I've been getting my nails done here for a few months now. The salon is very nice and they do my gel manicure very well everything's I go. However, they have terrible customer service. I recently called to find out if they were busy or not, and asked if I can come get a gel manicure in about 10 minutes. They told me that they were not busy and able to do my manicure when I requested. When I arrived at the salon every nail technician was busy and they told me to take a seat to wait. I reminded them of the phone conversation I just had had with them. The woman I spoke to on the phone told me she remembered our conversation yet was just beginning someone else's pedicure. So they then told me it would be a 10 min wait which quickly turned into 30 mins. What had happened was that they took a walk-in when they were well-aware that I was on my way. It's really frustrating for employees to deceive and lie to their customers. It's a shame because they do good work, but not sure if I'll be returning or not. read more

I had a gap period since my last visit, because during COVID they jacked the prices up and the service wasn't quite worth the cost. But time came, present day, and I needed the convenience of location so I booked an appointment, which can now only be done online. I booked an appt with Etelvina for Mani and Callus Pedi. I arrived at my appt and was escorted to the back where I recognized no one. The young woman asked a lady at one of the pedi bowls to take me, I quickly let her know I have an appt with Etelvina and it was at that moment she says, "management changed and they are no longer with them." I asked, "when did that happen," woman replies, "yesterday." GTFOH -- I told her, Nobody called to inform me (the customer) that this occurred and give me the option of cancelling or keeping the appt. If I wasnt in such dire need I would have left, which I ended up doing when it came time for the manicure. I was sat at a table with a tray of used tools and nail dust all over. When the woman proceeded to use them of me, abruptly I asked "are those sanitized!" She looked at me like she didn't understand what I was saying; in Korean they must of said something because the front desk lady came over and tried to convince me they were sanitized. Yeah no...I don't think so. They make you keep a mask on, but will use dirty tools used on everybody. Not I. Today was my last visit, emergency or other. Plus when I paid they didn't even have the credit card machine working...Venmo, Zelle or cash (thank god I had cash, which I hardly ever carry). read more

Absolutely DO NOT waste your money here. They are overpriced for services that most of the women do not know how to do. I got a gel manicure, and they began to chip FOUR DAYS after. I thought this manicure might not be the best because the nail tech that did my nails did not use the usually "first step" of a gel manicure which is the "activator" - so all my gel nail polish began to peel and chip four days in. Today should have been day 7, and all of my gel nail polish has peeled right off! WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. Not to mention, my pedicure was a joke for $27, my cuticles are BARELY cut & I haven't gotten a pedicure since before the pandemic. 0/10 - would not recommend! read more

i would honestly leave zero stars if given the option. have been a patron since opening years ago but of late the service has been HORRIBLE!! the manicure i recieved three (3) hours ago is chipping. before leaving i noted to the tech maria (she wears a crucifix necklace) that my cuticles were not cut appropriately and that the polish was already chipping to which she replied "your cuticles were too dry" and did nothing about the polish. im not sure that i will not be back considering that this is my first bad experiance but i will never use the tech "maria" again and hope this serves as a warning to other patrons in her service. she also refused a tip and over charged me (owning to the fact that she included the tip in charging me $37 for a horrific manicure pedicure). i hope the manager reads this and hold her staff accountable!! read more

Godwin was an ok experience. The place looks very beautiful, but there's a tv playing creepy Charlie Chaplin movies that I honestly feel don't go with the ambience. There was no receptionist the Saturday I went and therefore there was a wait and the girls who did the nails were super busy and seem a bit overwhelmed. I don't blame them I blame the poor and lack of management. The person that did my nails was nice, but I honestly have gotten better manicures and pedicures at cheaper places that lasted much longer. Anyone that knows me knows I do not splurge to get manis, pedis and what not. But as a girls day I decided to join my sis on her conquest to find a new nail salon plus I knew it would be a pain to take off my royal blue nail polish that I already had on, so why not. First off there's only street parking but a fair amount I must say and it is metered. Second this place was very spacious!! And very CLEAN!! Third a great variety of colors and finally a plus old school Tom and Jerry playing on the television. So I made a reservation for my sis and I but they do take walk ins. For a regular pedi it was only 25 no tax and tip not included so be sure to tip the ladies. My technician was Camila such delicate dainty hands but don't be fooled she was a pro!! Especially at painting and her massages were great even though I prefer not to be touched. My sis got Norma and she liked her as well. They both were very skilled, helpful and kind. Oh and did I mention ask for their rewards card! It's free and they place stickers for your services after 10 you get a free mani on your next purchase! I went in for a regular manicure, while my husband and son went to a show next door and the service was amazing! Accepted me as a walk in. Professional and personable but also knew when to leave me alone. And the finished product, I haven't had a simple manicure look so good in a long time read more

I must say, right off the bat, the owner was really nice to give me a complimentary gel service after my terrible experience the first time. The quality and customer service of the rest of the employees was sub par. Both times I went to get my nails done, they didn't fill in the whole nail and rushed the entire time. Need I mention that the salon was empty for people getting a manicure. The service itself is quite expensive considering the inadequate job that's being done. I definitely won't be back and don't recommend getting your nails done here. read more

First time here was great! Was excited to come back here today and prepared to spend a little more than I usually do. I was so disappointed. There were three ladies there, and only one spoke (very broken) English. I tried to ask about the specialty pedicures, but each time I had a question, the woman who spoke a little English had to leave her client, and I started to feel bad. I would have liked to hear about what they offer,and it was overall not a good experience. I wish there would have been at least one person who could have communicated. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN !!! This is my first and last time visiting this establishment. I missed my manicure appointment due to traffic, but was on time for my pedicure appointment. As I was approaching I received a call from the salon. The woman said "Hi, this is the nail salon, you're late". I explained that I called them several times but no one answered the phone. She replied "Yeah but you late" I again stated I tried calling but no one answered. She was very annoyed but I let her know I was 2 blocks away. I entered the salon to find it almost empty with only one other person being serviced. When I entered, everyone's conversation stopped and they all stared at me, even the woman getting serviced. I instantly felt uncomfortable but ignored them and proceeded to the front desk. The woman who called me & would be servicing me was Gloria. Gloria again told me I was late and she couldn't do my manicure, only my pedicure. I told her that was fine. She rushed me to my seat and huffily told me to pick a color. I told her the name of the color I wanted. She rudely said idk go pick your color almost waving me off. I let her know she needed to get up and assist me with finding the color I requested, I also reminded her this was her place of work. Gloria got up to get the color and what do you know, she immediately found it. I said "See wasn't that easy". The entire pedicure was horrible, she purposely ignored me when I tried getting her attention, she didn't want to do anything I asked she kept making excuses. I just gave up and did it myself. Gloria sat back and watched me do it very smugly. I told her I should never have to do this and she's sitting right here. She ignored me of course and tried to continue painting my toes with out cleaning them off after I just finished filing them some more. I told her to get a rag and had to direct her like a child on how to wipe my feet off. She clearly did this on purpose. Gloria finished painting my toes and just walked to the front. She didn't say a word, I assumed it was to go dry my feet. As soon as I sat down she asked me to pay. I did because I just wanted to quickly be done with her. She took my payment and walked off. I traveled from NYC to try this salon and it was terrible. It's a clean place but Gloria was very rude and her behavior was extremely disturbing. This establishment seems to be very racist as I am a brown girl. I say this because I witnessed the behavior being completely different when they addressed vanilla (white) people. I was so upset and uncomfortable after witnessing that, it's so sad to see people behave in such a nasty way and I have to pay for it. I wish I didn't have to wait for my toes to be dried because I'm ready to leave out of this place and never come back. They need to stop the racism and disrespectful behavior and treat everyone with respect; we're ALL paying customers. read more

First pedicure since the pandemic shut down and so glad I came here! Everyone is cleaning, they took my temperature when I entered, the technicians are wearing masks AND face shields and gloves. The spa pedicure felt amazing and I will be back for sure! The customer service was great, too! read more

Salon was clean and had a nice aesthetic to it. The lady who did my gel nails did a nice job and was very thorough. They also include a hand scrub massage with your manicure! Staff was pretty nice and welcoming. Plenty of colors for a regular polish but the gel colors were limited. Asides from that, everything was great. Definitely would recommend! read more

I went to this place many times last summer and loved it. I returned today (May 2019) and the person giving me my pedicure is terrible. She is literally watching tv (turning around in her chair away from me) while giving me a pedicure. She has no idea what she is doing. Huge disappointment. Will not return her.e again. read more

I purchased three gift certificates for my daughters to use together as a sisters day out. One of the gift certificates was a kiddie mani-pedi. When we arrived at the salon I was questioned about my youngest daughter's age. Two of the technicians began to speak in their native language debating whether my daughter was really ten years old. I was furious because they questioned my honesty. I will not be questioned about my integrity and I will not allow anyone to hurt my children's feelings if I can help it. When I asked for their manager's name and telephone number, the same two technicians said they didn't know her name...REALLY, I couldn't believe they boldly lied and said they didn't know her name. Needless to say, I will never patronize this business again, even after being a longtime client. Please if anything is gleaned from this post, let it be, 1) pay attention and minimize your distractions when handling your business, 2) always protect yourself, and especially the children, from discrimination and the many forms it is now packaged as, and 3) as I shared with my daughters, walk away from any service provider if you are not being treated with respect as a patron. You have a choice to spend your hard earned money where you want and in a business that questions your integrity is not it. The ladies that work here are very nice and do a good job, but the customer service via phone call is horrible. Don't ever try to call to make or change an appointment, I had scheduled a 2pm appointment and called to move for 3pm, the guy that manages the phone calls had a very broken English but assured me I could be seen by 3pm. When I get there, turns out he only canceled and didn't reschedule me, the nice ladies at the salon informed me that all calls are handled outside of the store. Still in the salon, I call him back to see what happened and I kid you not, this guy was extremely unprofessional. He never admitted that he was wrong, he was telling me that I was crazy, that I had told him to only cancel and not reschedule which is not true... he started screaming at me saying that I was late and that that was the reason why I wasn't being seen, I could hear his turn signal in the background of the phone call so this guy was not even in an office he was driving while talking to me. I had to hang up because the conversation was literally going in circles. He would not admit that he was wrong, he did not acknowledge that he failed to reschedule me, the least I was expecting was an apology and I didn't even get that. I got so mad that I decided that I'm never coming back. Completely unprofessional. read more
