Pierre was absolutely wonderful throughout the whole process of choosing, designing and ordering our daughter's headstone. She was 16 when she passed and I felt like Pierre was extra sensitive to us and what we were/are still going through. UNSCRUPULOUS! DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU CHERISH YOUR LOVED ONES! Negative 100 stars! Alex took our money and took advantage of us during our time of grief to get our father's headstone done. My brother and I had contracted Bocci to do the inscription on my Father's headstone in October 2018 to be finished in March 2019. In April 2019 we go visit the gravesite only to find nothing has been done on the headstone. My brother immediately goes to the office to talk to Alex, he couldn't because the doors are locked. He thinks that's odd to be closed. He decides to go visit on a weekday around 1pm and the doors are still locked. He leaves a voicemail messages and send email. He never got any response back. In May my brother is trying all month to contact Alex but at this time the voicemail is full he cannot leave a message, and he still does not get any response to his emails. He decides to go visit a few times in May on different days and times and each time the doors are locked and the area where they work on the headstones is empty. Leaving us to think he is no longer in business and we are out of the money we paid him. Early June I contact "7 on Your Side" to see if we can get our money back in some way. After a couple days the person at "7 on Your Side" said it looks like they are no longer in business because they also could not leave a voicemail, the fax number did not work, there was no response to emails and he went to the office only to find the doors locked. He says, unfortunately, we will have to find someone else to do the inscription. So on 6/15/2019 my brother and I go to another company to contract them to do the inscription. Then on 6/16/2019, out of the blue, my brother gets a text to "confirm the inscription" we initial gave them with no explanation of why we could not get a hold of them for over 2 months. At that time we told Alex EMPHATICALLY to stop any and all work on the headstone because we hired another company to do the work since for the past 2 months we could not get a hold of them; and he was in breach of the contract because the work was supposed to be done in March 2019. (As a few other reviewers mention, contract dates mean nothing to him). The owner said "OK" so we thought we didn't have to worry about my Father's headstone. I also emailed "7 on Your Side" to let them know Alex contacted us and that we told Alex to stop and could we somehow get our money back. The next day, 6/17/2019, I get a call from "7 on Your Side" saying they were finally able to get a hold of someone at Bocci and they said they were currently working on the headstone. WTF!!! We told Bocci "DO NOT DO ANY WORK ON THE HEADSTONE." I call my brother to tell him what's going on and he calls Alex, telling him he told him the day before to stop all work and to tell his worker to stop. Alex said he would go up there to tell his worker to stop. My brother did not trust Alex so he left work (in San Jose) to hurry up there to make sure they are not doing anything. I also called a half hour later and Alex still did not tell his worker to stop.(His office is only 2 minutes from the cemetery.) In desperation I said he could keep the money if he stopped, but he NEVER STOPPED. I should get my money back. Alex NEVER told his worker to stop despite being told multiple times to stop. My brother got to my Father's gravesite just in time to stop Bocci's worker. The worker had just glued on the stencil for the inscription (we NEVER APPROVED THE INSCRIPTION AND IT WAS WRONG) and was about to start sandblasting the headstone when my brother got there to stop him and told him to stop and take off all the stencils. He also told the worker he had told Alex the day before stop any work. Alex obviously had no intention of stopping the work. Later I called the cemetery to tell them the issue we were having with Bocci and to make sure Bocci does not do anything to the headstone. I was told Bocci never checked in with the cemetery office for the work they were going to do on the headstone. Checking in with the cemetery for any work onsite is protocol every memorial company knows to do. The cemetery revoked their permit to work on my father's headstone, the person in charge was mad with Bocci and said she will go over and talk to him. Not only did Alex ignore my brother and my direct instruction to stop any and all work relating to my Father's headstone, he violated the cemetery protocol to check-in to essentially vandalize my Father's headstone. And we are out of the money we gave him along with the added grief knowing he was going to vandalize my Father's headstone. For the next couple weeks I went to my Father's gravesite to make sure nothing had been done to it. (As for any "positive reviews" notice they only show up after a bad review. Suspicious. Most likely friends writing to try to raise the review rate.) read more

I am trying to come up with something less brutal to say but I am out of words. First he blames the weather, than he blamed the suppliers, after that it was the rules and regulations. Oh and in between it was cold, sore throat, etc, I don't recall all the excuses. What really frustrates me is that my family lost a loved one and now has to deal with this horrible person. I've been work with Alex on family memorial. We agreed in contract that the work would be done in March 2019 before Ching Ming. It's now June and the work has not even started. Been trying to call him and email Alex, with no reply. Recently I tried calling Alex but cannot leave a message since his voice box is now FULL. Trying going to the office last weekend and the office was closed. Took the day off today to try to goto the office on a weekday, office still closed. Only thing I saw was the shop cat in the office. Alex and his team were amazing. I stopped by his office at the end of February. We had decided to replace the entire headstone on my Parent's grave. He even gave us a discount. We chose the style color and the font typeset. . The quality of the work was excellent. Work was done exactly as we wanted, beautful job. He delivered as promised in a timely manner. We contacted them in February 2021 because we wanted my mom's name, birth date and date of death added to the current headstone of my father's. FINALLY Alex answered the phone and set up an appointment for 4/7/2021 at 11 am at Holy Cross Cemetery. My sister has been there waiting since 10:30 am and it is now 11:33 and still no Alex. Not even a call to her cell phone which he has her number. Do not use them. If this is the way they want to treat customers they don't deserve our business or yours. I went to Bocci memorials to get my family stone restored and to have a date added to the stone . Let me just start by saying Roman and Alex both assured me it would be repainted and sealed properly. It came out terrible. The stone looked like nothing had been done to it. I took pictures of it and called Alex and Roman to voice my concerns, they were supposed to send someone to touch it up but that was never done. We went recently to visit the stone and it still looks the same. faded, unsealed, paint on flags is chipped and looks like a child did it. I immediately went to Bocci but the door was locked and the voicemails to both numbers on the door were full. I've sent several emails and have continuously tried to contact them for weeks. At this point I'm feeling scammed and taken advantage of. I paid over $1000 and I can't even get a hold of anyone or a call back. What kind of company conducts business this way?? Please be aware! This business is a scam. He pretends to sell custom cemetery headstones and takes peoples deposits and spends the cash. He never actually orders the stone from the suppliers or fulfills the majority of his orders. His contract says he is not responsible for delays and his customers feel helpless as he keeps blaming COVID for the delay in supply/shipping. There is a whole group of people who have fallen victim to this business. I am shocked he is still allowed to operate. No one should have to go to through this. I don't know how the owner sleeps at night knowing he is ripping off grieving people who have handed him their savings for a sacred headstone for their lost loves ones. We paid a $7000 deposit for a cemetery headstone in Jan of 2020, and still nothing. The normal time to receive and install a custom stone from overseas is 3-4 months. Due to COVID, all vendors on his street have experienced a delay and are getting the job done in to 6-8 months, but this company still doesn't have our stone almost 2 years later and can't even provide an estimated completion date. He refuses to give a refund and doesn't show up at the office or return calls. Two other vendors I spoke to in our area while shopping for a different stone have had an influx of clients who are in the same situation as we are, and have ordered new stones from them because it has become apparent that the one they bought from Bocci Memorial will never be completed. read more

When we were there to order the headstone, I asked what they have in storage already, and loved one of the colors.
