My pup can be difficult due to the lack of rapport and building by his previous groomer and my lack of knowledge in the area of training my pup to be more comfy during grooms. Aly, Londyn, and Elizabeth were all compassionate, responsive, transparent, and genuinely concerned about my pups throughout the entire situation. Due to a family illness the little fellas missed a monthly appointment. They were taken in, and I understood there was some matting. Instead of trying to work out some of the matting in order to maintain the cut and breed of my boys they butchered them They won't take credit or checks. They are near a major Hwy intersection of so hold tight to your pups, and the front desk guy has as much personally as a pet rock.They took out the clippers and shaved them. When I walked up to the place the building had two doors like a duplex apartment the first door is an apartment and the second door is a pet salon. When I came to the first door I knocked and a blond haired lady came to the door she seemed nice, but I had a funny feeling about this place. She told me to come to the second door and she would be there. I walked over to the other door and waited and waited then rang the doorbell. She came to the door and said "oh, I thought it was unlocked". Ok, weird. When I walked in the place immediately smelled like cigarette smoke it was very disturbing. The lady quickly took Pocky and said it'll only be 20 mins when on the phone she said 30 mins. All I could hear was my Pocky nonstop crying and this wasn't like any ole cry this was serious. So, I got up to see why he was crying because the lady was clipping Pocky's nails. She was trying to be as gentle as possible, but it wasn't working according to Pocky. Pocky started to cry more because the lady stopped working on him (because she was letting the flea dip soak on him) and started to work on a cat. Now, Pocky hates cats because they are scary looking and cruel to him. The lady immediately stopped early because she couldn't handle Pocky whining and crying. Sometimes it's hard, but I deal with his crying because I know what difficult past that he has been thru. With the death of his sister and him witnessing that. Poor thing, my Pocky deserves way more than that! Nice lady, but we won't be coming back! I can't handle cigarette smoke and have my clothing stanky. The lady charged me a flat $15 for blow dry, flea dip, nail trim, and bath . She said it was only $15, I had $20. She gave me $3.50 back. Not even the correct amount she was supposed to give me $5 back. She said she could run over to Donkey Mexican restaurant to get more money, but the nasty smell of that smoke I felt very uncomfortable and Pocky was too we were ready to go! Won't be back!! It was diagnosed as a fatty tumor (I can't remember the exact name) that is rarely serious. It was drained and we went home with meds. About a month later it was back. Over the next few weeks we exhausted all options thinking it would go away on its own finally having to remove it with surgery being the last resort. The surgery was done one morning and Ziggy was home that evening. Dr. Sims described the surgery and assured me that she was able to remove all of the tumor and would send it off to the lab to be analyzed. Ziggy went home with pain meds, antibiotic and anti-inflammatory meds. They made sure he'd be comfortable while he wore his "cone of shame" in order to not mess with the operation site. She called me the next day to tell me the results showed cancer. I was obviously freaked out! She reassured me that she wasn't worried about it reappearing. She said we'd keep an eye on it with more than regular checkups. I really feel like Ziggy received the best care possible! I feel like she took care of Ziggy as if he were her own cat! I love the fact that it's a cats only facility. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable with cat decor that looks inviting. The entire staff is friendly and professional but most of all not rigid as I've found the staff and vets alike to be at other clinics in the area. We've also never waited long to be seen or placed in an exam room. Highly recommend Feline Medical Center!!! I'll never bring my cats anywhere else!!
