It ended in downtown Martinez, I was hungry, and the Market was there, so I just had to.... Unlike other Farmers Markets I've been to, this one isn't in a plaza park. It actually lines some city streets. It's a lovely market, with the friendly offerers of fresh produce snd prepared foods. The produce looked wonderful, and I picked up some lovely snap peas and tomatoes. For the latter, it was delicious tamales, lumpia and salmon jerky. Also, I picked up a jar of honey from one of my favorite apiaries -- a women-owned producer called Miss Bee Haven. Very casual and homey.

Visit Date: 07/16/26…read more First impressions here from a non-local of the 2026 version of Benicia's seasonal summer farmer's market. Held every Thursday duing summer from 4 until at least 7:30pm. It was a tad smaller than I thought it would be, covering about 2-3 short town blocks. But, they do pack a lot of booths within this space. Come for the great weather & scenery, an easy stroll, small-town bliss, to connect with community, street musicians, people watch and of course to shop. Even if prices for products & produce--organic or otherwise--are likely equivalent to, or even higher than you can find just about anyplace else. Fruit vendors generously offer free samples, a nice touch. I was hoping for a more preferable choice of hot food vendors, such as a baked potato vendor that I heard had been out here in markets past. But, didn't see them and wasn't impressed with the other offerings this time. Also disappointingly, prices at most of the food stalls aren't clearly posted if at all. And when learned, rival those at full-service sit-down restaurants. For those not in the know or visiting for the first time, both parking & entrance to the market are free. However, parking in the lower blocks of 1st St. where the market is held gets kinda tight, especially towards later hours into the event. Smarter move would dictate getting here early when the market first opens. Market is pet-friendly. Unlike the annual large Peddler's Faire event held once a year in downtown Benicia (usually in August), the farmer's market is free of alcohol serving booths. More a family event-atmosphere. But, it wouldn't be hard either for a patron to dip into one of the nearby streetside restaurants to toss back a few, if they were so inclined. They even had a street masseuse booth set up, although I can't comment on pricing. Porta potty set-up's are only at 1 end of the market near the Marina side. So, that's something to think about for us bladder-compromised folks, lol.

THAT WAS FUN! Had my…read moreone and only taste of the Napa Farmers Market, and it is thee place to be on Saturday Morning. Tons of parking, tons of vendors, tons of yummy food! Since I'm passing thru Napa, I didn't buy any "produce", as I will be on flying, and that doesn't make sense. However, I was able to taste and try many of the food vendors present. First off, OHM Coffee. As it was 83 degrees, I didn't want anything hot --- I opted for the Iced Matcha Latte. It was delicious! Nothing that made it "stand out", but I know a good Iced Matcha when I taste one --- definitely started my rounds around the market right! For breakfast, I've been craving a good breakfast burrito and found the vendor, "Earth's Bounty". It was a bit of a healthier take on the chorizo and potatoes --- they swapped it out for bacon and roasted veg. which included zucchini and sweet potatoes --- but I was pleasantly surprised! I devoured the whole thing!! The tortilla was warmed perfectly, and the melted cheese that crisped up on the grill made it EXCELLENT! To top it off, I visited a stand selling "MAUI STYLE POTATO CHIPS", helmed by the most friendly woman, named Sara. She was so awesome, and let me sample whatever I wanted. Needless to say, I purchased 3 bags of chips for $27. If bought individually, it would be $10 per bag. Such a great market to visit whenever your in Napa! 10/10!

I do enjoy the atmosphere and level of business throughout the four hours the market is open. Would appreciate a few more vendors for competition and activities. I also understand the economy is not where it's supposed to be, which affects agriculture. Would not recommend spending in bulk for the average consumer with a 9-5 job. I always keep in mind that this is Walnut Creek and I prefer my money in my pockets for rent and the rest of that good stuff. Would not go if I had to drive to the location or try to find parking. Overall, everything is really quality. I ate the fudge I got from there and it will last me a week for $20 and takes place of the sweets I enjoy with my lunch at work, so it works; I wish there was more flavors, but I am appreciative. I use as a finishing oil drizzled on roast vegetables or for pasta dishes. Frantoio olive oil also has known health benefits! A great antioxidant, reduce inflammation, help with lowering cholesterol and for heart health due to high polyphenols. I'm all for it...a daily tablespoon or two will do ya! If you're a bit more adventurous you can go with the other high polyphenol EVOO of Spanish olives called Hojiblanca. Plenty of options of vinegars and olive oils to sample before you buy. Bought the 18yr old aged balsamic which elevates any dressing and your friend's will comment "how come mine doesn't taste like yours" (evil laugh!) ...quality ingredients make a difference! Staff helpful and will provide ideas for pairings with food and educate on the wonderful selection of products. Store shelves were not fully stocked (when I visited in Jan) but you can ask and a bottle will be filled in the back. Plenty of street parking and towards the end of First Street. I like what I like but have no real knowledge. That's why I like Sepay. Lots of surprises in the store beyond oil and vinegars. Soup mixes that are really good. Pasta, dips... you just need to go to the store. Next door in a wine place that opens at 4:00 that can round out the journey.

The yogurt is creamy and thicker than most, they are tasty and delicious. But they give you less in content. I notice that they only fill up the yogurt about 70 or 80%. You are paying premium price and should not give less than you paid right?
