Wasn't even sure I was going into the right place since there isn't any signage out front or on the door. I've never had to prepay for a massage. Now I know why, because if it was after, I would not have paid. It was awful. I didn't get a massage, I got an oil rubbing. Would have been great if I was heading to the beach but I wasn't. I spent 65 of the 70 minutes face down. The only time she applied any pressure was to mush my gold necklace into my neck, repeatedly. At the start, she insisted I remove my underwear, which I refused several times. The sign even says to leave underwear on. After the 70 minute rubbing (not 90 which I paid for) the girl left so I could dress. Only to return and ask if I'd like a water. I said yes, she seemed out out but then, the first time ever, I was asked for a tip. I wasn't carrying cash and was going to put a tip on my credit card on the way out. Another first, she wanted more that what I was offering for such a terrible massage. I was willing to overlook the bad massage table. Was willing to overlook the urine smell. I only noticed this establishment named, "Asian Massage," several months ago. It had a different name before that but I don't remember what it was. I walked in and a pleasant lady named, "Tina" was at the front counter. I asked her a few questions and found she was Chinese. The prices looked reasonable to I took a one hour massage for $60. I explained about having lower back problems for over 4 years and pinpointed the spot for her. She started massaging the area very gently and told me that there was something there as compare to the the other side of my back. She concentrated in that area until my pain was gone and then she worked on the rest of my back, back of my legs, chest, and the thighs, knees, and shins. Oh, she also massaged both of my feet completely. I nearly fell asleep a few times but, I forced myself to stay awake to feel the relaxation and peacefulness of my entire body. Needless to say, it was a great experience for me. I walked out of there feeling totally relaxed and my entire body was tingling all over. Luckily the drive home was only a couple of minutes as I was in total relaxation. Will I go back? - MOST DEFINITELY! She asked what do I want? I said just a massage please. After that she was very rude and said the massage is over. Then she placed out her hand asking for a tip. I tipped $20 (30%) plus an additional 10% credit card fee. She acted like she deserved more. Then she starts complaining to her fellow employee in another language I do not understand sounding mad. I asked for a deep tissue, the only time it was deep tissue was when my therapists arm was rubbing up and down my back like a guasha, which was one of the 5 things she kept doing over and over. When she went into my shoulders she kept smacking my head because again she was using her forearm roughly. Massaged my hands for literally 30 seconds. But the worst part was that she literally pushed so hard repeatedly on my spine! It hurt so bad I was ready to get up and leave but I hate confrontation and didn't want her to feel bad or get in trouble with her boss who was right up front. I know deep tissue is painful and will leave you sore but I get a massage every month and that was not a good massage and I'm sore/in pain up and down my spine and nowhere else. I work with massage therapists and you're not allowed to work direct on the spine and you can cause permanent damage! Sorry to say I will never be back.
