Last week, after the attack on your community, I was my to send food to the police officers and dispatchers and support staff. Dominoes and Subway refused to help. Pizza Hut initially did but I finally got in touch with a manager and was told the person I talked to was in error. I contacted Golden Chicken and they were happy to take my order and deliver. I later talked to a person at the police department and learned they received much more than the $50 worth of food that I could buy. PLEASE patronize this business. They support you community! I should say that I am a former police officer from Wyoming. I was sickened by what happened and as I learn more, I have become very angry. Please support your officers and don't hold what an administrator did against them. They followed orders that they should not have. It was a terrible situation. read more

How can it take so long to fry chicken? Thank God we weren't there during the lunch rush. It was almost 3:00 and we still waited almost 45 minutes for chicken tenders. The guy who I assume was the manager was just in the way and the only time things ran smoothly was when he disappeared. When the tenders finally came out, some of mine were underdone. I like the chicken tenders from this place; they're the best in town (my opinion). I also like their fried okra, macaroni, and mashed potatoes. So why only a 3 star rating?? Simple; they only accept cash or checks. NO credit cards. Normally, it's not a problem because I'm only ordering for myself so I pay cash. But last night, I was placing a big order for several people, so I decided to use my credit card instead. When I tried handing it to the cashier, he said, "I'm sorry, cash or check only". If you're not going to accept credit cards, you should have a big bill board out in front of your restaurant stating that. The absolute worst service I've had at a golden chic ever! The one I often go to in Waco is 100% better than this place! My husband asked for ranch and the lady told him they were out, as he continued to order the lady in the back let her know they had ranch in the back and the lady at the register shook her head and whispered "just don't worry about it" that's the only way he eats the chicken there & I just find it extremely rude that they would do that. Everything is good there. I love roasted chicken, coleslaw , rolls (addictive, so be careful)and the best fries ever. The owner is very often working in the kitchen so staff is doing great job. It has been remodeled and updated recently so it looks good too. read more

I was traveling to visit my family and we stopped at Golden Chick to enjoy some delicious chicken with a side of southern hospitality. It was 8:50 when we entered the restaurant. Before entering we read that Golden Chick was open until 10:00 pm, as per the sign in their door. While ordering we were told that the restaurant closed at nine and we would have to leave, even though the sign on the front of the door clearly stated that the hours of business lasted until 10. Then we were told that they were out of chicken, tenders, rolls and everything else. I am rating one star because of the subpar customer service. read more
