    My appointment they made

I have been to the Back Institute several times. Scott has been giving me epidural's and he is wonderful. I called to make an appointment for an epidural and they gave me an appointment for Apr 14 and I asked them to make sure I am in one month and one day so that Medicare will cover it. I stopped taking my aspirin and could not take any Advil or anything else for the pain I was in. When I arrived, they gave me the paperwork they usually give me I filled it out and handed it to them. I sat down in the waiting room number one and as I am in waiting room number two in the red chairs Scott's assistant came out to tell me that I was four days early for it to be covered by Medicare. I made the appointment a Scott's assistant came out to tell me that I was four days early for it to be covered by Medicare. when I made the appointment and asked them to make sure they That it would be covered by Medicare. when I went to check out this obnoxious disrespectful POS said to me that I had an appointment on the 19th not today and that you have to pay 550. I explained to her that I made the appointment based on having Medicare cover it she said well that's too bad, she then threw my credit card at me like I was a piece of garbage I'm 74 yo with a heart condition and they wanted me to wait for more days for no more aspirin this obnoxious arrogant disrespectful POS treated me like I was a criminal. this obnoxious arrogant disrespectful POS treated me like I was indigent and I was trying to get away without paying. Meantime, I think they made the appointment for days early so that they can charge me 550 maybe they get more made the appointment for days early so that they can charge me 550 maybe they get more . Scott is fabulous Dr. Lowen is good, however, I will not put up with disrespect from the front office and would not go back if she was still there. I have a text from the office stating that my appointment was April 14. This arrogant POS told me I changed it from the 19th which is the day I would've been covered by Medicare. I never changed appointment and only changed they change the appointment from 10 from 11:50 to 10:50 AM on the 14th. That's the only change and they made it. Appt Reminder: tomorrow at 11:30 AM with Florida Back Institute Reply 1 to confirm, 2 to cancel, or 3 to reschedule. I am a heart patient with high blood pressure. She made it worse and I believe that she needs to take lessons on how to deal with people. Here is a screen shot they sent me. The front desk are liars and disrespectful. They basically told me I was lying and I just proved that they are liars. Please see screen shot from their office. Now that think about I recall the office said they can get me in earlier(on then the appointment I had) that made me inelii

Dr. Munoz is young, energetic and loves to shake hands. He is helping us with my mother-in-law's broken hip. The office staff is so efficient when I ask with medical records. I really appreciate that. Only once did it take a long time to get a letter written for my mother-in-law's medicare claim. The group does surgeries across the street at their surgery center. I have no complaints with my experiences there either. All surgeries went well and the staff is compassionate as well as efficient. The only complaint that I have is that waiting time is entirely too long in both places! At least they provide coffee, magazines and a flat screen to keep you occupied while you wait.

Sort of like she couldn't care less about her demeanor. She asked me a question on whether it was an accident. I heard auto so I said no. Then she proceeded to ask how he injured himself and I said he fell. She then sharply reminded me that she asked if it was an accident and I said no. I told her to stop being rude and that I was hearing impaired and she was hard to hear because of the static from her headset. She then argued that she was not rude. Well, that is a problem in itself. Tone of voice says a lot. At the end of the call, I repeated the address she gave me. I misunderstood the suite # and she said NO NO NO NO NO NO NO (probably about 8 times) and then repeated the suite #. I only hope the office manager reads this review. The person answering your calls is the face and voice of the practice. She sets the tone. If she is rude, then your practice is rude. I cannot image that the physicians would tolerate such unprofessional behavior. Having myself been a patient there in the past, I am shocked at how poorly this person handled the call. I have overseen call centers in my lifetime and never would I allow an employee to speak to someone the way she spoke to me.

Every time I come to him, he says, " What did you do now?" With a chuckle, of course. I really appreciate that he is not quick to suggest overly invasive remedies - he's a fan of PT and now I am, too, and natural ways to reduce inflammation and increase strength to prevent injury. I have learned that many injuries are simply due to weakness and, for me, overtraining, but he gives me the guidance and care I need so I can continue to train safely. It's also pretty easy to get an appointment when you want. On the other hand, I do find his front desk staff to be aloof and cold, and often I have to wait a very long time to be seen, but it's par for the course at so many medical practices, unfortunately.

While she's had some temporary relief, the problem never fully resolved. At a recent appointment, she mentioned both hands were affected, and the doctor indeed treated both. However, despite this being a clear oversight, the prescription for physical therapy was only given for one hand. My father called to request an update, and the staff outright refused, insisting that we come in person. I went in today, and it was met with dismissive, rude behavior from the receptionist who refused to help. After years of loyalty, this practice has been a complete disappointment--both in care and in customer service. I will not be returning, and I strongly urge others to look elsewhere for professional, respectful care.

I was just thinking about how good my shoulder feels, and decided it was time that I write a review…read morefor Dr. Purita, who made that possible. About me -- injured my right shoulder 12 years ago from weight lifting. Spent years in chronic pain before undergoing surgery in 2011 from a highly respected orthopedic surgeon in Delaware. Shoulder felt better, but nowhere close to 100%, so I saw a local doctor in Springfield, PA and had 5 PRP injections over a period of a few years. The first 4 treatments seemed to help, but something went wrong with the 5th one because I felt a lot of pain both during and after the operation (never experienced that before). The Springfield doctor claimed it was a "flare-up", which seemed questionable because he had never disclosed that side effect before. I decided it was time to see a professional, and went to Dr. Purita to perform stem cell treatment on my shoulder. I was very impressed with my entire experience. I flew to Florida and got diagnosed. We then scheduled the stem cell treatment shortly thereafter. The treatment--which involves many needles, removal of fat cells and stem cells--is not for the faint of heart, but it's worth it. His staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and the technology in his operating room is impressive. Sinatra playing in the background was a nice touch. I had a follow-up PRP session with Dr. Purita about 6 months later, per their recommendation. Now about 18 months removed from the stem cell treatment, my right shoulder feels as good as it has ever felt since the injury. I tried EVERYTHING over a period of almost 12 years, including PT, prolotherapy, PRP, surgery, and then finally stem cell treatment. It wasn't until I bit the bullet and opted for stem cell treatment with Dr. Purita that my shoulder showed significant signs of improvement. The goal was to return to moderate weight lifting, and not feel pain on a day to day basis. That goal has been accomplished. I thank Dr. Purita and his staff for making that possible.

You have to pay for the treatment yourself as insurance will not pay for the PRP./Stem Cell treatment, but it is well worth it to at least consider this as a viable option for your bad joints.
