We would always come the weekend before otherwise it was too crowded to get to the top of the hill where PawPaw is laid to rest. I recently visited in late May of 2025 and the place is terribly unkept and filled with trash. So many of the flower vases have been destroyed and headstones filthy from their attempts at keeping what is left of grass, cut down. It has crossed my mind to move her over to where my parents are in Oakland but it's probably cost prohibitive. Yes, this place can be hard to find and it is all Chinese here. I'm so sad for how this place is supposed to be serene and instead it's just gross. Where is the respect? If there was an office around, I'd tell them to clean up their act.

This is a Asian, or predominantly Chinese. It was very hard for me to find the address for this place and it is some what hidden. This place doesn't really have an address I can look up anywhere. The tomb stone gets pretty dirty from the cut grass. Once a year there's buses that comes from Oakland and San Francisco to this cemetery. This is the day our family, if we love each other or not gather and pay respect to our beloved grandmother. This year (2011) it landed on Easter Sunday. I always miss the day where everyone gather far and wide, good thing is this year it landed on a holiday. There are also a few other cemetery in the same or around the same place as well. I haven't been to any of the other ones but they are, Chinese Christian Cemetery, Hoy Sun Ning Yung Cemetery and Cypress Law Memorial Park is just across the street. If you are going to map this place out the map, the entrance is on Longford Dr. Once you reach the end of the road turn right to Tung Sen and if you go right it is Hoy Sun Ning Yung Cemetery. Hope this help. This place been here for years and I can't find it a few years back so I decided to put it on the map for some Yelpers.

They valet park your car in the lot, very efficiently and tightly by who goes out first, such as the family members, then pallbearers, etc. The service started around 12 Noon and ended on time about 1:29 pm. Our aunt and uncle went out in style, as the Green Street Mortuary Brass Band performed near the end of the service, as well as outside when the caskets were brought out, down a path in Chinatown with a motorcade. Then the motorcade guided us towards the cemetery for interment. Everything was done on time.

From the beginning the empathy and compassion that was shown to me by Jefferson, Elaine, and Hilda exceeded my expectations. They were so thoughtful and caring. Right away they showed me how to get less expensive Urns and went into detail about all of my option. They took so much time with me. They were so patient throughout the process and not trying to rush me with anything. I appreciated that so much. My mom's situation was complicated because I wanted to put a video I created and pictures. They helped me out with all of it. Their attention to detail meticulous. My mom would be so happy with what I chose I only wish she were here so I could see her reaction. It was all her and they made every inch of that possible. I cannot stress enough that if you do have a loved one who passed come here. I guarantee you and your loved one will not be dissapointed. Funeral arrangements are always supposed to be dreaded and upsetting this was the reverse they were so kind, thoughtful, patient, empathetic, compassionate it made the whole experience a beautiful one. Thank you again for creating exactly what my mom would have wanted. I know she is looking down on us smiling.

Obviously this is emotional, my mom died. I was referred to…read moreTulip and at first they were super. I had a specific outreach person to go to, they were kind and explained to me what would happen. They said I could get the death certificates myself, or they could do it but it would take six weeks. When she died on 12/14 they were contacted and i was told she would be cremated within a couple weeks. around 12/18 i got an email that she had been intaken and the cremation would happen within a couple weeks. the next monday I got a notification from USPS that she was being delivered that week, in the middle of the holidays, well before i was emotionally prepared for it. I called Tulip and got a lot of apologies, they assume the Crematorium wanted to get it done before the holiday; i did not appreciate it. then, although i did all the paperwork correctly, the county sent back my request for death certificates. not Tulip's fault, but when i said i'd just wait six more weeks at this point and could they please do it, is when they let me know there was a $100 charge. I asked if they wouldn't wave it, since they sent my mom's ashes early, during the holidays, and they said no they couldn't. considering i'd already given them so much money and they'd made my holiday's worse, it would have been really kind and i would not be here writing this negative review. find someone who cares to take care of your loved one, this company only cares about money. oh they also told me they had resources for the bereved, but it's just a page of articles. google is better.

Losing a parent is incredibly hard, but they handled everything with such a high level of dignity and grace that it truly eased some of the burden for us. Communication: From the very first call, I felt heard and supported. They were incredibly patient with all of my questions and kept me updated every step of the way, which gave me so much peace of mind. The Process: I found their approach to be very modern, transparent, and straightforward. There was never any pressure or "salesy" feeling, just genuine empathy and a focus on what my mother and our family needed. The Memorial: They helped us navigate the details for her memorial with so much respect. Everything was handled professionally, allowing us to focus on honoring her memory rather than worrying about the logistics. I am so grateful to have had their guidance during this time. If you are looking for a team that treats your loved ones with true honor and provides a seamless, compassionate experience, I cannot recommend them highly enough. I also really appreciated the honesty in their business model. I know it could technically be cheaper if they did every single thing in-house, but they intentionally use outside sources for certain steps to ensure everything is handled by specialists. I actually felt like I got more value this way because I knew I was getting the best possible care at every stage. It's also worth noting for other families that they don't have an embalming service; they focus purely on a dignified, natural process which was exactly what we wanted for my mom. I am so grateful to have had their guidance during this time. If you are looking for a team that treats your loved ones with true honor and provides a seamless, compassionate experience, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you, Honor Cremation, for taking such wonderful care of my mom.

Customer service: 5/5 Value: 3.5/5 Execution: 5/5 From a service standpoint, they excellent. The team is available 24 hours via phone and text. For the majority of my work with them, they were extremely responsive, had good pass downs between shifts and team members, and worked to meet all our needs and timelines. They never pressured us into anything or upsold us. They just wanted to support whatever we needed. My family needed an expedited cremation and memorial all within a week of my family member passing and Honor Cremations was able to make that happen and get the paperwork done with the county in that timeframe. Honor's paid casket option was cheaper than other crematories and was a very nice, presentable casket. Honor does not embalm in house but has embalming providers they can work with. The only reason I would hesitate to select Honor again is because other crematories were more cost effective (up to $1000 cheaper for our package selections), but Honor did what they could to reduce costs and provide flexible options and offerings. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others if service and empathy is a top priority.
