I'm not sure why the reviews are so mixed on this place. As a follower of Christ I love this brand! The shirts are great quality with think lasting material plus the oversized fit is *chef's kiss* & they have great deals. The only thing I am not the best fan of is sometimes the messages on the shirt aren't biblical or accurate. For example, on one of my favorite shirts on the back of it says my father is a black Jewish man from Bethlehem. Yes, Jesus was born in Bethlehem, but he's not from there. I purchased 11 tees and 6 hoodies. To my surprise, they use Gildan brand shirts and hoodies which I don't really care for but, now I see why their prices are what they are. If I had known they use Gildan brand I would have sized up . I was unhappy to find out ALL SALES ARE FINAL when I attempted to exchange for size. The brand God is Dope is just as dope as its slogan! Not only do I love the overall concept because God truly is dope but I love the founder's story. I'm always intrigued when I read about or watch documentaries about entrepreneurs and how they started. They had a good in-store selection of shirts and I liked the overall decor! I should have read reviews before ordering. I found this brand accidentally and was excited about supporting a black owned small business. I placed an order over a month ago that I have yet to receive. I have made 4 attempts to reach out to customer service with no response. To my knowledge I did not see any verbiage on the site that states orders can take 2-4 weeks to process. Also, you get an email after 2 days stating that your order is being processed with a tracking number. This is all deceiving in my opinion. This is not a good look as a first time customer. First off just take my money... I initially bought one of their first designs at inception of the company... fast forward years later.. and I have 4 shirts .. sweatpants and purchased at least 3 more as items gifts. Everytime they drop a new design I have to fight the itch to buy it as my closset is getting out of control.. lol I've purchased through the website, ig, and at their popup location and have never had any problems. I love the minimal yet higher end look of their design aesthetics. I ordered a bunch of merchandise online before realizing God Is Dope has a physical location in Atlanta. I had made an order and 3 days later there was no update on my order. With only 4 days before Christmas, we rushed to the store hoping to receive customer service. This store is only open on weekends i.e. Friday, Saturday, Sunday. The store does not have parking in front (you will get ticketed or towed) but there is a paid parking lot across the street for $20. We showed up to the store and there were two employees working. The store itself is beautiful. It's like a garden and has designated areas for photo-ops. Super cute. Anyway, I notified the gentleman of my situation and he offered to give me a refund (which was immediate I later realized.) I then purchased the items I wanted in store. The only con to my experience was that the prices online are cheaper than the prices in-store, thus I got less for my money which was unfortunate. There was a package I really wanted to get for my brother-in-law but I knew I wouldn't get it in time so I missed out on that. I want to notify everyone that this is a small business. Very popular, but a small business nonetheless so people need to be patient with orders. I found out a few days before Christmas, that they were still fulfilling orders from Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Meaning, my order was nowhere NEAR being fulfilled. I'm blessed that I happen to be in the same city that the store is located, but the customer service was superb. I do think they need more staff to help during the holiday season because of the influx of orders but overall, I had a positive experience. read more

They are scamming people on the internet. This morning I was contacted "By a representative " after being sent a message informing me that I was a winner of their weekly prize. I normally would ignore messages like this but I was fooled because it looks like a legit page. They have thousands of followers. So I messaged them my phone number and they said that I need to send them my cash app link. I did do that. Then I realized that none of this makes any sense and when I got an alert from Cash App of someone trying to log into my account, I realized that this was truly a scam. From there, I googled God is Dope scam and there are many people who are being scammed by this company and their money is being stolen. I thank God that it wasn't me. I reported them to the BBB and they closed my claim because they do not have their address as a legitimate business on their website. AVOID AT ALL COST!!! read more

Unfortunately, we went to this location to visit while on vacation. There was NOTHING at this address that represented God. Actually it was a grillz place or something now. When we attempted to contact them to see if they relocated, NOBODY ANSWERED! If this is no longer the location, then google and also Yelp needs to be updated. I ordered a few things from God is dope. The merchandise takes a long time to come and also one of my shirts was damaged. I reached out by email numerous times. Only thing I received is a response that says we received your email and we will get back to you. The order was correct when I got it today.I saw other reviews saying they didn't receive the correct items. They need to work on communication with their customers. If they don't fix customer communication soon their business won't last long. So many people are pissed. On Facebook reviews and people complaining on BBB.. Most orders are processed and shipped within 3-5 business days, however, during periods of high demand such as sales and collection releases please allow up to 5-12 business days for your package to be processed and shipped. read more

I've been a God is Dope fan since they first came out. I even wanted to go to the AirBNB they had in place but when my trip to ATL happened , the venue was no longer in operation. On a lighter note I ordered my clothing a week ago, and it arrived on time. No Problem! The only issue I have is actual packaging. I purchased several items which were folded neatly into a box but the box has shedded a lot of its qualities onto the clothing. This is very disappointing, knowing that the first time I ordered from the company all articles of clothing was separated and sealed off. In spite of the slight mishap, the order is correct and I believe in giving props when necessary. First let me say, their products are OUTSTANDING. Everything I've purchased always gets tons of compliments and the materials and stitching are too notch so they last for years. They also come up with a bunch of new products and designs and keep the line fresh and have some sick color combos. On top of that they always have great sales. The main problem is that, although they are only a 25-30 minute drive from my home, it always takes WEEKS to get my order of "In stock" items. About 2-3 weeks for them to ship, and then when they do it always takes another 3-4 days to go the 20 miles to my doorstep. I order as frequently as my patience allows. I would probably order once or twice a week, but I already know I'll be frustrated with the process of actually getting my items. And I've gone to their actual store on a number of occasions (both the old and new locations), but the selection in store is often very limited. If they can streamline their shipping or at least get their store up to snuff they'd get 4.5-5 stars from me because their products are spectacular. read more
