Located in Panorama Hills in North Calgary, this dim sum restaurant with a ballroom setting served above average dim sum plates. It is located in the suburbs and a bit far from the actual Calgary Chinatown, but it came with ample parking and prices with the high quality food were simply unbeatable (Small: 5.95, Medium: 6.75, Large: 7.35 CAD). No carts, but dim sum is served all the way up to 3pm. We came just before 2pm and were seated immediately. The restaurant was huge and very easy-going at this particular time. We ordered the classics off a paper slip -- shrimp rice roll, siumai, har gow, turnip cake, ham sui gok, etc. -- and were blown away at the portion size which were on the larger end of the spectrum. They certainly do not skimp on the filling. For instance, the siumai and har gow contained very plumply-sized shrimp. Flavor was spot on as well. The hot tea was complimentary which is unusual from my parts. When we finished ordering, they even brought out a complimentary dessert which was a slightly sweet agar type thing. What a great end to a short and sweet visit to Calgary! We even had so much food to take back through airport security. The parents were much pleased with the leftovers. read more

my brother and I came here before we had to leave for the airport. I found this place on Yelp and based on the photos, the food looked fairly decent. I didn't have high hopes because I'm used to NYC dim sum. first, they didn't have carts. it was all marked off on cards and then delivered to you as it's made? or warmed in the kitchen haha. second, it doesn't all come out at once like I was hoping it would, but that's all me. when our first dish came out, I didn't have high hopes, but I was really surprised by how good it was. the one dish that took me out was the beef rice crepes. and yes, I will go into detail as to what makes up a bad beef rice crepe lol because no one asked. a bad beef rice crepe will typically consist of one or multiple things - first the rice crepe itself is too thick. second, the beef filling isn't the correct consistency. a good beef rice crepe has that smooth ground beef. third, the fillings they put into the beef do matter. I like a little crunch (lotus root) and don't mind cilantro either. do I sound a little pretentious about my beef rice crepes? 100% but you know what. a good beef rice crepe makes all the difference. anyway, their beef rice crepe is really good. not my #1, but it's up there! the skin was thin and the beef was silky deliciousness on my tongue. I wouldn't recommend their beef triple though. there were a lot of pieces I felt were a little too hard and rubbery. my brother got some shrimp dumplings and the shrimp rice crepe to go so he could have it for dinner. their shrimp was well cooked & juicy for sure! this was such a great way to end our weekend trip to Calgary after hiking in the national parks. honestly, we just kept talking about how dim sum would be so good after our hikes. this place truly did not disappoint. it's located near the airport too! read more

It is a great place to visit when you are in Calgary. This is a bit out of the way from the 'real' Chinatown area in Calgary. They have a nice variety of dim sum dishes you can try. Super delicious food. I would try to get a few more main course dishes so it can fill up your stomach over those smaller dim sum dishes. I am not quite sure why don't more people visit this place since it has great tasting food. The people who actual deliver the food aren't as personable so don't mind this. The workers are just too busy doing their work. The decor of the place looks eloquent and great for bringing smaller and larger groups to meet up. We would definitely visit the restaurant if we came back in town. You won't be disappointed. read more

Came here on Sunday at around 130p for dim sum. Every since it opened we've been wanting to come. Restaurant is quite spacious, bright and everything was very clean. It looked like they cater to large groups like wedding receptions. It was quite busy and it took a bit for someone to help us and get us a table. Dim Sum here you order off a sheet and they come by. We ordered our usual favourites like har gow, jar leung, and beef balls. The spare ribs were particularly good as was the shrimp in rice crepe. We also ordered snow tip leaves and the family really enjoyed that - it was in a little bit of soup which was great. The custard buns we had for dessert were enormous and tasty. We ordered about 12 dishes and packed some home. Service was slow as can be expected but very friendly. If you're comfortable having to flag someone down whenever you need something then you'll be fine. Will definitely come back. read more

A pretty descent dim sum restaurant. It's nicely decorated and can hold banquets giving the Chinatown restaurants a run for it's money. I also noticed there are tables equipped for individual hot pot. However, we were there for dim sum only. We arrived around 1 and there was no line up to get a table for 2. The food was good except for the Xia Long Bao (which is store bought and not made in house). The other dishes we ordered were good especially the rice rolls. It's is in the deep NW/NE in panorama. This was a far drive for us coming from the Chinook mall area. However, it is a restaurant I would take my family to because it is better than some restaurants in Chinatown. New dimsum place in Panorama Hill area. We tried it on their 4th day of their grand opening. The food are good except for their harkaw which the pastry is a little too thick from what we normally like. The manager is so friendly and take our feedback about the harkaw and mentioned they will improve their food by gathering the feedback from their customer. Overall their dimsum are amazing, I wish they have more option as they have quite many thing on their menu that not available. I'll highly recommended their bun with salted egg custard and their egg tart. They are amazing! Their vegetables (snow pea leaves) also great, quite different with the normal snow pea leaves that we normally have in another restaurant but the taste and it cooked to perfection. read more
