I don't understand a company buying gold but not silver? Wouldn't they just be losing money, out the door. The store looks like its dying by lack of inventory for such a small space. He said not interested in meta oculus virtual reality or any VR. BTW what is going on with these pawn shops around here, all they want is gold and they look like dying. sux cause i sell online but when you need quick cash pawning helps. Telling me "I just don't think your coming back" when i got $40 on $700 of items pawned (when attitude should be they hope i don't come back, so they could profit more). The other two pawn shops owners are rude and looking at their shops how dare they!!! and ones a horrible stereotype,, i almost thought he was doing a bit.

I asked him for a rough appraisal on two gold pendants. They belonged to my diseased aunt and I've had them since 2006 and wanted to see what they were worth. I already knew that the gold weight was 18.5 grams and it was 24 karrot gold and the nail inside the gold weighed less than .2grams. he told me to give him the other emblem I said no they were identical and I just wanted to see what one was worth. He walked away 10-15feet and I didn't notice until last night he dug a tool into both of the emblems. He handed me the emblems and said don't ever fxxx return I said I won't ever don't u worry. He then began verbally assaulting me and making gang signs. I was walking to my car and he followed me to my car yelling and cussing to fight him and he had a gun and would shoot me he lifted up his shirt and showed me a black gun. My car wouldn't start and he's yelling at me to get off his property. I didn't have my cel phone it was home. I went to the Mexican restaurant and called AAA. I am 55 years old and recently became disabled. I am very respectful and I was discriminated against and he was trying to rip me off saying that the majority of the weight was in the nail. Then followed to my car and threatened to be shot. I called the Seattle police department and I was told that they couldn't get the video evidence without a warrant. I said I want to press charges because this employee is going to rob and harm someone. Respectfully, Chris Smith

She could have at least let me finish the question and politely answered, "sorry we don't." I started the question by asking "do you take gold bullion coins, American Gold," then interrupted. I was going to say American Gold Buffalo, a 1 oz uncirculated gold coin that is .9999 fine gold. Because she was rude and probably thought it was a numismatic coin where the value is all over the place, and insanely inflated by a small niche of people who are sellers and collectors, she rudely interrupted me by saying, "no we don't." However, it is pure gold and the spot price of 1 oz gold is around $4,700.

I gave this place the benefit of the doubt because I know how pawn shops work and understand that…read moreno pawn customer is ever happy with the amount they get for selling or pawning their items. I figured the bad reviews are just from people who have received loans for or have sold their products. However, I entered as a paying customer to buy goods and I had a very shady experience with a dodgy owner. I came to this place today (29 Mar, 2023) to look for something for my mother-in-law's 50th anniversary. The blond woman behind the counter was charming and helped me look through the jewelry she had available. She told me that she just took over ownership of the place and said she had really good deals. We searched as I explained what I was looking for, and finally settled on two little heart pendants at $199 each. The owner said that the hearts had a 10karats stamp on them but she suspected they may be a higher karat, possibly 18k (or more). I told her that I would take them because I could just take them to a jeweler to solder them together and mount birthstones on them. I was even going to pay the asking price and not haggle for lower just because the customer service was worth it. She agreed and asked me to wait a moment while she tested the gold to find out how many karats they actually were. She turned her back to me so she can test on the counter behind her, out of my view. **I am not a person that has a problem with buying jewelry from pawn shops because even though the jewelry is used, it's not worn out. You can clean it professionally and place it in a retail jewelry shop to sell at retail, again and no one would know the difference. Some people just have a misguided belief that it's worth less because it's used. Gold retains the same value whether it's new or used.** The gold testing involves rubbing the gold item on a seemingly smooth rectangular stone which scratches off trace, unnoticeable amounts of gold. You then add a drop of a specific acid that dissolves non-gold metals. Each liquid has a different level of corrosiveness for determining how many gold karats the item is. It only takes a few seconds. After a few minutes, the owner turned around and said, "You know, I don't think these are going to work out for you". I asked why, to which she replied "I just don't... trust me. They're just not going to work out", as she took them to the back. She then came back to the front and asked if I wanted to look through any of the other available jewelry. I just gave her a dead stare, said "No... thank you..." and walked out. For whatever reason, she refused to tell me why she didn't want to sell them, all of a sudden. There could be many reasons. If they were not real, she could have said so. It doesn't affect me if they forgot to test the gold at the time they purchased it, only to find out now. However, If they were not gold, she wouldn't have taken them to the back. She could have just left the "fake" gold on a shelf behind the counter since it's worthless. It seemed more like her suspicions of the pendants being a higher amount of karats were confirmed and she decided she could sell them for much higher. The worst part for me is that she refused to tell me why she changed her mind about selling those items to me but had no problem with selling me anything else. This was my first time going to a pawn shop to make a purchase in over 20 years and unfortunately went to a shady one, even with "new ownership". I am never coming to this place again and caution everyone from purchasing anything from here...
