    Baby Goat

This place was epic. I got to do the experience with baby goats! The soaps and cheese are really amazing in their store as well. Everyone was so friendly! Where have these goats been my whole life !!!!!!

This is a cool cosmetic company/dairy located in Scottsburg. We came to check out the food so we went to the café in the back where they sell all sorts of chocolates, ice cream, cheeses, etc. We will definitely be coming back when we have more time (we were just driving by when we saw the signs on the interstate) to check out the facility by taking a tour and eat more than just some chocolates.

Where have these goats been all of my life? First, watching them jump on the log and play follow the leader made me instantly happy! If nothing else, I will be back for that! Second, I'm a sucker for stuff that smells good and makes my skin feel soft so of course I bought some soaps. Third, hello Sweet Shop! I wanted everything! I love the family story and how it's posted so you can read if you aren't familiar. I can't wait to go back!

Stopped in off Exit 29 A coming from Columbus, Indiana hitting breweries. Got my wife some great smelling lavender soap made with goats milk in the first building by parking lot. Sweets and postcards are found in the second building with restrooms. Free cheese or fudge samples with Yelp check in couldn't get mine as the two brothers were quite busy dishing out ice cream. It was funny to see the brothers interacting with each other while trying to get the masses their treats. They also have a freezer full of different meats I assume are from the farm. They mailed my postcards I bought after I put my stamps on in the first building. Go ahead and get five it's a better deal than 2 or 3 one of the brothers told me that day.

This place is really cool !!!!!!!!!!!! I must admit I was very hesitant about going. My son had been wanting to go (who is 15 yrs old) and I thought it was for little kids only. So, like most parents, I gave in after 2 yrs of him bugging me to take him. I called to get their hours and find out a little bit about it. It's best to make reservations, so that's what we did. When we got there we checked in and everyone waited in the gift shop for our tour time. Our tour guide comes out (who was a young kid) more on that later. So off we went, onto the tour. 1sr he explained what the place was all about, where they came from and how they ended up where they are now. I was impressed because this young kid was full of information and good with a group of people. Come to find out, he has been doing this most of his young life. This place is a 100% family owned and operated goat farm with areas for soap making as well as a small restaurant. Our tour guide has done it all here and will the rest of his life. We toured the soap making facilities and learned all about that process along with the shipping that they do all over the world. Next was the goat farm. That was very informative as well. We learned all about all the different goats, the milking process and the dog that guarded a group of goats. At the end there is a petting area set up if you want to go in and pet/play with some baby goats. After the tour is over you get 1 free bar of soap from the gift shop. And there must be 100 different fragrances to choose from. Something else you learn and see on the tour is they grow all their food there and live there also. We walked past their huge garden and home which is very impressive. The snack bar offers some ice cream and the restaurant offers some tasty sandwiches. Again, stuff from that big garden even ends up at the restaurant. Nothing is wasted at the restaurant, if there are scraps left they have areas where that goes and/or animals that get it. Any age, I highly recommend this place!!!!!!

Do you love goats? Sriracha goat cheese? Chocolate goat milk? Goat milk soap? Natural deodorant? Lip balm? Then you need to check out Goat Milk Stuff on your next road trip. It's both an adorable and delicious attraction (with a free Yelp check-in offer) just off of the Scottsburg exit. Pro Tip: bring a cooler for all of the flavored goat cheese you'll end up buying!

I love goats. To paint you a picture of how much I love them, know that id drive miles upon miles out of my way for "kid time." After ten years of showing Pygmy goats in 4H, I often find myself having withdraws and scheming how our downtown yard could be converted into a homestead farm. I had caught wind of this spot on Yelp a few weeks ago, so after several weeks of thinking of the goats we hopped in the car and made a visit. I was reallllly looking forward to a hands-on experience with the goats. I knew the goats milk products were the bread and butter of this business but I had hoped the goats' visibility would be much more prominent from the front of the farm. Unfortunately, seeing the goats firsthand is only possible a few times a day for a fee. However, in the meantime you can purchase body products, puddings, cheeses and more. The true cherry on top was experiencing the children of the owners. They were extremely professional and intelligent. Kudos to the family for a smart business with all hands on deck!

    Playing with the baby goats!

Such a fun time at Goat Milk Stuff. The tour was very insightful and we loved seeing the garden. The goats were absolutely precious, I think we could've spent hours in there. Lunch was absolutely phenomenal, I had some tomato bisque soup and it was some of the best I've had. Gelato was delicious! And now I'm all stocked up on soap for the rest of the year. Couldn't think of a better way to spend a nice Saturday! Thank you Jonas family!

    So many soaps!

So happy I brought my friend from out of town here during her visit. I loved seeing the baby goats playing and cuddling and sleeping. So adorable. There was also a cat and dog roaming around having a good ole day. The store had soaps, fragrances, lip balms. The sweet shop had amazing goat milk gelato. I can't wait to go back for lunch some time. I heard it was amazing from so many visitors. The trip from Louisville was absolutely worth it!

I would recommend stopping here if you are in the local area especially if you have kids. We ate lunch in the cafe and they were very friendly. All of the food was delicious (cheese curds- highly recommend). After lunch we checked out the shop and did goat yoga which was really fun and a different experience!

They got goat stuff!! Real goats, stuffed goats, shirts, lip balm, fudge, gelato, cheese, milk and more and more goat stuff. Lunch was quick, order at counter and delivered to the table. Reuben was on grilled sourdough bread with holes, which made a Reuben hard to handle. The soup of the day, went in an optional bread bowl and this day was potato, but overly cheesy and had a smoked flavor, never saw a potato or tasted one. They do tours, they have a nice gift area and a nice selection of cakes. ..... a very nice facility, will return to get goodies, desserts and check out the goats.

Just a tour on the farm, it was the best time. We got to see how the soap was made, walked though where it was created and formed. Saw all the animals and at the very end...baby goats!!!! Also the sweets where really great. Took home some fudge, will update review. Having tried the soap before, it's very soft and gently on your skin. The selection in store was amazing as well, got some lip balm to try out as well. I love the tea treat shampoo I use everyday. It definitely treats my hair right.

This will last about 2 weeks tops. Old bar was twice the size for $6.50 exactly 1 year ago. COVID right??
    Wesley E.

Shell game on the soap size. They sell a massively thick bar of soap you can't even hold in your hand for $9.95. The old 'standard' bar has been cut in half but still sells for $5.95. It's a shell game and the winner is the greedy company. You can't afford the soap anymore unless you rob a couple liquor stores first. Shame.

I was taught at all three clothing department that even if it's close to closing time, you cannot tell customers they can't come in or rush them out. We can close the gate so no other customers come in, but if we still have customers in the store at that moment, we still help them. I'm still in shocked at the customer service I received on Monday, May 25th at The Cosmetic Store at the Edinburg Premium Outlet. I walked into the store around 8:48pm. (Yes, I'm fully aware that they close at 9pm but I also knew exactly what I needed in the store. Therefore, my visit to this store would've been a quick visit/purchase. I'm also certain they have security cameras so if my timing is incorrect, their security cameras can be proof) Immediately upon entering into the store, employee #1 (whom isn't pictured) huffed and said, "Ma'am we close in 5 minutes." (Keep in mind it's 8:48ish and No, she didn't even say hi or greet me when I walked in the store.) I looked at my watch and said, "Ok. I have time I just need to grab a mac product real quick." She just looked at me, rolled her eyes, and didn't even reply or say ok, but that's fine. Not even two minute later, employee #2 (whom is pictured) comes out from the back and says, "um ma'am we close in 5 minutes!" Rudely. This is wrong of me but I did take a deep breath, put the Mac Pro long foundation down, looked at her and said, "are you guys trying to kick me out? I heard her the first time when she said the store closes in five minutes." Lady in the video: "No, I'm not kicking you out but we close in five minutes and we get customers who shop after 9pm and keep us here past 9pm. So you need just hurry up and be out in 5 minutes" Me: "Wow, I'm baffled. As a customer you are making me feel as if I can't even shop here and I feel as if you're kicking me out." Lady in the video: "If I was kicking you out I wouldn't said get out! I just said for you to hurry up and be out in 5 minutes because we close in 5 minutes!" Me: "gosh, your alls customer service is horrible. Absolutely horrible! Not just horrible but rude. I just feel you're trying to kick me out so forget it." Lady in the video: "Im not kicking you out but you need to hurry up, you have 5 minutes." (Video provided.) Me: "Ok, but that was rude though. Ok. Very rude. And she was rude too. Forget it. Don't worry about it." While I was saying that, she proceeds to raise her voice to me, "to tell you that you had five minutes?" (Obviously She doesn't think by rudely telling me to hurry up and that I had five minutes was an issue.) I wish I was smarter and thought quicker so that I could record the whole conversation. But again, I'm sure they have video surveillances so the companies camera can vouch for our entire conversation. All in all, yes maybe I should've turned around and walked out when employee #1 told me I had 5 minutes. (Indicating for me to either 1.) hurry up or 2.) get our. But if you're in the retail field, I don't think this is considered good customer service. Anyhow, so if you happen to ever shop at this store, beware of this lady. Maybe bring her a whopper and a strawberry milk shake, it might just make her day slightly better. :) jk
