I was looking specifically for a unique car with limited available inventory across the whole United States. Godfrey was one of approximately 20 dealerships I contacted regarding their inventory, but was by far the most communicative and polite. In addition, they also had the best pricing available in the country by a considerable margin. On that point alone, and based upon my experiences up to that point with some other dealerships, I would have been willing to put up with substandard customer service. However, I was pleasantly surprised to receive quite the opposite. I'd like to specifically recognize and thank Jared Hurlburt for his exemplary service throughout the process. Despite my being one timezone and 800 miles away, my experience with Godfrey may as well have been that of a them being right down the road from my house. Jared was prompt and patient in answering each and every one of my NUMEROUS emails and voicemails, and walked me through the process, including arranging for delivery of my new car to Kansas City. Well we were moving south, and our high pressure fuel pump went out. They gave us a quote and a day, and we so kind about everything. We were stranded and they let us park our trailers there while we found a motel for the night. When they gave us a quote and a date we gave the go ahead. They were aware that we were not at home and got our truck done a day earlier than they said! Answered every question, and we had a lot. Just purchased a 2018 Impala from them and there was a flat tire and the brakes were bad.. I agree to a deal as long as these items were fixed with them after taking a significant loss on my trade in. Go to pick the car up last Sat. after they had time to take care of the brakes and tire. Was told everything was fine, yep that was not the case. They had to replace the brakes and rotators and calipers all the way around the car. After they let me leave there with it, I figured out the brakes were still not correct. Finally get the car back to notice a nail in the tire that they claim they fixed! I have never had this bad of a car buying experience and would not recommend anyone!! Very dishonest! read more

I got into an accident and brought my truck to the body shop, right away I was given a loner vehicle! Todd in the body shop was great. I was given an estimate of about a month it would take to get my truck back to me. So In my mind I had plenty of time to get money around for my deducible, well I got a call yesterday saying my truck was done. And it had only been a week or so since I dropped it off. So I straight up told them I didn't have the $1000 at the moment. Well I had gotten a call about 3 hours later from Paul and I was told "well we need our loaner back tomorrow with the deductible" after I explained that I didn't have it. Gave them a try twice when buying a car, the Sales Mgr was pretty fair but the sales person that we dealt with was pushy and had no filter of what he says. He made so many comments that left you wondering if he should be in customer service at all. Anyway...all those didn't really bother me until the sales person started saying, if you don't make a deal today then the deal is off and we are taking the car to auction. My elderly parents drove from Traverse City to Cadillac 25 months ago and bought a brand new Chevrolet pick up from Godfrey Motors. Yesterday they went to Godfrey for the second "free" oil change included with their $35,000 purchase. After the oil change was completed they found out the free oil change was only good for 24,000 miles or 24 months which ever came first. Neither the technician or their salesman could help out. My lease is up in two months on my 2017 GMC. I was thinking about a new Chevy pick up from Godfrey like my dad but looks like Williams it is. If disappointments were worthy of high grades your dealership would get an A+. If I ever stepped into a bait and switch situation this had that appearance. Prices on line do not match the on site prices quoted. The $179 lease sticker on the window of a 2017 upon inquiry was over $ 550.00. Salesman: "The sticker was put on the wrong vehicle". Godfrey sold my son a car for around 7000 eight years ago at 25% interest because he was only 18 years old without established credit. They took my 100 dollar trade in without deducting it on the paperwork.He was making 8 bucks an hour and after a few years he fell behind on his nearly 300$ a month payments.They sued him for 10,000. The car blue booked for 3200 a year after he bought it.He's been in the air force for 3 years out of the 6 he signed up for, and now he's getting booted out because he can't get his security clearance with this on his credit report. They say they will settle for a one time payment of 5000, but without credit he can't come up with it. He's got a baby on the way and will probably end up living in a tent in the woods thanks to godfrey chevrolet's great deal.The car had supposedly just come into the lot, and was the only one fitting his lender"s (sea-west) requirements, it was dirty with poor brakes and balding tires. read more
