I asked them to install a tankless water heater. The plumber did a fantastic job installing the water heater. Except, as a plumber, he didn't do electric work. He used an extension cord running to the back yard to plug it in, said the job was good and asked for payment. We didn't pay him because the electrical work wasn't finished, nor did we receive the permit as part of the job. The next day, I had to call them about the electrical work. It hadn't been scheduled, and the job had been marked as finished. They did send out an electrician to install the electrical outlet. The work was great. Again, the electrician asked for payment. I reminded them that the permit was still outstanding. The next day, they had my credit card number on file for a different job, and just used that number to charge for the work. But the job wasn't finished. I paid them a good amount of money, that they charged me for to get the permit for the work. For three weeks I have been trying to contact them to finish the work. In the past, you could talk to someone. Now, every time I call, I get a AI service rep that sends me to voice mail. I have left many, many voice mails, and I have never gotten a call back. I did get a call back from Hank, the AI agent, who then again sent me to a voice mail. Honestly, it pains me to say that they are not the same company they were a year ago. And now, for the first time in 20 years, I now need to find a more reliable plumber.

My nightmare started when I received an email alert from ACWD about 24-hr continuous water usage as recorded by the water meter suggesting a leak. While i am positive the leak is outdoors, there was no wet spots to be seen. And the leak progressively got worse and worse and went from 7+gal /hr (threshold ACWD use for alerts) eventually to 90+gal/hr just over 3 days. My path back to happiness & serenity began first with a kind ACWD staff member who came to check on the meter to rule out problems on their end and helped pointed out the suspected leak location around the meter (which is next to a lovely, yet evil tree..). After a scheduled leak detection company re-confirmed the spot, Khan's team responded quickly to provide an estimate and was able to quickly work on it. They dug up the area and efficiently repaired two issues: a larger leak in the fire sprinkler line (90+gal / hr) and a smaller, long-term leak (3 gallons/hour) in the house main line that had been draining for over a year. Now my usage report is clean with 0 usage when no water use in house. Khan and his team are professional, fair, prompt, and a true pleasure to work with. They cut out the tree roots causing the issue and replaced the cracked PVC pipes with durable copper lines built to last.
