Shop is fine. Prices are good so long as you pay for their membership card. Staff are pleasant. But oh my God pray you never have to deal with their head office customer service dept. They are completely incompetent and lazy. I ordered some jackets online for my family, in several sizes to try. Kept 4, returned 6. They processed the refund at three different prices - for the same jacket in different sizes. When I pointed out their error I just got a "we refunded this correctly" email. I'm now 12 emails in to this conversation and they're still doubling down. No attempt to explain why they're applied 3 different prices to the same jacket. No attempt to explain why the difference between my original payment and the refund is more than the cost of the 4 jackets I've kept. Just insulting "I've looked into this..." emails when they clearly haven't looked into it and can't be bothered. Lazy, rude and incompetent. It's terrible that their shop staff are being undermined by head office like this. read more

Go Outdoors is located just off the A45 and is an ideal location for me, but you need to know where it is because its out of the way a little bit. Store is absolutley massive and has a large range of goods. Has some great offers on coats and tents, which is ideal for family holidays as we love to go camping. I would recommend visiting here if your looking at buying tents or anything to do with the outdoors. Staff can be a bit useless but where dont you get that. read more

Brilliant. A whole superstore with a massive range of outdoor goods. They have some amazing offers, if you can grab them. Found some walking boots for my boyfriend for only £39 instead of the £100 they were everywhere else, but they sold out at the speed of light. Good prices on all equipment, always seems to be a sale. Well worth joining - it's £4 a year and you get the best discounts. Always plenty of car parking space. read more

Go Outdoors is massive. You can get nearly anything you want for those exciting outdoor activities from camping, walking, cycling to fishing and more. They have a huge selection and is the first palce I go for these out door things. They have a discount card which gives great value. the range is huge and the staff are always very helpful read more

This store is great, it has the essentials for all camping and caravaning holidays plus lots lots more extra gadgets and gimics. The shop is massive and looks like a huge warehouse, but in a good way. It is quite near the A45 and is worth a visit due to the size of the store and range of goods at reasonable prices. As im not a camping expert i was pleased to see how much the staff knew although my questions were probably very basic they did seem to have atleast a decent knowledge on camping and caravaning. The store is huge! This is also true for the range of produce that they sell. Be prepared to spend a while exploring all the gadgets that they have! It goes from light leisure and sports wear to hard core camping and other outdoor persuits. They are weel priced and have a discount card that lasts a year at a time. This is a store which I have used countless times by shopping from their website. They sell a huge range of sports/leisure/camping and outdoor gear. The first time I used them was to buy some gear for Glastonbury, and I chose them because they had the best prices of all the stores I checked out. Currently they are still one of the cheapest! Their delivery is speedy too I recently ordered some camping gear and despite them stating they despatch items within 5-7 working days, the items arrived the next day. And that was during the postal strikes!! (Note - you can pay more for guaranteed fast delivery if you need to be sure). LOVE THIS PLACE! It has everything you could want or need for any form of outdoor activity. The store is large and holds a whole range of items from clothing, safety kit, bags, sleeping bags, tents, bikesjust anything you could want! It is just absolutely brilliant! you can get a discount card for £4.00 per year and if you are buying a lot of equipment then you really notice the savings. The staff are friendly and helpful and will gladly discuss any queries you may have and will recommend equipment and kit you may need. It is far to easy to spend an hour or more in this shop!! Great place to go for all your camping stuff - they have some really good stuff when on offer

I'm still not entirely sure how Go Outdoors does it. Yes, it is simply massive, and yes, it operates on a 'discount card' scheme, but I still can't quite work out how the store manages to discount so heavily. This store should be the first stop for local people wanting anything 'outdoorsy' and if you are considering a major purchase, it is worth the long drive from further afield. One major saving we made was over £300 off the RRP of a family tent, and we have seen trailer tents at literally £1000s off the RRP. The camping, caravanning, footwear and apparel is all top-brands at low prices, and though the fishing centre has deteriorated since being taken back over by the store, it is still great for stocking up on the basics. Occasionally it can be hard to find a member of staff free, but generally they are knowledgeable and helpful when you do collar one! The queues are also sometimes rather large, but still worth it when you consider the pricing. The best discounts require a membership card; these can be obtained at the time of purchase, cost only a few pounds and last for a full year. read more

Go outdoors is really fantastic and beats most places prices. The range they stock is immense and the discount card system is fantatsic. The tents are very heavily discounted and beat many online prices. They also have some great sales where an even better bargain can be had. Not that much car-parking at this store on a busy day but the pub nearby also has a car park. Staff very friendly and even have a comments board for customers to write on as they are leaving the store where they can comment on service and also if anything they wanted wasn't in stock. read more

just round the corner from me - have spent many hours in here over the months! bargains to be found - and they also have a price promise that if you can find it cheaper elsewhere ( has to be in stock) they will refund the difference plus 10% i think. best going midweek IMO, as the weekend staff are usually just casual staff and the full timers seem to know their stuff more good customer service read more

Ordered the Idaho XL from Go Outdoors after seeing it in store, Web price was even cheaper and more than 100 pound less than anywhere else. Was a little reluctant to order after some of the reviews on here but ordered goods on Monday and they arrived Wednesday morning, glad I took the plunge now as the saving is fantastic. I havent unpcked the tent yet but im no expecting any problems as the tent and pole bags came in the original Outwell packaging. read more

I was not happy with the way this company performs. They took my order and card details on line for about 5 items and took over a week to tell me they couldn't supply any of the articles. When I viewed the website a few days later at least half of the items were still displayed for sale. A month later a Paramo teashirt I ordered is still for sale, although I was told it was out of stock. To avoid disappointment I would not recommend buying on line. read more
