I bought one of their used drum sets and it seemed like a solid price. It was a nice maple Gretsh Catalina 6 piece kit with a nice amber finish. Ordered the Sawtooth Heritage Tuscan guitar online. When it arrived, the G, B, and E tuning pegs were broken making it such that you could not tune the guitar. I took it to the store today and Robbie took an entire set of tuning pegs off a broken headstock and replaced the three tuners. Considering the circumstances, I applaud Robbie for his assistance and professionalism. Now, the bad. I called multiple times and sent an email hoping to resolve this problem without having to go to their physical store location (this is why I ordered online). Unable to speak with anyone, I felt it necessary to to go to their physical location. I asked Robbie if there was some way he could compensate me for my time and trouble. He declined saying that he could not authorize any compensation. My expectation would have been a free t-shirt, or maybe a set of strings, perhaps a few guitar picks, a discount on a future purchase - a small item of nominal value to their organization to keep a customer happy. Meh, it didn't happen. Probably won't do business here again. Oh, as an aside, this store is not open Saturday or Sunday...that makes it difficult for me to make it to this location during the week with traffic and where I work. No refund exchange or response from GoDpsMusic after two weeks of trying to contact them via phone and email no response from them at all. Go to a well known and trusted music store these guys are crooks not honest with their product. Where to begin... Let me start by saying this review is not on the store itself, but online ordering. Their online ordering is associated with Amazon. I placed an order for Christmas and had guaranteed 2day shipping with Amazon. This was not the issue. Here is the problem My order was supposedly sent from dps to a distribution center via ups. When I contacted ups they told me the order never left the originators building. I called Amazon and was told dps was going to take care of it and I would have my order in 2 days. Well guess what it has been over a a week and still..no order. Amazon was great and refunded my money, but the MAJOR problem is that my son will not have this gift to open on Christmas Day and this was the only big thing he was wanting all year!!! This seller shipped the wrong ukelele from an Amazon order. When I posted a comment about this mistake on the seller feedback page they demanded I remove my comment before they would process my return. This kind of demand is directly against Amazon policy. Mmmmmmm where to start??? I like the lay out of the store, equip well presented drums guitars amps,thats what you really want to see on this kinda stores. Anyway i would given 5 stars but didnt happen the 3 missing starts are from some missing "costumer service" to not making a purchase. since all the people acknowledged me walking in the store and no one did greet me, i dunno whats the deal with the mexicans or latinos around this neighborhood but im mexican and as such we like to paid in cash most our big transactions well i least me, i walked in hoping that they have orange amps for bass,none!!!! there was a lot of oranges for only guitar, bit i didnt see any for bass unless ive missed them. Im about to drop 1500 to 2500 in cash for an orange head but seems like there was no interest at all on this folks to even greet me. I get close to the counter and some gal that was fixing a guitar look at me turn around and keep fixing the guitar. I like to spend good $$$ on my equip, i own 3 real ESP guitars/bass and i was able to find the orange amp that i wanted all the way to sherman oaks.but i guess some folks dont want the money. I will call the store for futures purchases and maybe once i walk in again the service will be different AND i give this a folks a second chance. read more

Fantastic music store. I bought my brother a guitar for Christmas, and brought it in hoping to restring the guitar with softer, beginner-friendly strings (Instrumental Music didn't have time to do this for us). Turns out the guy behind the counter lowered the action on the guitar for us, completely changing the playability of the instrument so that we didn't even need the softer strings! I was bewildered by his knowledge and willingness to help. He also didn't charge at all for his help. We walked out of the store with a new capo and feeling like we had just bought a new guitar. Needless to say, a very good day made possible by GoDPsMusic (and the guy behind the counter!). read more
