On top of this, the owner or manager of the company offered to put a used processor out of his own personal computer that is several years old into our computer... And to complete my great service with this company, the screen is still broken and the cooling fans were never actually replaced, it still has the old fans inside it after taking the laptop apart myself. Do NOT go to this company, just buy a new computer... I spent $650 on this repair and could have boughten a new laptop of same version or slightly newer for just a couple hundred dollars more. I did a Google search and saw that Redmond Computers & Internet Services is in a small strip mall in downtown Redmond, so thinking this was the right shop I brought my iPhone in so they could have a look. I was promptly greeted by a nice woman and her dog. I described the symptoms and the phone was given to a tech to take a look at it. Now keep in mind that this shop clearly advertises free diagnosis so I was expecting them to look at, tell me their interpretation of the underlying issue, and then tell me how much it would be to fix it. Instead, the technician came out and said I needed a new charging cord because there were no issues when the phone was on is charging cables. OK, I can take care of that myself so I'll just take my phone and go, right? Wrong! The owner said, "Charge him for 15 minutes of labor at $100/hour." Wait ... what? What happened to free diagnosis? I would like this business to do the right thing and give me back my money. They didn't give me a free diagnosis they gave me a paid diagnosis. Oh, by the way, the great computer store I had used the first time turned out to be Simplify Simple and they had moved to a larger facility near Fred Meyer.
