially since this place gets talked about a lot. The food court also has cool vending machines with blind boxes that are sometimes hard to find which is nice. If you live here it's pretty convenient place to stop by.

It's clean, modern, and way more spacious than a lot of other food courts in the area, which makes it easy to hang out without feeling cramped. What I like most is the variety. You can get everything from hand pulled noodles and spicy Sichuan dishes to Korean street food and fun dessert spots all in one place. It's perfect for groups because everyone can order from different vendors and still sit together. Prices are pretty reasonable, and portions are solid. It does get busy, especially on weekends, so finding a table can take a little patience. And like any food hall, some stalls are better than others but overall, the quality is consistently good. I came here today to show my support for Black Label Donuts's Pop Up at this food court! My friend and I waited over 2 hours as we inch by inch got up to the register. I saw many of my peeps such as Raymart (luckily was the first batch of people to get their hands on BLD's donuts), bumped into Lesie, and Lillian (so sweet to offer us samples of her 5 Spice Chocolate Hot Cake Donut and Rosemary Lemon Olive Oil Hot Cake Donut...thank you darling) + Harris. This was an enormous turnout and the line was all the way from the bottom of steps by the elevators and side doors of Queens Crossing. When we were so close, someone came over with a sampling tray of 5 Spice Chocolate and Raspberry Chocolate. I liked the Raspberry Chocolate ::sad face:: the last one went home with someone that was ahead of us and another couple. I got a hug from my friend Richard Eng, the magnificent creator of Black Label Donuts. My friend ordered Honey Crisp Chai Hot Cider...beautiful presentation and don't cover it with a lid...I had a sip of hers...very refreshingly tasty I got a Matcha Pistachio Old Fashioned (couldn't try because of my allergies), a 5 Spice Chocolate, and a Rosemary Lemon Olive Oil (I preferred this one over the lemon curd one). I love his donuts with a filling more but the hot cake donuts were yummy especially Rosemary Lemon Olive Oil! As a food stall destination, Landmark Mall is mentioned far less than its food court brethren along…read moreRoosevelt and just down and around the block. (#1) Yet some of the most interesting businesses are beginning to take shape here and certainly some of the more delicious options in the Flushing foodisphere. If one isn't reading the signs on the outside, Landmark Quest's lineup is similar to a lot of other stall driven spaces in the hood: dig a little further and find a lot of gems. Since businesses come and go (#2), the spaces are continually being filled with new concepts all the time. Virtually every stall is Chinese owned and operated. The big attraction for most is Joe's Steamed Rice Roll (https://www.yelp.com/biz/joes-steam-rice-roll-flushing), which is easily one of Flushing's most popular food stalls at the moment. Next door is another location of Qinjin Taste (https://www.yelp.com/biz/qinjin-taste-%E7%A7%A6%E6%99%8B%E5%91%B3%E9%81%93-flushing-2), followed by Taiwanese dessert haven Crystal Ice (https://www.yelp.com/biz/crystal-ice-flushing) along with good ol Toofy Duck (喵喵鸭) and newcomer Hunan SuoFen (湖南嗦粉). Across the way is also the popular Taiwanese dessert stall, Happy Wheelie (https://www.yelp.com/biz/happy-wheelie-%E9%96%8B%E5%BF%83%E7%B4%85%E8%B1%86%E9%A4%85-flushing), which recently rebranded as simply "Taiwan Wheel Cake." Not all the stalls have seating and with the exception of Joe's, most are take out friendly. Cash is king as always and a little Mandarin will go a long way. Otherwise, a little pointing should do the trick. Then there are a slew of other businesses ranging from a dance school and beauty to currency exchange and computer repair. As previously noted, all signs are out in the front for each individual business. I am hopeful this place will eventually have a steadier flow of traffic; it all starts with this review.
