The food here is not great and the customer service is just as bad. I came here once and probably won't patron here again.

Food was so good like I mean so good I enjoyed it so much it was amazing food was cooked right and everything and the old lady was so nice and cheerful. I wish I was their to give a tip read more

worst experience I ever had. I got two trays curry chicken tray and a jerk chicken tray which cost me over $30. The curry chicken tray had only three pieces of chicken and they were all bones no meat and it was the same for the jerk chicken tray, three pieces of chicken, all bones no meat I wouldn't invite anybody to spend the money here they're just rob you read more

My mom and I came to try the beef patties. She decided to order jerk chicken and I also got stew chicken. They didn't have beef patties, so I got chicken. It was obviously curry chicken because once I bit into it, it was definitely spicy. I enjoyed it still. Also, when I opened my plate I had oxtails and not stew chicken. That was okay too because I really did want to try the oxtails. The service was good. The young man who helped us was very direct and straight to the point about our order and what was and was not available. The food area was very clean and so was the rest of the front area. There isn't a place to sit in here, so you will be doing carry-out. The parking garage lot is small. The entire building is attached/connected to a gas station convenience store. There is a lot of traffic in and out of here. Be careful if you pull straight into a spot and are trying to back out. I totally forgot to get pictures of my food because I went straight to the school for an event. Please give this hole in the wall spot a chance. The prices are good (we paid right at $33.00 for 2 meals) and the service is good too. The food was excellent. read more

I really like the jerk chicken. It has a different style of taste in comparison with many of the other jerk chicken cuisines I have tasted. I don't like Spicy food yet the jerk chicken was slightly spicy with a barbecue taste. The times posted on the internet are wrong so if your trying to beat rush-hour traffic to get there don't worry they close later than 6 o'clock. read more

Jamaican Kitchen - Jerk Chicken - Caribbean Near Me - Lithonia, Georgia

Théy not only served me uncooked bloody food but when I bought a picture and my receipt to get a refund they refused to give it to me. The lady was rude Af. Do not eat here at all. She asked why didn't I bring the food back? I didn't bring it back because I bought it to my overnight shift and threw it away after I realized it is undercooked. She claim the food wasn't from their restaurant when she wasn't even there to make my plate. Rude unprofessional take your money else where. read more

Jamaican Kitchen - Thé photo speaks for itself , bloody chicken smh - Caribbean Near Me - Lithonia, Georgia

So I decided to give this place 1 more try after still being hungry because of their very small portions of meat and huge portions of rice And its the same Why do they cut the chicken in small pieces with mostly bone and charge like 20 bucks for you to get home and gotta leave back out to get something else to eat Typically ethnic people have heavy hands and love to.pile your plate But i.guess this place want to serve appetizer portions and charge full price There was barely any meat on the bone ..You go to any chicken place and order a meal they give you 3 pieces of whole chicken not broken up overpriced pieces ..and dont let me mention the attitudes..they pretty much screamin at you at the drive thru takin ya order and be mad at the window ..I'm done read more

I ordered jerk chicken with rice and cabbage and all I got was rice and chicken never again would I be ordered from their place

I've been going here for a while now. The food is very good and they give a lot of food. My only wish is that the meal come with a drink. They charge more when you use a card and the prices have drastically increased. Overall I recommend this place read more

I ordered food here on a Sunday around 2ish. There were no other customers when I arrived. It made me think twice about staying. I should have followed my first thought. The girl who took my order was nice. First order- small jerk chicken. It did not taste like jerk, like chicken with sauce. The outside of the chicken was dry, like it had been left over or under heat lights for too long. Second order-large stewed chicken. Let's just say I've had way better. This chicken was also hard and dry on the outside. Neither meal was served with plantain. Positives-rice and peas were good along with the curry chicken patty. I'll pass this place the next time. read more

Dirty scam artists. They accept your order on UberEats and then cancel it after 5 minutes, so they can keep your money. Beware.

Jeezas have mercy! As my grandmother would say...I had the oxtails and I am so very disappointed. This is in no way a Jamaican oxtail. There was nowhere to start, the whole thing was bad: thick brown gravy, too sweet, fatty. I can honesty say it's not the worst I have had, that was in Tokyo at a place that said they were a Jamaican Restaurant and the food was terrible, but this comes in a close runner up on my worst list. I will be sticking to the patties that are very very good (not Tastees) but very good. read more

I love the consistently good oxtails and rice.. but it's a shame the young guys are not there anymore and it's just the (owners wife maybe?) I like her but she's so stingy with the gravy...I have to ask her two and three times to please put more gravy... It's annoying. By now it should be obvious to her that I want ALOT OF GRAVY read more

Favorite spot to get spinach Patty Coco bread and sorrel love love love the homemade Sorelle when they do have it.

It's giving American. It wasn't too bad but didn't taste like Jamaicans cooked this meal. I got jerk chicken, the chicken was very tender and good but the flavors overall didn't give Jamaica. Btw I am American. read more

i've been to several "authentic" Jamaican spots recently. Jamaican Kitchen is as good, if not better than the highly touted places around town! had the oxtails, cabbage and rice w/peas. tender, flavorful and plentiful. that's a GREAT trifecta! Jamaican Kitchen also stocks "Ting" and Sorrel in the beverage case. a VERY pleasant surprise! for most folks around Atlanta, coming to Jamaican Kitchen will take more than a notion, but if you're in the Lithonia area, and have a taste for the food, it's WELL worth a "stop & cop", but note that the restaurant on Dekalb Medical Parkway, off the corner of Covington Hwy, otherwise you'll never find it! Great food...Stew beef is one of my favorite dishes from this particular Jamaican restaurant and of course you know u get plenty food.... and make sure u ask for extra gravy . To save yourself some time, call ahead and it will be hot and ready when you get there. For what it's worth, the customer service is fair and the restaurant is very clean. 3 stars for service...and 4 stars for the food. That's only because I've had tastier cabbage at other Jamaican restaurants. Their's is a bit bland....I'm all about flavor but it is still worth it indeed.. read more

Jamaican Kitchen - Stew beef with rice and peas & cabbage and plaintains of course - Caribbean Near Me - Lithonia, Georgia

Oh my Gawd, No they Didn't... they didn't just serve me Curry goat with Cabbage and White rice in a Styrofoam container that tastes better than any food I had in that Jamaican resort "Hedonism II" when I was there 4 years and 25 Lbs. ago! Well, I guess the buffet at Hedonism II is not Jamaican Cuisine....anyways (No, I was not completely nakkit, I was staying on the "prude " Side). Well, Yes they did! And they did me right, son! So I was working in Lithonia and had a hunger from here to Eternity so I drove down looking for something Ethnic! I pulled into a strip center which has a Gas Station, a barber, etc... and this little joint is in there. Is a walk up styled restaurant. Has 4 tables, a cooler, and makes you feel like you are in Jamaica because the Air Conditioning is not flowing! Who cares. I order the small (Thank God, because there is plenty for 2)... and for less than $8 bucks I am feasting in a heap of Curry Goat, White rice and a side of boiled cabbage with peas and carrots. To compliment my Caribbean experience, I took off my sweater and ate in my tank top, while sipping on Orange Faygo (Caffeine Free)....and enjoying intelligible Reggae tunes.sounding like a Jamican Salt N Peppa..... Fun and hot, and delicious... so delicious, they need to open one of these downtown, with waitstaff, a bar and a stage! I am taking a break as I type this, and because seems that is rare to have a "somewhat white girl" eat in here. I feel like the Panda at the Zoo, everyone is telling everyone to come peek thru the glass window and see me...or maybe because I am sucking on these Goat bones! Come please! read more

This establishment is highly unprofessional. I ordered a deliver vegetarian meal and received the incorrect order. I spoke with an employee who was extremely rude and unprofessional. She did not consider the fact that she had made a mistake in completing my order. I had a copy of my receipt and she continued to dishonor my order. I am very disappointed in the lack of respect and professionalism you all have. read more

The yelp reviews led me here for lunch and I am so happy they did! Ordered the Shrimp Curry to discover that it is made to order so you have to wait a bit, but it was worth every minute. I realize not everyone likes a curry flavor, but the shrimp and veggies were fresh and the rice and gravy was tasty! I'll post a pic if the dish. The menu is small, but if everything is treated as good as this dish, you can't go wrong with any selection. read more

I just moved from downtown and I'm used to having a lot of restaurant choices. I'm so glad I found this lil spot because I was starting to hate my neighborhood for choices. The food was great. I accidently stopped by that other Jamaican spot next door to them and walked out cuz I wasn't feeling it at all. But I'll definitely be back here since I live down the street now. Shout out to that light skin Jamaican man. He was so nice. read more

Ox tail and cabbage with beef patty. Beef patty flakey meat well seasoned, great flavor. Cabbage soft good flavor as well. Rice and peas cooked well, gravy from ox tail delicious, had a very deep rich taste, full of flavor. Ox tail moist and well cooked. Overall a good experience. I would go back. read more

As a West Indian I can honestly say this is not the real deal. Jerry Chicken as a bbq/ ketchup taste to it. Customers service is just okay as well read more

We had the three patties that they offer and their patties are on the small side. The chicken was good and not as doughy as most but a lil veg in it would send it over the edge. The beef was good. So says my 12 year cousin. And I had the veggie and it was cool. Little spice which was cool. Would we trek here just for the patties? Idk about all that but if you're in the area and want a small snack - try er out. Don't get the sorrel tho. read more

I ordered off of Yelp (grub hub)which I was worried about because some of the reviews. However, the food was ready when I got there and the employee was very nice in my opinion. I got 3 different types of patties and they were very good. read more

Wasn't the best jerk chicken but I enjoyed the tenderness of the meat . Rice and beans didn't taste fresh . Also got the spicy beef patty that wasn't hot or taste homemade . Best part of my meal was the lemon cake though . Absolutely delicious ! read more

Super tasty and spicy. A great pit stop after biking and hiking Arabia Mountain. The patties are awesome. Will be back.

It's getting pretty sad that there are a number of Jamaican restaurants in Metro Atlanta, but the taste and food quality is horrible. Jamaican Kitchen is one of those examples. I ordered the Curry chicken. The curry was very blah and boney. The rice and peas was all rice and 3 peas. The cabbage was bland and there was no plantain available. I also ordered a beef pattie hoping that at least one thing would taste good. NOPE. Best thing I had was the ginger beer, which they didn't make. Waste of money read more

The food is just ok one of the workers Attitude is through the roof I'd rather drive 10 mins down the road to Golden krust

The food was under seasoned. Definitely have had better. No passion in this environment. Can definitely tell it wasn't cooked with love. This is what most restaurants are missing these days. read more

Great food for the price. The staff was friendly. Will definitely treat myself here again.

I love the food here!! The workers are also very polite and make you feel comfortable and almost at home. Three Thumbs Up!!

2 highway signs (expensive rent) put our expectations high. Small joint tucked into a strip mall / gas station. Long line of locals so we also expected good. It almost delivered 4 stars, but no Jerk anything on the line, and no fresh plantains. Curry Chicken was very good though. Stew beef, not as much. read more

I've been in Atlanta for six years and I've tried a few Jamaican spots and this place tops them all! The staff is friendly and they give you more than enough food. My daughter mentioned that she had never had ox tails before and the owner's mother was working at the front counter and gave her a take home sample. So, sweet! I also like it because they're very clean! read more

I stopped in for a take out order. There was only one cashier/server because it's a small place. No big deal, right? Her attitude was rude. I was put off by her lack of interest. I ordered rice and beans, to go. The rice was dry as were the beans. The beans were so dry, they were shriveled, which indicates the food was cooked very early in the morning or the day before. Totally gross. Either way we had to wash each bite down with a drink. To top it off, the food lacked seasoning. A like salt goes a long way. After a few bites, we both threw the food away. It was a total waste of money and food. If the food was good, I could look past the cleanliness of this establishment. The place is old and the floors and decor resemble that. The place needs the floors to be stripped and waxed and new paint on the walls. Decluttering of the wires and tv boxes need to be doing as well. read more
