Our Heartbreaking Experience :
Please Read Before Boarding Here
We boarded our dog here from August 2nd to August 13th, and what we experienced was deeply upsetting.
Before his stay, we took him to the vet to make sure he was completely healthy and ready for boarding. He's normally a spirited, affectionate, high-energy dog who greets people with excitement every single time. On August 9th, the facility contacted us to say they noticed a limp but reassured us he was "his normal self," "not in pain," and that they would keep monitoring him. At no point did they mention any swelling or change in demeanor. They even sent us a video of our dog walking to confirm his condition so we were aware.
When we picked him up at the end of his stay, the difference was shocking. His paw was visibly swollen something we noticed within seconds. His normal joyful greetings, barks, and happy energy were gone. He was quiet, withdrawn, and clearly uncomfortable. We also observed other physical changes he had bruises on both sides of his mouth and general signs of distress, which we documented in photos and shared with the facility.
What makes this even more concerning is that during his stay, staff gave him a complimentary bath because of how he uses the restroom. That means they had direct, hands-on contact with him & yet still failed to notice the swelling or anything else. For a place entrusted with the care of family pets, this is a serious and unacceptable oversight.
When we voiced our concerns, the response was disappointing and dismissive. We were told, "We're not veterinarians, & cannot administer medical care" and simply wished a speedy recovery. I know what an accountable, sincere response looks like, and this was neither. It leaned entirely on deflection rather than taking ownership for missing something so obvious.
I understand that accidents can happen, but when they do, pet owners deserve transparency and responsibility. This is not about diagnosing medical issues it's about noticing and reporting clear signs of injury or distress. That is the most basic expectation of a boarding facility.
Sadly, the trust we placed here was broken. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this facility to anyone who expects attentive, thorough monitoring of their pet's well-being. I am sharing our experience so that other pet owners can make a fully informed decision before booking. read more
