Before being groomed today

I took my Goldendoodle in today. I knew she was matted and they would have to shave her short. The only thing I asked was to please not cut her long doodle eyelashes. They cut them! This was first time here. Before, when I've had her groomed when we lived in Vegas, they would trim her head, not shave! She was matted then too.I think the worst is, they completely shaved her tail! I didn't even recognize her. I didn't say anything, just was in shock. Paid and left. Never going back. Greg seemed really nice. This was a big disappointment.

Greg does a wonderful job with our pups! We will not let anyone else even bathe them. He's very caring and our dogs love him, too.

Then they moved & it was even more convenient. I'd drop my dog off by 8am & i told them I'd be back no later than 6pm & they said that was fine due to it was on a day i was working . However upon arriving 2 different times i had to wait approximately 45 min to an hour . I was understanding about it although i didn't care for it. I felt after my dog had been there since 8am she should have been done . I considered myself a loyal customer. One day my neighbor had taken her dog there & i was told by neighbor without informing her they charged her $80.00. Upon my dogs next appt i mentioned it briefly to them & since then they said they are all booked up till March & this was in January & that they have their regular customers ( i was a regular customer ). Plus they told me my dog doesn't stand well . As long as I've had my fur baby & mind you she is approx 13 years I've never been told anything to the negative side , however i personally feel you need to take dogs age into consideration. I've called several times even trying to get my dog an appointment in March & they don't answer their phone for me. This is a business & i feel you should answer your ph no matter what. I never had an issue with Express pet Spa , but i certainly don't appreciate the way they've just brushed me aside. Had i been mean or ugly i could see them not wanting to respond but this is not the case. I've never written a review before but this experience has bothered me .

The grooming itself has been inconsistent, with less attention to detail than I experienced in the past. It's disappointing, as this used to be a go-to spot. I hope management takes the time to reassess and improve the overall experience.It feels like there's less attention to detail and care overall. Hoping to see improvements, because this used to be a place I trusted. Please consider putting Eddie back at front gate so it's welcoming and not feeling like an interrogation when we drop our fur babies off.

We have been using Bayside to board our dogs for years and never had an issue, until this time…read more We received a call on Sunday from one of the managers stating our dog had a nosebleed during her bath at bayside. It was a lot of blood, so much so that she drove in to see what had happened. *My dog has never had a nosebleed before. The young lady working the front desk really needs some training on customer service. She gave my wife incorrect information during drop off. When we picked our dog up and were asking for an explanation to why she told us what she did and why there was soo much blood during her bath. The girl just kept staring blankly at her computer. One of the other employees at the front desk read what the manager who had left for the day had written. . So much for the healthy pet guarantee. We have an appointment with our vet to have her checked out. The only positive takeaway would be the intake employees. They have always been kind and I feel they really care about the animals.
