Newly opened dim sum restaurant near the County Hills Blvd Superstore. Covid safety protocols are in place. The tables are spaced more than the minimum 6 apart and all the staff are masked, even the kitchen staff. Their dim sum list is extensive and the quintessential items like shrimp dumplings and siu mai are very good. Their fried noodles are rice are ten notches above all the other restaurants nearby. There was so much wok hei (smoky flavor) in the noodles and rice we ordered which is so lacking everywhere else. The prices are fair and the portions are generous. We tried take out too and the food was still really good. My family will be dining here more often after covid and at least getting take out on a regular basis.

Well, I'm in love with Aroma Dim Sum! Thank goodness another dim sum place has opened up in NW Calgary. We ordered dim sum for takeout. We ordered: - Steamed Shrimp Dumpling ( har kow) - Steamed Pork and Shrimp Dumpling ( siu mai) - Deep fried Taro Pork Dumpling ( wu kok) - Shrimp Rice Rolls - Fish Roe and Scallop Dumpling - Deep Fried Salt & Pepper Capelin Fish All items ordered were so good! We walloped the dim sum in 20 mins! Sorry forgot to take pictures. Lol Next time, will order their cooked food. NB 10% off if you pickup

All squid were fried into a huge lump!

Run, *away. Lazy cooking techniques, incorrect items. Calgary, step your game up. Salt & pepper squid - over done, spotty seasoning all don't compare to being fused into a huge inedible mass - didn't separate each piece into the frier and didn't agitate while cooking. Shanghai buns were plain dumplings and chili oil even lacked color. Can't stand when restaurants take advantage of people due to location.... Only dim sum in the area. This is embarrassing for the Chinese community.

Food was lacking flavors, service was good and convenient location for me. Not a destination restaurant but will stop by if close

We were having a late start for work and wanted to eat good before getting started. Dim Sum comes…read moreto mind often. Silver Dragon offers a unique experience having some dishes not carried in the united States. And the prices were cheap. Everything is moving fast too especially with a group the knows what they want. I think it made it confusing to the cart ladies trying to listen to everyone speaking at the same time but they provided correct answers. Everything was well done and presented. We got shrimp and pork shumai, pork buns, baked pork buns, egg custards, short ribs, etc. All in all we picked up about 20 dishes. That came to about $200 Canadian dollars, about $137 American dollars. With prices like that the thought of moving to Canada is real. However, the cold winter snow prevents me entertaining that thought at length.

Yelpers need to step it up in Calgary. Only 171 reviews when Google has almost 2,400 reviews?…read more Silver Dragon was the most reviewed and highest rated dim sum restaurants in Calgary. I'm not sure why. The siu mai was mushy. The har gow was okay. The beef rice noodle roll was tasteless. My wife didn't like it. The tofu skin roll (sin jook goon) was not very good either. We only ordered 4 dishes because what we ordered was not good. We didn't want to order anything else. The worst dimsum place in the San Gabriel Valley is better than this place. Not a fan of this place. They might be better for dinner? Non dimsum? Service was better than the food.
