I have been to this place since it's Initial opening and I have to say the decline is immense. From its first opening. It used to be a place with average service but good quality food and fair pricing. Now it is a complete and Uther failure. The food is no longer good. The prices have increased dramatically and the service has gotten next level bad. The latest time I took takeout will be my last. Theyve gotten so cheap that they cannot even use a proper lid for a takeout box for a baked rice as seen in the picture. We ordered takeout from here a couple of days ago and it was pretty good! I called in my order and there was a bit of miscommunication with the menu and some language barriers but we managed. Unfortunately one item was misunderstood and we received something different but it was still good. We ordered the beef with flat rice noodles and the baked pork chop on rice but requested it with chicken. We ended up getting the half/half cream sauce/tomato sauce with chicken and pork. I think I confused her when I asked for chicken however it is on the menu as baked pork chop OR chicken. Maybe it's just not a common request. Anyways, it was still pretty good, the pork chop and chicken were both tender, the rice was slightly golden in colour, I do wish it was a bit more fried rice-like. There was lots of sauce and cheese. The cream sauce had a distinct coconut flavour which was a bit odd but not entirely unpleasant. The beef noodles were great, gigantic portion, steaming hot and plenty of wok hei. We ordered cold lemon tea for our drinks, cold drinks were $1 extra, but it was worthwhile. The tea was made to order and it was perfectly sweet, lemony and not at all bitter. Prices were really affordable which is part of the HK cafe appeal. I think for the two dishes plus the drinks it came out to less than $35 and we both had plenty of leftovers. Value is definitely there. Overall it's a good option for HK cafe food in Aurora. Most of these restaurants are opening in Newmarket so this is a good option closer to home. Personally I feel that there are better choices in Newmarket but for proximity/value/taste I will definitely order from here again. Came here on a weekend before noon and there was already a long line up. Someone ended up leaving and gave us their spot so we got our table quicker than we thought. However, the lady who took us to our table kept on saying she didnt know anything about the menu and asked us to ask the owner. When we were about to order, she said she cant take orders so we had to wait for the owner again. The owner appeared to be the ONLY person who knew about the menu and ONLY person to take orders. To be quite honest, they should train the staff because we waited a whole 10-15 mins just to order. Food was great and prices are decent but it just turns away your customers. A hidden local spot in Aurora that you definitely must visit if you're looking for authentic Canto/HK dishes. You know when a place is good is when people are willing to line up for almost an hour to be seated. So be warned, if you plan to come during dinner on a weekend, be expected to wait almost an hour as 6-7:30pm is the busiest time. They also get a lot of takeout orders - you can hear the wok consistently going on in the kitchen (it's busy!) One thing that stood out to me was the overall service and friendliness of the staff here. At usual Chinese restaurants I've visited, usually the workers are just whatever (what I expect), but the servers I've spoken with are attentive, and friendly. Their menu consists of the many HK cafe classics that runs all day, HK curry dishes, HK classic dishes, friend noodles and sizzling plates. The best part is, most of the dishes comes with soup and a drink as well. We ordered the Salted Fish Chicken Fried Rice & Beef Stir Fried Rice Noodle. Both dishes came in huge portions, and both dishes tasted great. The Salted Fish Chicken Fried Rice had many pieces of salted wish, and the Rice Noodle had lots of beef slices. But most important, both dishes had a strong "Wok-hay" taste which is what I expect. We chose the tomato soup and was surprised how big the portion of the soup was too. I got the hot Honey Lemon Tea and was also surprised that they were generous with the honey because it tasted pretty sweet. A lot of Hk cafes and Chinese restaurants usually cheap out on the honey. I dropped in yesterday to check it out around noon. The place was super busy and no seating available. The noise of people talking to each other was really uncomfortable , Ive never experienced such a volume like this, there is no way I could dine here. I was greeted most politely by staff and I requested a takeout menu. They dont have any just plastic ones for the tables. She told me to take pictures of it. I'm sorry I cannot comment on the food as I would never eat in an establishment that is so uncomfortably loud. Since they don't have a takeout menu I will be unable to taste there food in the peace and quiet of my home. Too bad for me I'm sure. I read the reviews on Yelp and YouTube before giving this new restaurant a try. Most of the comments appear to be related to the operating efficiency when a restaurant just opens. We then decided to go after lunch, before dinner, to try out their tea menu, hoping that it's less busy and should still have enough food to sell. And we were right. Although there was still some people waiting ahead of us at around 3pm on a Saturday, we were seated pretty quickly since there were just the two of us. We ordered a bite size French toast $7.99, a baked pork chop with red and white sauce on fried rice $12.99, and a black pepper ham stir fried pasta $11.99. All came with a drink, we ordered one iced milk tea $1, and 2 hot lemon tea. We didn't have to wait long for the dishes. First we tried the black pepper ham pasta. It is really good! You can visibly see the black pepper and taste the black pepper, the green onion, onion, and bean sprout are on the raw side and give a nice crunch / different texture to the pasta. I also like that they use ham steak but not the thinly sliced ham. The ham steak is so juicy and tender too! Overall a very nicely executed dish. Then we tried the two sauce baked rice. The red sauce is a bit sweet to my liking, and the white sauce, guess what, is has a hint of coconut to it! Which is definitely different from the traditional hk style restaurant white sauce. I can't say I'm totally digging it, but it's just special and different and not bad. The portion is also good for its price. I feel like each table also order this. Lastly we tried the bite size French toast. There are a total of 9 big cubes of fluffy, soft, egg soaked French toast drizzled with condensed milk. No PB inside, but yes it's very good. Very nice way to end the meal with this evil dessert. We also ordered a scallion chicken rice $13.99 with borscht and milk tea as a takeout. Overall, I enjoy the meal a lot. The restaurant interior feels bright and clean, seating is not too too crowded with some booths on the side and tables in the middle. Staff are friendly. Food taste good and portion is good for its price. The menu looks more extensive and diverse compared to other cha Chan tang in the area so I'd definitely be back to try out other items. read more

Very excited a new HK cafe open in Aurora! Tried it and food is good. One start missing because they ran out of stir fry beef flat noodle. When you are craving for something and they told you they sold out of it, it was very disappointing. And one of the waitress was very rude(with glasses), we were asking her something and she just walked away while we were still talking. No response or follow up from her, it like we were just talking to the air. Others service is good. We understand it was busy but the customer service can be better than this. read more
