I just came from their big "unveiling." New name. After that, I doubt I'll get my new bike from there. They had a good turnout, but they weren't set up for it. There are was food (for sale--high price), but no tables or chairs ANYWHERE for people to sit. The program took about 45 minutes, outside, in the heat. No water available and again, nowhere to sit. Then they let everyone into the "new" dealership and said to sign up for the new rewards program. We waited in line for 10 minutes before anyone showed up, and then they had nothing set up. Parts were on sale. My husband waited for about 15 minutes for a salesperson to show up, then she couldn't help him because somebody else was in the computer. That's fine. We'll get his $1 exhaust elsewhere Update: We had some work done on my husband's bike here. Thinking about moving to their HOG chapter. The motor clothes sales people were really nice, even though their selection is slim. However, service is a total Charley Foxtrot. There's rarely anyone behind the counter, and when they wander out, they help their buddies first. Also, judging by their big light up sign, they're not very literate. Definitely not somewhere you want to take anything for repair. We dropped off August 15th have had to call and talk to Jeff multiple times to check status on our side by side. We waited 2 weeks for them to get to it for diagnose. A week before seeing what the problem was and to order part, another 2 weeks to call and talk to Steve in service who verified parts there but never communicated to Jeff so they could get going on repair. Called another 2 weeks after to plan and pi k up per our conversation to only get another excuse that now they dont have a gasket seal in the kit they ordered. Here we are October 20th another 2 weeks from that conversation and still not done Still no communication on there end and still no proof of any ordered parts or repairs or diagnoses it was even touched. Since then word of mouth is best referral I spoke with a guy who used to work in there servi e departmemt who quite said it's a joke and they only care to work on there sales customers. Have read multiple bad reviews on there website and have talked to a previous client who took two 4 wheelers in 2 years ago for repair that sat there for months and got fed up and picked them up because never even touched just sat at there lot. I am fed up. Joke for a business. If they can't fix and dont know how just be honest and say that. No point in telling customers you can fix and make a appointment to have your property sit for months at there location in festus. This HD dealer is a solid place to buy and has numerous knowledgeable people to discuss things with. Their prices are very modest and you can tell they go out of their way to maintain your business. Their selection isn't much, but they can and will order anything you want. Their museum is cool but you can tell they've had to contract quite a bit over the years. DO NOT buy a Hisun Strike if you are an adult. I'm 5 ft 2 and I hate this thing! Had it less than 24 hours and had to call the shop several times on issues with it. The brake cable got broken and it had to go back to the shop and be replaced. That's the first day. Kept asking for our money back and kept calling and calling the shop and basically we were put off for the whole week until it went through the finance department. Then we were stuck with the piece of crap. Got it back home because we were stuck with it. The brake cable sticks every single time and we have to go manually pull on the brake cable to release it. It's a lemon and I wish they had the lemon law on it. Since they don't all I can do is WARN everyone else about how awful this thing is. The other thing within a minute of having it upon purchase is it wouldn't even climb a hill, full throttle was less than 10 miles an hour. Finally found out how to take the governor off which did help some. It's nothing but a very expensive go cart maybe for a child if they are short enough. I HATE This piece of crap!!!!!!!!!!! And I especially hate Gold Star for NOT taking it back and tearing up our contract. Very Dirty of you. NOT good business and we have been repeat customers. NO MORE! First off I want to start this review by clarifying between surdyke.com and this dealership's website surdykeharley.com. All of the negative reviews that you read are from individuals that have dealt with surdyke.com (an internet sales sight only without a storefront) and not surdykeharley.com the actual storefront dealership! JC was very knowledgeable when it came to the bikes, and made the buying experience that much better! Not to mention he kept our 2 little girls laughing and entertained while my wife and I were in the finance office. Moving over to service, I met Joe or "Joe Cap" as they call him! He went over the bike with me front to back and top to bottom! Most dealers want to hurry up and usher you out the door... Not this guy! Very informative and helpful! I definitely will make the 70 mile trip back here to have him and the service team work on the bike! We all know what the worst part of buying a vehicle is. Right? Yep! The finance office! Well, I had the pleasure of doing business with Dirk in finance, and all I can say is WOW! No pressure, on top of his game, and very friendly! Once again, not trying to usher you out the door! I used Surdyke's website to order a helmet and it's been 3 weeks so I called in to asked what happen. The lady in the parts department told me that one helmet came in but it wasn't mine. She could not give me any proof on this but I believe that they had sold my helmet to a costumer inside they're dealership. She told me it would be at least another 3 weeks before they would get it in. I asked for a discount for this mishap but she told me that there would be no way that her or her manager could do that. Needed 2 screws to fit an HD windshield to my V-Rod. Placed an order for a pack of 2 (per their website) on June 18 for shipment by July 1. Called July 7 when my order status was not updated. Their parts department said "we'll look for it, it might be in a pile of parts somewhere. It's just a few screws, it might have gotten lost so if we can't find it we'll just refund you." Waited for an e-mail update I was told would come. Never came. Called back on July 8: "I left myself a note to look for it, I haven't looked for it yet. I'll send you an e-mail today for sure." No e-mail again. I call back on July 9, and they tell me that the $30 + $15 shipping that I paid for the pack of 2 that was advertised on their website was only for one screw, and that the screws were only sold in pairs and they would have to charge me for another. For those of you keeping score at home, that's $75 for a pair of screws. Instead of making up for their mistake and clear disregard for customer service by offering a discount, I was told "well, we can't lose money" after they ripped me for $15 on shipping a 2oz package from MO to NJ. Contacted them today, July 2nd, and was told indefinite back order. Status says warehouse. If it is in the warehouse, you can ship the part. No emails or calls about the back order. Wow, I wish I had read all the yelp reviews about Suredyke.com before placing my $1,178.90 order!!! So I placed an order on a Wednesday and received an email from them that order was accepted. I then received an "updated" email from them confirming that all items' Status as "available" so I think to myself great! Then I received another e-mail from them that a part is on Back Order so I thought to myself OK how bad could it be, but when they gave me a 10 day later shipping date I said NO. So on Friday, two days later, I emailed them cancelling the order. And as you all have probably previously read, yes, they want to charge me the 20% "re-stocking" fee that I supposedly agreed on when paying for the order! So I ask you, how is it a "re-stocking" fee if they never shipped the order or any part of it? According to them, they order all parts from Harley Davidson, which means that they stock nothing! If they cancel an order with HD then they are charged a 20% fee. If this is the case, why the hell do they show as all parts "in stock". I think they are making stupid money on these "fees". Let me start off by saying all I wanted to do was simply order a couple things for my fiancé for Christmas. THATS IT. Not deal with a completely rude and obnoxious Internet rep by the name of Tina. Let me start from the beginning.... I needed a windshield, sissy bar, sissy bar bad, hardware for sissy bar and plates.... I saw for the past week discounted pricing and today at 3:30 I put the items in my cart and went to check out, while checking out there was an error I refreshed and I saw the pricing had completely changed over $50 for each item... I went on the chat to try and get assistance seeing as I myself work for a dealership and know customer service is a priority... Clearly not to Tina. She was rude and when I asked if the pricing could be adjusted seeing as price promos end at midnight not at 3:35 in the middle of the day when refreshing their page.... I asked to speak with a manager or be called she said no, then she proceeded to tell me that she "spoke" to the "manager" and he said he can't help me and basically it is what it is.. I called their dealership as I know it is owned by the same owner, the receptionist kept telling me there's nothing they can do they are separate I said I understand but they will not reply to me in email and everytime I try to do the chat it's Tina and she closes the chat session and is disrespectful... I said I want to speak with the owner and he said no he's just here to make sure the building isn't on fire and then he leaves we don't see him... I wanted to speak with someone in charge, finally after not taking no for an answer I get put on hold and then get the manager John I believe on the phone and he apologizes and says he can adjust the pricing seeing as it was wrong what Tina said and did and once he adjusted I placed my large order which processed and guess what happened... Literally 2 hours later I get an email saying your order has been verified and then the next one I received said the entire order has been canceled !!?!?!? Horrible service and mislabeled merchandise (makes me wonder if the motor clothes they sell are authentic or not). I ordered a leather jacket in a Large, but they shipped me an Extra-Large (XL on the tag inside the jacket, but Large on the paper tag). I went through the process to return the jacket (no exchanges, they make you re-order for their mistake). I had to spend over $25 for shipping. I reached out to them multiple times requesting they reimburse me for the return shipping (again, since it was their fault), and nobody EVER responded to me. What a disaster of an outfit. Placed an order on May 11 because like others negative reviews have stated, their website said it was in stock. Low and behold they did NOT actually have the item in stock. I get notified that it is on back order from Harley with an estimated ship date of 6/2/2020. On 5/16/2020 I get notified that the item is "Packed from HD" headed to them so they can ship it to me. A couple weeks go by and no updates, so I contact them only to be told that HD had NOT actually shipped it to them and they sent an email asking why. Here we are, weeks later, I once again inquire on the status only to be told the same thing, only now they're expecting it in July. Mind you, Harley Davidson direct states the item is back in stock. At this point, I asked for a cancelation and a FULL refund so I can simply order the part elsewhere, and after some heeing and hawing on their part, they agreed. We'll see how long THAT takes. My wife and I stopped by on our way north from her mom's. We got there about 6:30 pm thinking the store was open till 7. Turns out the website was incorrect and the store had actually closed at 6. Three of the salesmen were still there prepping for a sale weekend. Joe, Tater, and the third salesman (I apologize, I missed getting his name), treated us like family and let us shop. After Debby and I picked out our stuff, we paid in cash since the cash registers had been shut down for the day. Tater and Joe took the cash, photo copied the price tags and our payment, took our names, email address, and phone number in case we had over paid. I got a call this morning from Surdyke telling me we had over paid by 15 cents. Surdyke is going to roll that up to an even dollar and add it to their military support fund (but they wanted to check with is before doing so). Great store, service, and even better people. I placed an online order for repair parts for my Road King after being rear ended by a car at a stop sign. I saw that they had a banner on their web sight advertising free shipping over $99 and thought that it was a great deal, so I went a head and ordered a painted rear fender, two painted saddle bag bottoms, and 2 support brackets for the saddle bag bottoms all totaling a little over $1200. I got my confirmation email right away and thought that everything was good to go, but sadly, it wasn't. Since I had ordered painted parts, I knew from the get go, that they most likely didn't have them in stock. Knowing this, I knew that the parts were going to be a month or more to get in hand. I received an email 4 days later with an update status that my order was on hold. I thought nothing of this, especially since I was waiting on factory painted parts. A week after that, I got another email saying my parts were on hold, and thought that this was funny, so I looked into the small, fine print at the bottom of the email... It stated that the free shipping was only good for orders under 20lbs, but my order totaled out to 49lbs and they would need an extra $48.83 or my order would be canceled and I would be charged a restocking fee of 20%. Why wouldn't they call a customer in this situation, I had to give them my phone number to make the order, sending an email with a bunch of small print at the bottom just seems like a way to try to get me to over look the they wanted more money and to charge me a 20% restocking fee. This company seems to live by the fine print. Yes they advertise the free shipping over $99 is for 20lbs or less, but it is in a flashing add, and the print is so small that you don't pay attention to it, nor do they list any of the weights of the products on the web site so you can have an idea of wether you will be under weight or not. They bank on the fact that you will not pay attention and shell out extra money for shipping when you go over weight, or cancel your order and they will make 20% restocking fee on something that they never even moved from the shelf in the first place. Talk about extortion. After I found all this out, I got on line and chatted with a customer service rep who wasn't very helpful. Pay the extra shipping or we will cancel your order. When I said what I thought about their practices, she told me that she would refund my order and not withhold the restocking feel. By this time, I've had parts on order for 2 weeks, and didn't want to wait any longer than I had too to receive factory painted parts. If I can keep one person from making the same mistake I did, and keep them from spending their hard earned money at a shop that does not care about their business practices, their customers and how they are serviced, I will consider that a win. I can only hope that those of you who read this will shop else where (there are plenty of other online HD dealers that sell for 20% below MSRP on parts) and recoup the extorted $48 shipping cost that way. read more

I sent the mounting kit that they sent that was wrong . $17.95 shipping . I was denied . The mounting kit I bought locally was $100 less !! Of course . It was not exactly the way I received it . I never have run across a vendor that takes "7-10 days to receive the order" after I place it on line. Let be be clear...that's NOT to receive what I ordered. That's for THEM to receive the order and start processing it. While most vendors ship within a day or two, they take TWO WEEKS to ship. But they sure are fast to charge your credit card--same day as the order. Further, if you decide to cancel your order after 24 hrs from placing it (thats still nearly two weeks before they ship it) they charge you a 20% "RESTOCKING" fee!! These policies are outrageous. Further yet, If they back order something and it has been on back order for more than 45 days, you have the option to cancel, BUT THEY WILL NOT GIVE A REFUND TO YOUR CREDIT CARD!! You have to accept a gift card from their store instead. They do have these policies stated on line, if you go read through their terms and conditions. I admittedly didn't do that. I purchased a 2015 Kawasaki Vulcan S 650 from Surdyke and was very excited about the bike. This is my first bike and was eager to ride and learn. The salesman was friendly and tried to be helpful. I left with my bike and was ready to get home and ride. After taking the bike for her first ride I noticed several issues right away.... 1 - There were more scuffs and scrapes than I had been made aware of or noticed in the showroom (since it had been dropped). They told me they replaced all the damaged parts after it had been dropped. The brake lever had some bad road rash as well as the master cylinder. Several of the plastics and pegs showed signs of sliding on the pavement. 2 - The handlebars were significantly bent (from being dropped) and the right side sat about 2" lower than the left. When I called the dealership I was told the bike was bought "as-is" (less than 24-hours after the sale). After a few phone calls they came back with I can purchase the bars at cost from them or get some from eBay for cheap. Once I said I would be leaving a negative review based on this they offered to send me a set free of charge. I was willing to accept everything up to this and leave a solid review (since they took care of the main issue) until I found the following problems. 3 - The headlight had also been broken during the drop and instead of replacing the housing, a handful of zip ties were used to reconnect the lower mounting tabs that had been broken off. Thus making the headlight aimed quite a bit off to the side. Now I am stuck with either dealing with this until the zip ties fail or spending hundreds on a new headlight. 4 - This would be the biggest safety issue I found with the bike. The throttle assembly must have been damaged when the bike was dropped because it sticks at whatever position it is released at. I thought at first it needed lubed, so I took it apart and clean and service the cables. Once they were moving freely I reassembled and checked the throttle once more, it was doing the same thing. I found by leaving it loosely secured to the bar that it will function as intended, but once I snug down the screws you can see the housing contort to the side and bind up the throttle. All of these issues should have been identified in the safety inspection I was told had been done. It furthermore should have been identified during the "once over' I was told all their bikes getting prior to seeing the sales floor. Being a first time bike rider I felt taken advantage of as I didn't know what all I was looking for while purchasing. I relied on them to take care of me and I don't feel that happened at all. Do yourself a favor and just go to your local dealership. Online ordering is easy enough. However, in the event that you have to return the item, you are in for a world of disappointment. It should not be this hard to get a refund for a part that was purported to fit your bike in the description, but in actuality, does not. This dealership should not even be allowed to even sell Harley Davidson motorcycles. From service to sales they run a very shady business. They sell you junk used motorcycles, repairs that are needed they pass on to the customer. When you buy the bike they hound you to buy the extended warranty knowing their bikes need repair. But you know some people can't afford it and get stuck with a junk bike. The owner will not even talk to you to back his business up instead lets you talk to the General Manager who is full of excuses and hot air (JMAC)! I would recommend if you buy a used motorcycle here do your research, don't assume this place has your financial situation or safety in mind. Check the service records they have, check the bike over thoroughly even the fluids and conditions of the fluids. I know you think coming from a Harley Davidson dealer you would not have these worries. Yes prices are lower but not for much. You will regret buying from them. Let me share my one and only experience. I bought from them and was able to get free shipping which is now 169 and above. A month passed by and nothing. They kept saying my parts were back ordered. Every time I asked , because they dont even have the courtesy of letting you know, they kept extending the time for my parts to be shipped. Today after they had already posponed my shipping date twice , they tell me that now its back ordered until 07/14. So I told them to cancel my order because i will not wait one more month. They come back to tell me that they will refund less shipping cost!! Why is this my fault?? So besides waiting for my stuff over a month , I will get less money now.
