Eno Animal Hospital - Boarding fun!

Starting this review by saying the front desk and vet techs are all great. No complaints with them…read more Now, on to it... Avoid Dr. Grinstead at all cost. Not only is her bedside manner lacking (most of the time she spends minimum time in the room, doesn't listen to what you have to say, and you spend the rest of the time asking questions through a tech), but she's misdiagnosed our dog multiple times. I try to avoid her whenever possible, preferring the other two doctors, but when you have an urgent concern and she's the only doctor in, you have to go with what you're given. The real issue with her started this past October. We brought our dog to Eno for a routine dental cleaning on 9/29 (performed by Dr. Grinstead - I didn't get a choice of who did it). He had two little incisors taken out due to deep pockets, but otherwise was given a clean bill of health. Two days later, he couldn't lie his head down. When we brought him in to be checked out, we of course got Grinstead again. She looked at everything on the dog except his mouth (didn't even peek at the extraction site) and told us it was probably acid reflux and neck pain. Fast forward a month and a half, through multiple visits to urgent care, the ER, and Eno, and we find that our dog has an abscess, instability in his lower jaw, and a bone infection. At no point in this entire process did Eno ask to perform xrays or other diagnostics to determine the cause of our dog's pain; they just kept throwing pain meds and muscle relaxers at us. What's worse is that Grinstead's first diagnosis of neck pain haunted us through every other appointment from then on out, because that's what people were looking for, even when I asked if it could be his mouth. Even after urgent care and the ER laid eyes on a sore under his tongue (which I fought for them to look at), the first response I got to an email to Dr. LeCuyer about seeing blood on his blanket again was, "Are we certain that the blood is from Loki's mouth and not his urine? I know he was having issues with a UTI at one point so just wanted to double check on that." Really?! I've been fighting for over a month to have someone check his mouth for issues, and you're still trying to pass it off as something other than his mouth? It's absolutely ridiculous. So here we are, thousands of dollars in the hole, with a dog still suffering from mouth pain, and having to be referred yet again, this time to a dental specialist, all from a supposedly picture-perfect cleaning. I'm furious, frustrated, and wrecked that we're a month and a half into this and our dog has received no relief. I will never recommend or patronize Eno again.

Absolutely Do Not Recommend - Lack of Communication and Poor Judgment…read more I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with Go Dog off Miami Blvd leaves me no choice. In late spring, my 9-month-old puppy contracted Bordetella and a respiratory infection during his very first week of doggie day camp at Go Dog. While I chalked that up to bad luck and appreciated that illnesses can circulate in group dog settings, I was hopeful things would improve. He recovered fully, and we returned--until July, when things took a serious turn for the worse. I boarded my dog for 7 nights while I was out of the country. Despite the fact that he had fully recovered six weeks prior and I had gone out of my way to provide a formal clearance note from my vet, management decided--without my knowledge or consent--to isolate him from the other dogs. They made this decision unilaterally, completely dismissing my communication and the official veterinary documentation I provided. Not only did this show an alarming lack of communication and transparency, but it was also an incredibly poor judgment call that affected my dog's experience and well-being during his stay. There was zero accountability, no meaningful discussion, and no respect for the time I took to address their concerns proactively. Go Dog made a terrible decision, and I no longer trust them with my pet's care. I will never bring him back, and I urge other dog owners to think twice before entrusting their pets to this facility.

The team is so kind, and it's clear how much they love and care for every dog. I completely trust them with Luna, and knowing she's in such great hands gives me so much peace of mind. Today, she got the deluxe bath--what a treat! She had the full spa experience, including a blueberry facial, a nail trim, and lots of love during the drying process. Now she looks, feels, and smells amazing! I'm already looking forward to her next bath--maybe we'll try their new peach scent next time! If you're looking for a daycare or grooming service that truly cares about your pup, GoDog is the place to go!

It turned out I found out I am traveling for the holiday and needed to find someone to watch my kitty. I was lost. It was a week from Christmas making finding an opening a Herculean task. Enter Yelp and all of the great businesses! I found the reference for Phoebe's and really liked what I read. I called to make an appointment and the owner Melissa got right back to me. We set an appointment to meet the next day in the afternoon and she would bring the sitter. I was nervous because while my girl is friendly, she is VERY particular. I didn't have to worry. She immediately took to Sheena putting all of my anxiety to rest. They both asked great questions on my cat's care and wanted to know everything on how to give the best care. They went over everything from food to litter to cost...which considering the timing is not bad. It's $20 per visit and they would cover everything from feeding to getting the mail to taking out the trash. If you need to leave town and need someone to take care of your beloved fur baby...don't hesitate! I'm sure Melissa and her crew will be more than happy to take on the job!

I initially chose her because of her RVT background. On the initial interview she blew me away with her questionnaire. She was very specific about learning their habits and asked about the pet emergency kit! That's when I knew she was serious! She's been doing daily walks for over a year. My husband and I are nurses and we have ever changing schedules and Melissa has shown so much flexibility with us. I feel so lucky to have her daily medical and behavioral assessments. She has helped us enrich the lives of our dogs by making suggestions for treat puzzles, stroller for my old man dog, minimizing competitive behaviors, and urgent trips to the vet. I can't emphasize her influence here enough. She truly cares about the physical and mental health of the boys. She takes extra special care of my elderly 17 year old man dog. They love her so much they howl when they see her drive up! She is also quite the photographer. It's wonderful to receive pictures of my boys enjoying their day with her while I'm at work. Many of them are "frame-worthy." We feel so lucky to have gotten a spot with Melissa, peace of mind with your pets is priceless! I also want to say that Melissa found an injured turtle in my neighbor's driveway. She took it to NCState for treatment. She is an angel!
