Food is decent good. The staffs were friendly and dedicated. The store is beautifully organized with their own merchandise. The atmosphere was very clean. I order Curry Chicken and Brown Chicken both were good. I also ordered Ginger Beer Juice or slush. They were delicious. I brought it home and added a shot of rum. Still delicious! read more

The food is always a hit! Service is fast. The ambiance is get in/out. Very clean establishement.

Since the location nearest me doesn't serve mackeral, I often drive the extra 10 minutes to the location at Stonecrest to enjoy breakfast. Unfortunately, they've started this foolishness again. The portion size for food has greatly diminished as they are now counting half of a boiled banana as one piece while charging the same price. So when I order my normal 3 bananas and a boiled dumpling I only really get 1 1/2 bananas. They've gone back and forth doing this over the past couple months since new management. I told my server I wouldn't be as frequent if I come again at all. Very disappointing. read more

No cabbage at 12:43. Instead of asking what side you would like they automatically give you extra plantains. My husband asked for some peppers on his rice and then she said it would extra. Ma'am it isn't our fault you don't have cabbage, you should have asked what side we wanted, and on top of that I read of rice and peas I have rice. The plantains aren't even sweet. Please do better. read more

I was pretty disappointed during my most recent visit. The Oxtail was extremely tough and inedible. It was as if the cooking was rushed. I ended up throwing the plate out and only eating some of the rice and plantain. It's a bit disappointing to spend so much on a plate of food and for the quality to be lacking. I'll probably try a different location or another Jamaican restaurant all around read more

Golden Krust should be ashamed of themselves for selling "bread" as carrot cake! My husband bought me a slice. It didn't have any shredded carrots or anything else in it. It didn't have any frosting on it. It wasn't wedge shaped. It was a thin slice of "slightly carrot and ginger flavored" bread. I'm glad he bought it as I requested, but if I had been there, I would've left it behind. Everything else that he bought today was OK, not great, but OK. read more

Jerk chicken was fresh, moist, and mildly spicy. The platter included four pieces of chicken, along with three sides: fried plantains, rice and beans, and cabbage. The fried plantains were warm and sweet, while the rice and beans were fluffy, and flavorful. The cabbage was a mix of green beans, carrots, corn, and Lima beans. The portion size of the small platter could easily be mistaken for a large. I also added a carrot cake to my order, which was an added bonus. It was fresh, moist, lightly sweet, and mixed with walnuts and raisins. The staff was friendly, and the drive-thru was quick and convenient, despite the inconvenience of using tap pay at register while their machine was down. read more

went here for a snack & my food was overly fresh.. i had thee cocoa bread w/ veggie patty They were out of mac but they made up for it.

Service was good and the carrot cake was wonderful! The food wasn't all that great. I got the small jerk chicken meal with peas and rice, cabbage and plantains. The rice tasted old and dry and the cabbage was not cooked long enough. I probably won't be back. read more

They just stare without greeting you with so much as a friendly smile or a thank you! Our server was Kaye Ingram S as printed on receipt she also cashed us out. We decided to dine in and looked at several tables and all were dirty with dried up food. After looking at several tables my daughter went over to the register to ask her if she could come over and clean the table for us. She came over with no urgency looked at the table as if she didn't see the need to bother her. Therefore, I helped her out by pointing out the stuck on food. I could tell by her demeanor, lack of conversation and facial expressions that she wasn't pleased. She slowly walked towards the door where a water bucket sat on top of the garbage bin and began rolling a wash rag around in the water all while staring out at the parking lot! This seemed to be intentional as she delayed washing the table while at the same time checking out the outdoor scenery! We were patient until it became obviously clear what she was doing. The I said politely " anytime today would be fine"; with that said she came over and barely touched the table leaving it still a mess. I pointed to areas that needed additional attention which she grudgedly wiped. I was taken aback by the horrible customer service especially since there were other customers dining in! This alone lets me know that they really don't care one way or the other whether you patronize this business. Their location is at 2960 Stonecrest Pass Lithonia. I will never support this establishment again. read more

So I just left here Been coming for several years I get the same thing Everytime Stew chicken No Rice Regular Veggies, Plantains Everytime I have ordered this way They argue me down to get Extra Cabbage and charge me for it I tell them Everytime I dont want xtra Cabbage I want it the Regular way Just No Rice So im going back and forth with the little girl at the window The manager comes to the window and Says I will be forced to order and be charged for xtra Cabbage that I dont want btw If I exclude Rice And I figured out why Because they are cheating us as customers like Crazey They want to give you these small cut up pieces of chicken but pile your plate with a bunch of rice enough for 4 people or cover up the plate with a bunch of Cabbage to hide the fact they are robbing their customers with barely any chicken Deceptive Business Practices 15 dollars for a bunch of rice and barely any chicken is Beyond Dirty read more

I have been to this location many many times and I will keep coming back.  The best thing I can say about this place is that the food is consistently very good.  Their portions are generous and can usually last a couple of days. The food tastes just as good the second day. I can suggest the curry chicken, chicken roti and wifey likes the brown stew chicken. They have a wide selection of traditional Jamaican dishes, drinks and desserts. read more

I am so sick of this raggedy spot. Whyyyyyyyyyy did I decide to give them the benefit of the doubt AGAIN, after an entire year. Prayed that just maybe they've improved a little. He// No!! Just had another bad experience at this location. Got a craving for the curry shrimp early today, golden krust opened at 11am. Came with 2 friends and we were all ready to order some curry shrimp. We walk in and order and they tell us there is no curry shrimp and they don't make it until later in the afternoon. Talking about it's still breakfast. Ma'am it's 11am, it's not still breakfast lol. And why is it on the menu? We are pescatarian so we don't eat chicken and beef, it's not the same. We ended up leaving and I called the Golden Krust on Redan and she said they have curry shrimp ready. So that's where we are headed right now. It's a shame that all locations are operated differently. I feel like it's always something with the curry shrimp at the stone crest location, they never have it. read more

I wasn't going to even leave a review but I woke up upset about how this was handled last night. My wife order UberEats pickup from this location and upon arrival, the cashier said that our order hadn't come in but in the app it was reflecting that it was ready. The cashier also told me it had to be at another store. With no complaints, called my wife to confirm the address and I was indeed at the correct restaurant. Showing them a screenshot of the order, it still took them another 15 mins to fulfill the order and correct their mistake. No apology or anything, just a rush to click the "order has been picked up button" in the app. Although this restaurant isn't far from the neighborhood, and the food is delicious, I can't return to be serviced here as the professionalism seems to be about only money. Service is everything. I wish Keith Lee was there last night. read more

I visited this location yesterday with the intention of ordering a curry shrimp plate. The menu showed only one size, large @ $17.xx. I placed my order and requested the spinach rice because it's so delicious! But I noticed the size container she was using was a small, so I inquired. The server kept repeating that the curry shrimp only came in one size. I told her that I understood that but the menu shows the size to be large. She became very dismissive as if I didn't understand what "Lrg." in the menu indicted. I pointed out to her that the menu shows "Lrg." and surely that means "Large". She proceeded to ignore my request and asked if I wanted cabbage. I then asked if a manager was available and she shook her head "no." I promptly walked out without purchasing anything. I will make sure to only go to the Conyers location. The attitude of the server was uncalled for! read more

I arrived 2 minutes after lunch (3:02pm) and asked for the jerk chicken lunch special. They told me they couldn't give it to me. I was like ok, that's understandable. However, when I drove home and got settled in to eat my food... I opened the box and it was a fish head. I was given the wrong food . I drove all the way back to the store. I advised the store manager Shanica of the issue. She asked me to throw the food in the trash . I was given no discount, no apology, not even offered a drink--just asked to throw the food away. I advised I would rather just give the food to someone else rather than wasting it by throwing it in the trash. She stated I must throw it away to receive the food I ordered. I feel like I've wasted time and gas and wasn't compensated appropriately. I do not recommend this location. read more

This location is awful. Horrible service, especially if you order via DoorDash. Takes them forever to confirm and when they do and you receive your order, it's all wrong. You're better off going to the Conyers location. Food is better there too read more

Gave me food poisoning. Was sick for three days. I ate their 6 wings tossed in a sweet spicy type of sauce.

As I wait in the drive Thru, two cars ahead of me just to place my order, I decided to write this long-delayed review of this place. The food is never the problem. One of the most consistent eateries I've ever been to. The issue has been and always will be the customer service and lack of regard to "time". Even before the pandemic, they were dreadfully slow. Then, once the drive-thru finally opened, they've reached all sorts of heights of slowness. Let's be real though: the average customer that doesn't know what they want and talking on their cellphones while placing an order is about 50% of the problem. You have to be a real idiot not to know what you want at a slow establishment that practically gives you all the time you need to make up your mind. Or write a review while burning gas waiting on line. Finally, I'm at the box to order my food... I'm told to wait. So I decided to decrease a star in this review for every five minutes I have to wait just to order. Down to two stars and they don't have this food or that food... always out of something. You can argue it's 5pm and it's a dinner rush. But tell me that logic if you're known as a restaurant that runs out of food? McDonald's: 'sorry. We're out of burgers'. Taco Bell: 'sorry we're out of tacos' Chick fi la: 'sorry we're out of chicken' I remember one time ordering oxtail with white rice. No gravy on the rice. Come to get it, and it's not the order I wanted. Given an opportunity to 'not give a damn' about your order, they do it at the drive thru so I highly recommend you mask up and go inside if you order something too complex for the simple uncaring minds. Inside, at least you can keep them in line and check them on making your order right. I'm at the window finally to pay for my order. No one is there to greet me or take my money. Typical. I'm giving no benefit of the doubt because this is who they have always been prior to the pandemic. So I ask you: Should I have time to write a full review like this while waiting online? Real time? And spell correct, too? You tell me. read more

Good Mawnin Y'all, It's your boy, the groovy movie foodie and today I'm going to give you the scoop dish diddly on the good, the bad, and the expialidocious about Golden Krust. Supercalifragilistically speaking of course. Let's get it on!!! The Good Good... Came here prior to the Atlanta Caribbean Festival. Which was awesome by the way. And because I parked at Golden Krust for the festival, I'm going to throw in some photos of that too. My favorite snack here is the cheese and beef patty. OMG!!! It's a self contained bundle of cheeseburger in a pie crust. Go get u sum. The Bad... I've been to two other Golden Krusts. This is by far the best of all of them. It is also the farthest from me. ~The Expialidocious~ For the take home foodies, looking for a groovy movie to go with this dining experience, I would pair it with a sorrel with rum and a how Stella got her groove back. I just picked up something for dinner, my food better be good because their Customer Service Sucks!!!!!!!! SMH!!! I'm big on good customer service. It can make or break a business. This older lady there was talking so low you couldn't hear her, through her mask, speak up lady & without an attitude please. Then, the rude cashier gave me my food, and I said Thank you! This girl didn't open her mouth, so I yelled THANK YOU!!!!! Then, she says you're welcome; you heard me the first time. These ladies need a bad customer service class. Hey! Golden Krust at Stonecrest, y'all can go across the street to Chick-Fil-A It would be THEIR PLEASURE to train you all. Also, when you're not too cute, being KIND makes you look better. Ijs..... Now, I can edit this because I'm finished with my dinner. The food was not good either. I am throwing more than half of my food away. This location will not be getting one more penny from me. read more

Service is horrible, the server not only started my order stop serving me and started serving someone else that came in moments after me. . The server asked me what I wanted. I asked what kinda chicken is this? She told me the flavor and I said can I have this? She got distracted again by something outside (the store) then asked me asked me again so I said to the server "Are you listening to me?" She responded " stop yelling at me " ugh smh what the ? I just left cuz I can't pay you for food and pay for you to get my order wrong. I came in to make sure I get my order correct because just the day before( "in drive thru) the order was incorrect. But to deal with poor customer service is a big NO . I hope they recognize the issue and fix it. The person looked exhausted but that is not an excuse. I'm very upset. read more
