Our first two quotes confirmed my fears--the job was going to be too expensive or we just couldn't trust that it would be done with durable quality. We were told cabinet refacing was a thing of the past, but AKB are truly professionals at transforming an aged kitchen. Affordable Kitchen & Bath was the exception and we couldn't recommend them more enthusiastically. Lukeas and Ben were knowledgeable, responsive, creative, hard-working, and fairly priced, and got our job done right on budget and on time. The result is beautiful and has exceeded our expectations, and it was truly an enjoyable experience to work with people as patient and committed to quality as Lukeas and Ben. Looking forward to starting our next project with them!

Very pleased with the experience we had with AKB. Hope to use again for our kitchen…read more Ben and Chris were professional, knowledgable, and dependable. We were pleased with the plumbing, electricial, and tile (Ivan and Simon) sub-contractors that were used for our bathroom project. We've encountered our fair share of contractors and, for this job in general, received many over-the-top quotes and/or no shows. Ben was reasonably priced and consistent in his communication. He provided us with a project calendar (we've never had that happen w/ a contractor) and while, his team went over their original due date--unexpected issues--he maintained communication with us about who would be where, when, and why. Very happy :)

That doesn't mean all the other folks I talk to aren't amazing too. I wanna say Chris? (giant man , compared to my 5'2" stature) is also kind and helpful. I will keep coming back. It's a great relationship that I will continue to cultivate! Thanks yall!

We're about to close on a new home and are in need of lots of renovation materials at deep discounts. So for Valentine's Day we shopped around and made plans for our new home together -- a bit of dreaming and a bit of reality. He had heard about Builders Surplus, and what we found was aisle after aisle of basic home items. We are focusing most of our attention on bathroom and kitchen re-dos. Builders Surplus had lots of stone and laminate countertops to look at -- most in the $30-per-square-foot range. (Countertops at other stores have been more in the $50 to $80 range.) Similarly, Builders Surplus had some great prices on tile. In particular, I found large square marble-looking tile that would be great for a bathroom floor for $1.29 square foot compared to much more at big box stores, which we ventured to after Builders Surplus, providing some great cost comparisons. Builders Surplus also had a large selection of bathroom and kitchen sinks and bases for bathroom sinks. Plus, many of the bathroom sink bases are made with unfinished wood, making it easy to paint the base to fit with the bathroom. We got to Builders Surplus about 20 minutes before closing, so we were rushed to see it all. I'm holding out my fifth star for when we go back and make some very fun purchases.

Went here to shop for some bathroom showers/vanities for my basement that we are finishing. The…read moreplace is very large and does have a large selection and the layout is very inviting and near. Like a huge showroom floor of the best stuff. We went on a late Thursday morning and there wasn't many people there at all. Our issue was the workers. The few we spoke too seemed to either be unknowledgeable, uninterested and lacked customer service skills. The lady working the front entrance I hope was new because she was clueless about everything including the layout. The representing that she finally got for us after about 15 min of us roaming around seemed like she would rather get a route canal then help us out. Also kinda spoke to us like we were the expert and should know about the brands and product. When the main focus of our visit is to to see what our options were and to see what we liked. I'd say about 24-48 hours we made our purchase but not from here. The customer service experience turned us off. The pricing at This establishment is in the high end. However as mentioned they only have high end things on the showroom floor. So that is to be expected. Most people including us do not mind to spend a little extra for nicer things but we do expect to recover knowledgeable and helpful information before making a purchase of large magnitude.

I honestly didn't have a huge problem with that until I heard a lady say she was going to look at something real fast and they let her enter. After we got to enter the showroom and found some items we loved, she couldn't help because she had to stand at the door, but we could be put on a waitlist or look it up online. I did not drive to the store to then go look it up online. This store has some really nice pieces, but very poor customer service. They took social distancing to a new level! All in all, we wanted to purchase items for our bathroom remodel today, but I refuse to buy from a place with poor customer service.

Wanting to make this happen this year, I initially checked out Conners after I saw a local commercial. I sure was glad I did, because their estimate was significantly cheaper than the other local company I'd contacted. It was a no brainier to go with them. The owner, Jamie, is very personable and knowledgeable and you can tell he's super dedicated to his business. He made sure I was very informed about everything I was getting myself into. While the project took a little longer than originally expected, the installation guys did a fabulous job and were very thorough. I could not be happier with my choice to go with these guys - highly recommended. I will definitely be using them for any flooring (and they do cabinetry too!) needs in my future.

I received a text confirming that Jaime would arrive at a specific date and time. Jaime did arrive on schedule with his measuring equipment, but he did not bring any samples. He told me he would follow up in a couple of days with pricing. It has now been over 12 days with no estimate and no communication. He also didn't seem particularly interested in the project or in answering our questions. This lack of follow‑through is disappointing and unprofessional. If a company has the tools to take measurements on-site, there's no reason an estimate should take this long. Two other companies measured the same space with basic tools and still provided same‑day quotes. Choose a company that values your time and delivers on what they promise.
