We had never been to a Golden Chick, so I had no idea what to expect except for chicken HA! The chicken sandwich reminds me of Popeyes except for the sauce, it has a kick of spicy to it. My fries were old, unfortunately, and also the drink machine had no syrup in the Starry so I received an icy cup of carbonation. Thankfully I was still in the drive thru and asked the cashier to please exchange it for another drink. The drive thru menu board volume was very low, and the poor cashier had to keep asking me to repeat myself. I could barely hear her as well. I don't blame her for being frustrated at all. But she tried her best to make sure she got the order correct! read more

Arrive to this location and all lobby doors were locked. We were not able to dine in. We went to the drive thru and said hello in the speaker several times but was ignored. This experience was not professional. As we drove by the window, the young lady with the head set on watched us drive by. How RUDE. read more

First time ordering from golden chick. I got the gold refried chicken! It was delicious! Ms Evette and her crew were super nice and patient, since I've never tried it and could not decide. Definitely will return to the Saginaw location read more

Food was good. Prepared properly and accurate. Friendly staff. Shrimp and catfish were fried just right. Chicken strips were a little bland but added Zing seasoning to spice it up. read more

Inconsistent at its finest....know the difference between dark and white meat...ordered a 8piece mixed...got 4 legs 3 thighs and two wings. What I didnt order at all. Also got tenders that were warm........barely. I would never it's too easy to say we're out or don't have it at the moment. Thinking you blessing me cause my poppers were fresh....almost. Premium price for subpar results. Get it together. Idk about the service if you would still serve that for mixed....you need help. Ambiance...can't ever get in they close the lobby early or at least before the closing time. I spent 60+to be told we will remake the chicken. Sir my whole order is not correct I'm complaining about the obvious. read more

Their websight needs work, beware. The price you think you are getting is not what you are charged. I have complained 3 times and websight still processes wrong. read more

Now, I understand why this location has a 2.1 Yelp rating. Your lobby closes at 9 pm and I pull up at 8:35 pm and the lobby was closed because they were mopping the floor, stated an employee. Mopping the floor is your job, I am not understanding why you shut down the lobby almost 30 minutes early because your mopping the floor when you could've mopped the floor once the lobby closed at 9 pm. With a 2.1 Yelp rating, I am not sure much can improve and I assume management, doesn't care to improve. read more

Service was horrible we were there for10 minutes and they did not acknowledge us one bit.

Well you did it again Golden Chick Saginaw. One order of 2 REGULAR chicken strips w Mac and cheese. And you gave us SPICY after a very long wait. Never fails. Why do I keep coming back here? Because grandchildren like it. read more

Food is good most of the time but they seem to mess my order up anytime I order online. Gave me fries instead of mashed potatoes this time. Tenders were room temperature and not fresh. Disappointing. read more

Bottom line, the chicken at this location is far better than Popeye KFC any other fried chicken restaurant in the the west part of DFW. If you want good crispy on the outside tender on the inside and very favorable chicken this is the place to go. read more

My husband placed our order online and when arrived within 10-15 minutes our order was ready for pickup without issue. The lobby was clean and the staff was friendly. I was greeted within seconds upon arrival and assisted me when the sweet tea was out in the lobby area. Our order was accurate and we had no issues with our food. read more

Food was good. Very understaffed but the folks there were very polite and did their best during the dinner rush. Wait times were long, as to be expected with minimal staff. read more

Golden Chick - Mac n cheese - Fast Food Near Me - Saginaw, Texas

I used to love Golden Chick when I worked nearby to one many years ago. I was surprised to see another fried chicken place open up across from Chick-fil-A and Raising Cane's. So I decided to stop in one day for lunch to get my once favorite chicken salad sandwich. Hit up the drive thru and the person taking the order was friendly. The young lady at the drive thru was clearly flustered but was also friendly enough. I came back to the office and when I saw the cardboard box that contained my sandwich I instantly knew it wasn't going to be the chicken salad sandwich I knew and loved for years. That sandwich had two soft buttery rolls as buns and a thick layer of chicken salad in between. It was wrapped in paper that melded the rolls together. What I received was a stale bun that resembled a roll and split in half. It's just not the same guys. On top of that, I bit on a chicken bone that I luckily did not ingest. But yeah, the fries were fresh and crispy. read more

I ordered food from them last Saturday to dine in. 30 minutes go by and my order isn't ready. It looked like they were only preparing the drive thru orders. There was a couple of women there who were waiting longer than me. I finally go up and ask for a refund. It even took a few minutes for an employee to come up to the counter to do just that. This was ridiculous. read more

charged us extra for food we didn't even order. meal didn't match the receipt. ICE CREAM MACHINE DOESNT WORK

I love the food, but I'm seriously disappointed. I understand being understaffed, but not even being acknowledged after 5 minutes of being inside made us decide to take a trip across the street to Canes. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible! Although the fish is good, the customer service absolutely sucks. Perhaps, it was the bad timing. Waiting for nearly 15 minutes for my food and being made to feel irrelevant when I politely asked how much longer it would be before my order is ready, then being almost run over by a young lady who just came in for her shift....not good. read more

First time eating here and we were impressed. Good affordable food with outstanding service.

Hot and fresh each time we have ordered. One time got the roasted chicken and not very hot but good flavor. Very good okra. Green beans are not very good but all the other sides we have tried were good. Only been through drive through. read more

I love Golden Chick. The food is great and the service (especially on weekend nights) is awesome. Gustavo is super great too!

Completely stale, nasty tatse, not eye appealing at all, jalapeño poppers were very old. Chicken dinner was very dry and old as well. Mashed potatoes had gravy when we requested none, basically like soup. Highly disappointing, will not be returning. Sad because it's new. read more

Placed online order. Left house as restaurant is only 2 miles away, but takes 15 min because of construction. Picked up order in a sealed bag and went home. Took another 15 min because of construction and trains. Opened bag and missing two sides, rolls, and condiments. How f**** hard is it to get an order right? Now going back to talk to manager and get correct order and writing this review as I'm waiting at the train. Will never go back. I'll stick to Lisa's. read more

First time trying this place and pretty disappointing. I ordered the 4 piece tender with mashed potatoes. I get home, open the box and they didn't even use the proper size lids to cover the mashed potatoes, which turn out to not even be mashed potatoes it was just more gravy. So they flipped over what weren't even the correct size lids and set them on top of the containers to cover them. So that was one problem and the other was me not receiving my mashed potatoes. Just two cups of gravy. read more

Someone needs to tell these idiots it's ok to sell frozen rolls. Every other Golden Chick in the metroplex sells them frozen to enjoy at home, but according to the girl at the counter, it's against the law for this location. Don't waste your time. read more

They always screw up my order! I ordered white meat and they gave me dark meat and I also ordered Mac and cheese and they gave me nasty green beans which I don't like. Always rude and always missing items. I was so excited they were opening this close to home, but I have learned that they have some issues going on or something. Great service.. Tried the roasted chicken. WAY too much salt. Hard to taste the chicken through the salt. Decided to compare Golden Chick roasted chicken vs. same product at KFC. Golden chick has 2X the salt of KFC. One meal and you get more than your daily allowance of salt. If you like eating salt, this is the place. read more
