We serendipitously ran into Henry Deng, a fellow St.Mary's alum, when we were purchasing a tombstone for my late Father. He was so friendly and helpful, and even gave us a small discount. He's taken great care to make sure that my family's tombstones were all created/updated with great detail and care, and shared the progress along the way. We could not be happier with the results over our many visits since early February! read more

The Deng's have taken care of not only my immediate family but my extended family as well for as long as I can remember. Although grieving and mourning during these difficult times, Henry has comforted and guided me through this process which no one wants to go through but has to go through. In regards to the engravings, they came out the way wanted and envisioned it to be. I appreciated the courtesy, and overall help from them. Will be recommending my friends! read more

Golden Hill Monument was great to work with. I was recommended to contact Henry, the owner, to take care of my parent's gravestone. He helped me with my parents photos, Chinese characters, and artwork. We were also very satisfied with the other services performed on the installation of the gravestone. Happy with the work performed and would highly recommend them! read more

I checked out few monument shops for a headstone for my dad. I came across with Henry Deng at Golden Hill. Henry is super friendly and easy to work with. Henry patiently explained to me all the options on the headstone, the base, vases and plate; and he offered the best price compared to other shops. I asked to install it after 2023 Chinese new year. Henry has been communicating with me since I put in my order in September 2022. When I paid visit to my dad's, the headstone is very well made, and beautiful. read more

Golden Hill Monument was recommended to me so I made an appointment to meet with Henry. I found that he was very knowledgeable on the Chinese characters etched on the gravestone when my father passed away many years ago. He made suggestions and we took the e one that made it consistent with the characters etched for my father. We were also very satisfied with remaining services performed on the reconditioning of the gravestone. Happy with the work performed and would highly recommend them! read more

I had some monument maintenance work done by these folks (Henry specifically). He was responsive to my inquiries. The job was performed promptly (within 2 weeks of contract date). The quoted price was 1/2 of the other competitors. read more

Don't waste your time looking around for another service. Confidently go ahead and work with Golden Hill Monument cause they give you the best price and service. They truly care about you and your feelings and are willing to accommodate your time and even money limits and constraints. I worked directly with Henry in September 2021. They make the process easy and hassle free. Henry was not even in rush to get the money, he delivered the marker to the memorial park and sent me a picture and then when I followed up about the rest of the payment he gave me the option of sending him a check by mail. When we told the memorial park that Golden Hill Monument is our vendor, they also mentioned that Golden His is a reliable vendor and they work with them often. Some time around Christmas I sent a picture of the marker to Henry to ask him how I could fix a minor scratch on the picture (I was just looking for some advice like a special marker or something) and what he did was he arranged to have the photo replaced to a brand new one without even me following up on that. So, I would highly recommend Golden Hill Monument, and I should say I did check 10+ vendors before I decided to work with them, and I would choose them again. Thank you Henry and the team! read more

After a really bad experience with another tombstone company, I found Henry at Golden Hill Monument. Henry was great to work with! He has GREAT communications skills and very easy to work with. He showed us some options for headstones and we were able to select which one we wanted. We also showed him the Chinese lettering we wanted for my grandma's tombstone. The finished product was awesome. His team of workers did the job as requested and the quality was great. The Chinese lettering came out sharp looking and legit. His prices were reasonable and very efficient and quick turn around as well. If you're reading this, don't waste your time with other tombstone vendors that you have to chase after for status updates. Henry and his team will get the job done. Henry, thank you for your help and great work! We appreciate it. read more

Working with Golden Hill Monument for our masonry and headstones was very easy and simple process, it was a very tough situation with our family suddenly to have gone through a loss and we didn't know what to do but Henry and his team were able to give us a lot of great recommendations on what to choose on the different types of stones and styles. They also had great pricing and was able to meet our deadlines. He was also able to refer over a great team for our estate services from lawyers, to contractors and realtors. I am so lucky to have found this place. Golden Hill Monument has a lot of styles, designs and beautiful quality granite to choose from. They have their own factory and could finish the job fast. What I love about Golden Hill Monument is that they are not limited to just Chinese and English, they also inscribe many other languages. Everyone here was really helpful and attentive. Overall, they made the process easy, simple and stress free. I highly recommend this place! read more

Picking a headstone is an arduous responsibility, given the difficult situation. Thankfully, Henry and Joe were very kind and understanding of what we were going through, and considerately walked us through the entire process. Out of many stone material choices and unique cultural and religious designs, with their expertise we were able to finally decide on a very befitting gravestone. They're also expert calligraphists, and the Chinese and English inscriptions they inscribed for us were very beautiful. I'd like to thank Henry and Joe very much for all the help they've given my family. Their masonry work was far superior compared to other cemetery packages that we were looking at, and at a far more modest price. I was relieved to know that they do restoration work as well. The tombstone that they crafted for us gratified a lot of our family members at ease. They really soothed this portion of a difficult time for us. read more

I recommended Henry to my Sifu after his wife's passing. Henry's knowledge and service did not disappoint. Out of the many stone options and various cultural, religious and calligraphy symbols to choose from, Henry took the time to explain and customize the final product to the family's needs. Not only was the masonry top notch, but Henry made the tomb stone selection process as smooth and timely as possible. What traditionally can be an arduous process, Henry is able to streamline each step cost effectively. The final product, both front and back, was robust and detailed yet executed in a modest and simple fashion. I recommend Henry and Golden Hill Monument to anyone who wants to commemorate their loved one. The experience and execution was tremendous. read more

They are so professional . everything is so prefect. they are patient and make you feel so comfortable. they worth 5 stars. i definitely recommend them read more

I have been very happy with Golden Hill every step from beginning to end. I first chose this place because they were the only one, or one of few opened Sundays. I normally like to get several estimates for something expensive but since Henry Deng provided great service, price options, and was patient and professional, I trusted him. Making a stone for my mother was an emotional process and I didn't want to go from place to place comparing prices. I told him that I was hoping to have it completed and set in before Chinese New Year so he expedited the process even though it was the holidays. He was very responsive with emails and text. When they delivered to the cemetary, we didn't know the placement contract and fee wasn't taken care of with the Cemetary but Henry worked it out with them on our behalf so that he wouldn't have to redeliver, charge extra or cause delays. We really appreciated it. read more

I believe Henry is the son of the owner and he is great! My grandma asked to do the tombstone for my grandpa pretty last minute apparently, but Henry was so nice enough to accommodate everything right on time! He even gave us a small discount when my grandma was asking really last minute to build the tombstone in. He's also really good at communicating back really fast, so that's not a problem at all. I would definitely recommend Golden Hills! (: read more

When a beloved family member passed, we had to get through a long list of tasks related to funeral planning and burial services. Although it was our first time having to create a headstone, Henry made the process easy for us. He was very thorough and was able to help us design a beautiful headstone for our relative. There were many options in designs, whether it was flowers or religious/cultural symbols. Before the headstone was finalized, we were given a draft to double-check wording. Luckily for us, they have an office in SF Chinatown which made it easy for us to keep in contact with them, rather than us having to drive out to Colma. Thanks to Golden Hill for making an important part of a difficult time simple. read more

Our family decided to go through Golden Hill Monument Corporation for picking a headstone to commemorate our loved ones that passed away. We did all of our business through Henry where he was very helpful in helping us meet our needs for the design and gave us a very good price deal compared to other companies in the area. He was very attentive to detail and made sure that all of our wants and needs were met when he presented us with the various design options (color, font, pictures, quotes etc). Golden Hill had a selection of products in stock and manufactured them on their own without having the hassle of dealing with the middle men. They also provided us with the proper paper work directly in regards to the plots at the cemetery so we processed everything through them with no need to go to the cemetery. The stone was made in a very timely fashion and was placed at Holy Cross cemetery a few weeks after our order was placed. Thank you for the beautiful work. read more
