The staff is exceptional. I had to have surgery the last week in May and I chose CORA Delray Beach as my surgeon suggested. I was taken from the hospital the day after my surgery directly to CORA. It was the LAST thing I wanted to do and tried unsuccessfully to put it off to another day. I just wanted to go home. My leg was wrapped up - I couldn't lift it, bend it, walk on it. I met Arielle who did an assessment and gently tried to get me to do some very minimal movements - flexing my foot and other small things. After about 15 min I just started crying out of frustration and the realization that this recovery was going to be much harder than I thought. Arielle sat with me and talked to me. Among the things she said to me was "Let's concentrate on celebrating the little victories." Her encouragement was exactly what I needed - it wasn't pity (oh you poor thing) it was a roadmap to recovery. As the sessions progressed I graduated from the wheelchair to the walker to no assistance. During that time I was introduced to B who became my therapist for the remaining sessions. Both he and Arielle were always showing me the progress I was making when I doubted myself. They truly gave me my life back and got me walking again. I will be forever grateful to them. I actually started looking forward to PT, challenging myself and their excitement at my every little victory. Oh and B's jokes. And his dance moves. During the almost 3 months of PT, I witnessed people coming in with a variety of challenges. Every patient was given the same attention, encouragement and an expertly designed path for their recovery. No one ever felt rushed - you were given the time you needed. Their first day was much like mine as were the days they progressed. Those of us that had PT the same days formed a community of sorts. We were all rooting for each other and our coaches lead the team. Arielle, B and the Kims made it fun to come in. I was first curious and perhaps a little wary that the facility wasn't packed with people and therapists on my initial visit. I soon learned why. The Kims (yes there are 2 of them) at the front desk were incredible at scheduling as were Arielle and B. They do a great job -and they're super nice. I never had to wait to start my therapy or had to sit during it and wait until a therapist was done with someone else. It becomes clear that their priority is YOU. While that may seem like everyone does that - others do not. I have been to PT places with shiny new equipment, many many therapists and many patients just waiting around. At CORA if your session in an hour, you will work for an hour. They keep you moving. Most days I walked out sweating from simple things like stepping up one step and down one step. It always amazed me that such simple movements could make such an incredible impact. The difficulty of the exercises increased gradually - I hardly noticed it until my progress was celebrated by everyone. The bottom line is this. At CORA they not only focus on the physical, but on the mental and emotional aspects of recovery as well. They will cheer you on and encourage you every step of the way, all while providing excellent exercises and challenges. And if you need to just cry, they will be there for you as well. They genuinely care about you - all of you. Their dedication to their patients is a rare find. If you want a shiny "gym like" experience with therapists that give you about 30% of their time, then go elsewhere for your care. However, if you want the best care, the best staff and best outcome for your recovery choose CORA Delray Beach. I did and am so thankful that I did. You will be too.

My treatment started for tendonitis and tennis elbow and soon I learned I needed surgery on my rotator cuff. When I was ready to go back to PT, there was no question where I would complete the treatment. The clinic itself is beautiful and very clean. You can tell Scott, the owner, took his time in selecting his staff. Chris, Michael, Faith, Eva, and Allison are all awesome! When you walk in, everyone says hello and greets you by name. You always feel welcome and you know they truly care about your wellbeing. I have never waited past my appointment time and sometimes even called a few minutes before, which as most of you know is rare these days. Chris has been working on my shoulder, elbow, and forearm for sometime now. We always have great conversation and he makes sure I not only know my exercises, but that I am comfortable and do not feel any pain. Anytime you have a question, you can always get someone to help you or make some adjustments. As crazy as it sounds, they make PT fun and instead of dreading it, I look forward to going. All of these factors have been key in my recovery.

The front desk staff at this location has been outstanding, although my experience at the Wellington office was quite the opposite (which is now closed, and I am not surprised). If I were to rate the therapists and the WPB office, they would undoubtedly receive 5 stars. I am quite disappointed and perplexed by the abrupt closure of this office this week. There is, however, one issue that has been raised by several individuals: the matter of missed appointments. I have been a patient at Saylor for a very long time and have missed only ONE appointment during that period. On that particular morning, I woke up feeling very ill, making it impossible for me to attend. In fact, it would have been IRRESPONSIBLE for me to show up, as I could have potentially infected my therapist, other therapists, and fellow patients, some of whom are in poor health. I called immediately upon realizing my condition to inform them that I could not make it. They were understanding but informed me that I would need to pay the fee out of pocket. I expressed my dissatisfaction, considering this was the first time I had to cancel, and was told that this was the policy. While I understand the policy, I had never missed an appointment before or since. I insisted on speaking with her supervisor. I explained the situation and emphasized that I should not be charged for the reasons stated above. She ultimately agreed not to charge me but mentioned that the therapist would lose that hour's income. I did find a way to compensate her. If anyone from Saylor reads this review, I hope they will consider implementing a new, more compassionate approach to handling such situations. I would recommend that a reliable patient not be charged after maintaining a consistent appointment schedule for six months, in which case Saylor could ensure the therapist is compensated. This approach would help keep clients satisfied and staff healthy. Additionally, it is preferable for Saylor to avoid having sick patients in the clinic. You would lose more money in that case.

I have Florida Blue insurance and was initially told my responsibility would be a $30 co-pay per visit. This remained true until my second evaluation, after which my charges increased--without any prior notice or explanation. Weeks later, I received multiple unexpected bills for past appointments on top of the co-pays I had already paid. This lack of transparency was frustrating and avoidable. I would have appreciated being informed of the change in billing before treatment continued, or at minimum receiving accurate charges at the time of each visit so I knew what I was agreeing to pay. Due to the poor communication and unprofessional attitude from the billing department, I ultimately chose to stop treatment. This was unfortunate, as the physical therapists themselves were knowledgeable and genuinely helpful.

On Thursday I had Dr. Appt's and had to have them send the Nurse early in the morning. Apparently, that was too much for them. No nurse showed up. Calling their office will bet you voice mail every time. I texted with my old Nurse, Shilah and she tried to reach people in the office, to no avail. I feel this is a one-person-band and if you need something in between appt's, you will never reach anyone.

Within our first consultation, he knew exactly what was wrong. I had bone that was pressing on my L4/5. I was booked for surgery a month later. I am now 3 months post op, back in the gym, and I'm able to walk my dogs again. Although it takes time to heal, I am not stuck to the couch, unable to move any longer. Thank you, Dr. Norton, Kendra, Dr. MacMahon (pain management), Dr. Kenneth in PT and the entire staff for always treating patients with care. There's no one else in South Florida I'd trust my spine heath with.
